Itinerary Day to Day Day 1: Arrival in Nykøbing We recommend a tour south to Marielyst, where you can explore the first typical Danish seaside resort with its beach life, small arts and crafts shops, shops and restaurants. Overnight in Nykøbing. Day 2: Lolland round tour to Knuthenborg and Maribo 65 km Today you cycle on quiet roads to the town of Maribo on the neighbouring island of Lolland. You can visit the safari park of Knuthenburg and then complete the circle on your bike with the return trip through the nature park of the Mariboseen. Day 3: Nykøbing to island Møn 70 km Today we continue to the island of Møn: you will have a relaxed ride to Stubbekøbing and take the ferry (not included) to the island of Bogø. From there, you continue on the beautiful bike paths to the medieval town Stege. Pinterest.com Day 4: Round tour to the Møns Klint chalk cliffs 45 km Today is for an island exploration on Møn. You can cycle to the chalk cliffs and visit the Geocenter Møns Klint, or take a walk on the beach. Also it is worth a visit to the Liselund Castle, it is romantically situated near the chalk cliffs. Day 5: Island Møn - Baltic coast of south Zealand 55 km You leave the island of Møn and follow the bike path Berlin - Copenhagen to the town Præstø. Præstø is a small romantic harbour town, which was also visited by the Danish poet Hans Cristian Andersen, whose place of work is known today by the Thorvaldsen Art Collection. Or maybe you are still full of energy?! If yes, cycle through the countryside in direction Neastved, where you can visit the castle gardens of Schloss Gavnø with rich flowering plants.
Day 7: Praestøfjord - Nykøbing 60 km Your return trip to Nykøbing takes you through the town of Vordingborg, which is known as an important residence of Danish kings in the medieval times. History books tell that from here, they made expeditions to the North German coast. And here Denmark was united by Valdemar the Great in the 12th century.
