Technical meeting 20.00 in Scandic Nord Hotel Fencing equipment control for girls from 09.00-12.30 in fencing arena Pistol and laser control for all in the fencing arena Fencing - Semi final boys Opening Ceremony Fencing - Semi final girls Swimming & CE - Semi final boys and girls Technical meeting for finals 19.00 in Scandic Nord Hotel Final boys / Final girls Awarding Ceremony Culture activity / Disco in Fencing arena Technical meeting for relays at Disco Relays ( 2 boys / 2 girls) Mixed Relays (1 boy and 1 girl) Awarding Ceremony Banquet Scandic Nord Hotel Departure of the delegations
RULES The competition will be carried out according to the UIPM competition rules. Fencing: Fyrishov Arena Swimming: Fyrishov Arena - 50m indoor swimming pool / 8 lanes Combined Event: Hit laser targets (compressed air will be available) - Grass surface ECONOMICAL CONDITIONS All the delegations (including athletes, coaches and officials) will be charged : Accommodation per person per night: Single room: 120 Euros Double room: 100 Euros Triple room: 90 Euros The fee listed above is per person per day and includes the following: Accommodation with full board Transportation (local transport from/to the event and shuttle from/to Arlanda- Stockholm International airport, bus- or railway station located in Uppsala. Entries to the competition venues Culture activity / Disco and Banquet Delegations are required to send by bank transfer a minimum of 30% of the total amount of your stay before 16 june 2014. Otherwise the reservation will not be guaranteed. After receiving the Final Entry Form and deposit (non-refundable) we will send to each delegation an invoice with the total cost of stay for your team. This to be paid by transfer before 1 july or by cash at the accreditation desk on arrival. All the payments are accepted in EUROS only other currencies will not be accepted. Nations wishing to arrange their own accommodation are required to notify the hosting NF/LOC. This must be noted in Entry Form A. NF wishing to arrange its own accommodation must pay an Accreditation Fee per participant (athlete, coach or official) 50 Euros per day, minimum 4 days. The Accreditation Fee must be paid by bank transfer with the Final Entry Form. For this, we will provide lunch boxes for the competition days and allow access to official transportation between the Headquarter hotel and competition sites, entries to the competition venues. Everyone that is not paying the accreditation fee excepting the LOC member is not allowed to entering the transport bus to the venue or from/to the airport, train station and between the hotel and the venue. Entry Forms will not be accepted if any athlete is missing his/her License Number. Please contact immediately UIPM Headquarters if your athlete is missing his/her License. TARGETS Laser Hit targets will be used for the combined competition, therefore the athletes are required to bring their own laser pistols. TRANSPORTATION PLAN Transportation from the Arlanda/Stockholm airport to the official hotel and the return journey will be provided by LOC. Transportation between the competition venues will be provided by LOC. VISAS Some nations in the world require a visa to visit Sweden. According to it you are to complete the attached visa template with your personal passport information and e-mail it to LOC. In compliance with your personal data a scanned formal invitation letter will be issued & e-mailed back to you. It is to be taken to the nearest Swedish Consulate along with your corresponding personal documents such as passport, the necessary number of
pictures, completed application form, etc. We strongly recommend to call the Consulate in question or study its website before taking the documents to the Consulate. Please be advised that you are to deal with the Consulate directly without applying to any intermediate visa companies (agencies). The documents can be submitted by your representative, no personal presence is required. As the above visa procedure is exceptional, please make sure you mention that you are applying for the Swedish visa to attend the Youth A European Championships in Modern Pentathlon. INSURANCE All members of the attending Delegations must insure themselves in case of illness. The organiser will not accept any responsibility financial or otherwise for loss, injury or illness of any Delegation member. FIREARMS Please send the number of your firearm in advance. Airpistol firearms are legal in Sweden GENERAL INFORMATION All athletes are kindly requested to wear their official national uniform at the competitions. Distance from the hotel and the sport venue is about 15 minutes by foot. Weather conditions: warm temperate 20-30 degrees C.
