THE GREYHOUND RACING NSW + LADBROKES MILLION DOLLAR CHASE - TERMS & CONDITIONS TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Greyhound Racing New South Wales (GRNSW) advises owners and trainers of their obligations under the Terms and Conditions of Entry to the GRNSW + Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase (Event). These Terms and Conditions of Entry apply to all owners and/or trainers (Nominator(s)) who nominate a greyhound/s to compete at any race meetings which form part of the Event and/or any Associated Event (as defined below), including (but not limited to): Qualifying Finals (Regional and City) scheduled to be held between 3 September - 6 October 2018; Semi-Finals scheduled to be held on 12 October 2018; and Grand Final scheduled to be held on 20 October 2018. Nomination of any greyhound for any race meeting which forms part of the Event and/or any Associated Event is deemed as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Entry. Conduct of Race Meetings 1. The conduct of race meetings which form part of the Event or Associated Events is subject to: the Greyhound Welfare Integrity Commission (GWIC) Greyhound Racing Rules; and the GRNSW Grading Policy. 2. In the event that there is conflict between the Terms and Conditions of Entry and the grading policy, the Terms and Conditions of Entry will prevail.

Event eligibility and entry fees 3. GRNSW has sole discretion to accept or reject the nomination of any greyhound for entry to compete in the Event or Associated Event for any reason whatsoever. 4. Minimum requirements for eligibility to enter the Event: A greyhound will not be eligible to compete in any race meeting until its Nominator(s) has paid an entry fee as per Race Entry Fee Schedule. Race Entry Fee Schedule (i) (ii) $60 (gst inclusive) per greyhound per Regional Heat $60 (gst inclusive) per greyhound per City Qualifier (iii) $60 (gst inclusive) per greyhound per Semi-Final (iv) (v) $110 (gst inclusive) per greyhound - to contest the Consolation Final $550 (gst inclusive) per greyhound - to contest the Grand Final 100% from each entry fee will be donated by GRNSW to the NSW Greyhounds As Pets (GAP) program. Each eligible greyhound is permitted to compete in at most one (1) Qualifying Final (Regional). If a greyhound fails to qualify for the Semi- Finals in a Qualifying Final (Regional), then that greyhound is eligible to nominate for a Qualifying Final (City). There is no limit to the number of Qualifying Finals (City) in which a greyhound can compete. Once a greyhound has qualified for the Semi-Finals, it is not eligible to compete in any other Qualifying Final. The Event details 5. The Event Regional Qualifying Heats Greyhounds eligible to compete in the Event Regional qualifying heats will be up to the best 64 greyhounds nominated. Order of entry will be pursuant to GRNSW Grading Policy guidelines. If less than 64 nominations are received, GRNSW reserve the right to grade the number of races as determined by the nominations. Where possible preference will be given to drawing full fields.

The Event Regional Qualifying Finals Greyhounds eligible to compete in the Event Regional Qualifying finals will be as follows: (i) if 4 heats conducted: first and second place getters; (ii) if 5 heats conducted: 5 x first place getters + 3 fastest seconds placed runners; (iii) if 6 heats conducted: 6 x first place getters + 2 fastest seconds placed runners; (iv) if 7 heats conducted: 7 x first place getters + 1 fastest second placed runner; and (v) if 8 heats conducted: 8 x first placed runners. Reserves for the Regional qualifying finals will be drawn from the greyhounds who finish in the order Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, (on times). The greyhounds placing First and Second in each Qualifying Final (Regional) will qualify for the Semi-Finals (22 greyhounds total). If the greyhound placing First and/or Second becomes ineligible for the Semi-Finals, then the greyhound which places Third will qualify for the Semi-Finals (and so on as necessary).

8. The Event City Qualifying Finals There will be 14 Qualifying Finals (City) held at Wentworth Park on: 22 September (5 Qualifiers); 29 September (5 Qualifiers); and 6 October (4 Qualifiers). The greyhounds placing First, Second and Third in each Qualifying Final (City) will qualify for a place in the Semi-Finals (42 greyhounds total). If the greyhound placing First, Second and/or Third becomes ineligible for the Semi-Finals, then the greyhound which places Fourth will qualify for the Semi-Finals (and so on as necessary). The order of entry for the Qualifying Finals (Regional and City) will be pursuant to GRNSW Grading Policy guidelines. 16 Reserves for the Semi-Finals will be drawn from the greyhounds who finish in the order Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth (on times) from the Qualifying Finals (City) and are eligible to be drawn. 9. The Event Semi-Finals There will be eight (8) Semi-Finals held at Wentworth Park on 12 October 2018. The greyhound placing First in each Semi-Final will qualify for a place in the Grand Final. If the greyhound placing First in a Semi-Final becomes ineligible for the Grand Final, then the greyhound which places Second will qualify for the Grand Final (and so on as necessary). Two Reserves for the Grand Final will be drawn from the two fastest greyhounds which placed Second in a Semi-Final. 10. The Event Grand Final There will be one (1) Grand Final held at Wentworth Park on 20 October 2018. 11. Cancellation If any scheduled race meeting forming part of the Event is cancelled or abandoned, GRNSW reserves the right to re-schedule that race meeting to take place on another date in its sole discretion.

