Optimist Rob Brewer Sam McKay Sam comes to us from New Zealand with a wealth of experience, including top 3 placings at the NZ Nationals in each of the Optimist, P Class, 420 and Starling classes. He was a member of the Nations Cup winning NZ team at the 2007 Optimist Worlds and placed in the top 20 in the 2008 Optimist Worlds. Sam is also an accomplished Match Racer, winning the NZ Youth Match Racing Nationals in 2014. Sam has been coaching since 2009. As Head Coach at Worser Bay Boating Club, Sam designed the program that saw the club achieve its best ever NZ Nationals result in 2015, including the National Champion. He was also invited by a club near Boston (USA) to spend last northern summer to run their race squad program. Sam spent this summer in Australia and was part of the VIODA coaching team for World Cup Melbourne and the Nationals. Minnow Paul Rogers Started coaching at Blairgowrie Yacht Club in 2005. Head Coach in the Victorian Minnow Association 2012 - present. Sailing Background - First boat was an old Minnow, sailed minnows for 4 years before moving onto Lasers. Followed the YV pathway program and then moved into 14ft Skiffs for a number of years. Highlights / Achievements - Successfully coaching 5 sailors into the top 10 at the Minnow Nationals over the past 4 Nationals. I am also proud to see the Minnow class holding strong as a sailing community filled with wonderful sailors and supportive parents.

Open Bic Kystral Weir Laser Radial World Champion, 2004 Beijing Olympian, 2008 Australian Female Sailor of the Year, 2004 Winner of Multiple National and International Sailing Events 2003 Represent Australia at the Youth Worlds London Olympian, 2012 For the past twelve months Kystral has been running a number of coaching programs for juniors transition to a Laser 4.7 and supporting junior sailors as Head Coach for the Open Bic, when not coaching Krystal works full time as a Physio. Int Cadet Coach Tony Bull Experience- 45 years of sailing experience on all forms of vessels from Dinghies to Ocean racers, grew up in family boatbuilding business on Gippsland and worked as sailmaker for 38 years. 2013 - current Australian head coach One (1) world championship as coach Nominated as Coach of the year at 2014 Yachting Australia Awards Three (3) years coaching International Cadet class- 2 Australian titles and two (2) state titles Nine (9) Sydney Hobarts Fifteen (15) plus + National and state titles as a skipper/ crew Australian representative twice as sailor Participated in nearly every race on Australian Eastern Seaboard (most multiple times) Best result in 2014 with all seven (7) in the top 22.

Laser Sarah Ogilvie VLA/AUS coach laser radial worlds - Japan; Minnow, Sabot and Laser coaching under: 'Sarah the Sailor' junior, youth and school coaching; club coaching at SSCBC, Mount Martha, Blairgowrie and Mornington; Sarah Blanck Perpetual Trophy all female coaching regatta. Sailing background; Found sailing through neighbourhood friends and started as a junior at Blairgowrie age 10 enjoying summer and weekend sailing; progressing to the Sabre around the age of 15. Following the Sabre Sarah moved into the Laser age 17. She enjoyed competing in National and International competition. At the age of 21, Sarah moved into the Europe Dinghy to qualify for Olympic Games representation; qualifying for the 2004 Olympic Games. After these games a brief break and she then moved back into the Laser Radial and qualified to compete in the 2008 Olympic Games. Since 'retirement' I have enjoyed sailing locally on Port Phillip Bay in my laser which she first sailed as a 17yr old. She is now about to learn how to windsurf. highlights & Achievements. Olympic Games both Athens and Beijing, 4th place. Winning 3 World Championships (1 x youth and 2 x Open), multiple ISAF grade 1 podium finishes (now World Cup event), Multiple National Championship titles. Australian Junior Athlete of the Year and Australian Sailor of the Year, multiple Vic Sailor of the Year Awards. Biggest achievement - 2 beautiful girls! Mark Toner-Joyce Mark has trained, raced and collaborated with some of the greatest Laser sailors in history. He knows how to race and how to win. Sailing the Laser, Mark was a member of the Victorian Institute of Sport and trained with the Australian Laser Squad 1996-1999. During his career in the Laser, Mark won 21 Laser Cubes at Victorian, Australian and International championships. He undertook two Olympic selection campaigns with European and other international tours, he qualified for and competed in six open world Laser championships during the 90 s. As a training partner, mentor and coach, Mark has made a formidable impact on hundreds and hundreds of Australian sailors, including some of Victoria s most elite; Sarah Blanck and Krystal Weir: World Champions & Olympians.

Catamaran Gordon Hyde 29er Gordon is a qualified Instructor and Coach that has been involved with catamaran sailing since his early teens. A former National and State Champion in a number of OTB and Catamaran Classes plus an experienced Skipper and Tactician on several Sydney to Hobart yachts. He has a keen interest in developing youth sailing and promoting the excitement of fast catamaran sailing. He has for many years conducted sailing clinics on improving overall boat handling skills. Larry Cargill New South Wales Sailing Performance Coach Larry Cargill will be the 29er for this coaching clinic.