The Event Prizemoney 12. The total prizemoney for the Event will be $1,200,000, to be distributed to the owners of greyhounds placing in the Grand Final as follows: First: $1,000,000 Second: $100,000 Third: $45,000 (d) Fourth: $15,000 (e) Fifth to eighth: $10,000 each 13. No other prizemoney will be distributed in relation to the Event. Race meetings related to the Event 14. In addition to the Event, GRNSW will also be conducting the following race meetings (Associated Events): 15. Masters Meteor 520m (d) (e) (f) Greyhounds eligible to compete in the Masters Meteor event will be the best 32 Masters greyhounds nominated. The Masters Meteor event will comprise four (4) heats and one (1) Final. Greyhounds which place First and Second in each of the heats will qualify automatically for the Final. The two fastest greyhounds of those which place Third in each heat will be the Reserves for the Final. If the greyhound placing First and/or Second becomes ineligible for the Final, then the greyhound which places as the Third will qualify for the Final (and so on as necessary). The Masters Meteor heats are scheduled to take place at Wentworth Park on Wednesday 10 October 2018. The Masters Meteor final is scheduled to take place at Wentworth Park on Saturday 20 October 2018. For greyhounds to be eligible they must be domiciled in NSW from 31 July 2018. For greyhounds to be eligible, greyhounds must have a minimum of 40 race starts at the close of nominations.

(g) The total prizemoney for the Masters Meteor will be $132,500, to be distributed to the owners of greyhounds placing in that event as follows. (i) First: $100,000 (ii) Second: $20,000 (iii) Third: $10,000 (iv) Unplaced: $500 each 16. Young Star 520m (27 months of age) Greyhounds eligible to compete in the Young Star event will be the best 32 greyhounds nominated. Greyhounds must have been whelped on or after 1 July 2016. Greyhounds must also have a maximum of six (6) wins and no more than 30 starts at the time of nomination. Greyhounds must have been bred in NSW. (d) (e) (f) (g) Maiden greyhounds are ineligible to compete. The Young Star event will comprise four (4) heats and one (1) Final. Greyhounds which place First and Second in each of the heats will qualify automatically for the Final. The two fastest greyhounds of those which place Third in each heat will be the Reserves for the Final. If the greyhound placing First and/or Second becomes ineligible for the Final, then the greyhound which places as the Third will qualify for the Final (and so on as necessary). The Young Star heats are scheduled to take place Wentworth Park on Wednesday 10 October 2018. The Young Star final is scheduled to take place at Wentworth Park on Saturday 20 October 2018. The total prizemoney for the Young Star will be $35,000 to be distributed to the owners of greyhounds placing in that event as follows: (i) First: $25,000 (ii) Second: $5,000 (iii) Third: $2,500 (iv) Unplaced: $500 each

17. Regional Reward 520m Greyhounds eligible to compete in the Regional Reward event will be the best eight (8) greyhounds which competed in a Qualifying Final (Regional or City) which failed to qualify for the Grand Final, and were trained by a person whose registered kennel is located in regional NSW as at 1 August 2018 (that is, outside the Sydney Metropolitan area and outside the following state electoral boundaries. Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Wollondilly, Gosford, Terrigal, The Entrance, Wyong, Swansea, Lake Macquarie, Charlestown, Newcastle, Wallsend, Keira, Wollongong and Shellharbour). The Regional Reward is scheduled to take place at Wentworth Park on Saturday 20 October 2018. The total prizemoney for the Regional Reward will be $16,000 to be distributed to the owners of greyhounds placing in that event as follows: (i) First: $10,000 (ii) Second: $2,000 (iii) Third: $1,500 Rehoming (iv) Unplaced: $500 each 18. Upon retirement from racing, all greyhounds competing in the Event and/or any Associated Event must be either kept by the owner as a companion animal or rehomed with: (d) (e) in the case of greyhounds registered in NSW, either the GAP program or a private rehoming provider approved by GRNSW; or in the case of greyhounds registered by the relevant controlling body in any state or territory other than NSW, either the local equivalent of the GAP program, or a private rehoming provider approved by the relevant controlling body. 19. Upon retirement from racing, owners must immediately notify GRNSW by providing to it a copy of the Notification of Retirement (or equivalent) form. 20. All participants in the Event and/or any Associated Event acknowledge and agree that any prizemoney must be immediately repaid to GRNSW if that greyhound is not either kept by the owner as a companion animal or rehomed upon retirement as required by clause 18 above. The amount of any repayment, and from whom it may be recovered (being any person who was awarded the prizemoney), shall be determined by GRNSW in its discretion. The amount of any repayment under this clause may be recovered by GRNSW as a debt in a court of competent jurisdiction.

General 21. GRNSW has sole discretion to vary the amount of any prizemoney to be paid in respect of any greyhound placing in either the Event and/or any Associated Event and does not accept any responsibility for any variation in the amount of prizemoney. 22. GRNSW is not liable for any losses (including loss of opportunity), costs or damage (including direct, indirect or consequential damage) or personal injury suffered or incurred in relation to the Event and/or any Associated Event (including in relation to participation in the Event and/or any Associated Event), which cannot be excluded by law. 23. GRNSW reserves the right to, at any time, disqualify any greyhound in respect of which GRNSW has reason to believe that the greyhound or its owner or trainer has not complied with these Terms and Conditions of Entry and/or the GWIC Greyhound Racing Rules. 24. Any prizemoney must be immediately repaid to GRNSW if the owner or trainer of that greyhound is found guilty of a contravention of the GWIC Greyhound Racing Rules at any time during or following the Event and/or any Associated Event (whether the conduct the subject of the contravention took place before or after the Event and/or any Associated Event). The amount of any repayment, and from whom it may be recovered (being any person who was awarded the prizemoney), shall be determined by GRNSW in its discretion. The amount of any repayment under this clause may be recovered by GRNSW as a debt in a court of competent jurisdiction. 25. GRNSW reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Event and/or any Associated Event without notice. 26. The laws of New South Wales apply to these Terms and Conditions of Entry and the Event and/or any Associated Event to the exclusion of any other law. Nominator(s) submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
