Guests: Rick and Nan Anderson, Lyle and Stacy Toresdahl, Valerie and Michael. November's minutes were reviewed and approved by e club. Felicia motioned to approve and Jane seconded. Lynne gave e treasurer's report. Year end balance was $4,657.98. Receivables were $50.00, which was e club's cash-on-hand deposited. The oer $50.00 at accounts for e clubs cash-on-hand went to Valerie because e club's by-laws state at e secretary should maintain $50.00 in petty cash for club expenses, supplies, etc. This made e ending bank balance for January $4,607.98. It was noted at Valerie also has a copy of e audit approval for 2017. A motion was made by Pam to accept e Treasurer's report, Felicia seconded. Old Business Banquet: A new place is needed since e Golden Dragon has shut down; some ideas were e Jade Garden on e Boulevard, Idaho Pizza, Cold Mountain Creek in Emmett, Mr. Vee's on Ten, Canton Cafe in Caldwell. Oer an at everybody likes e system in which it runs and e awards (and pony names)! Review of e Points System: Possible changes of e point value system have been brought up, so a committee was made which now includes: Lois, Felicia, Heaer, Maria, and Valerie. Since clinics and shows are getting dates set up it was said at all changes need to be done by next meeting. Birt Arena dates for shows/clinics: The club has had e dates of June 9, September 15 and October 20 saved at Al Birt arena until decisions were made to keep all of em or not and what for. It was discussed and Felicia made a motion to move e show to June 9 and have a driving clinic/driving playday on September 15. It was seconded by Jamey and en amended by Donna saying we would also keep our October 20 date for an in-hand only playday. A show committee was made up, consisting of : Maria Redinger, Donna Bernardelli, Jamey Robbins, and Felicia Humpherys. Playday committees consist of: Heaer Jaillett, Felicia Humpherys, Jamey Robbins, Lynne Wing, Kaerine and Crystal Siegmann. New Arena Venues: Lyle and Stacy Toresdahl came to e meeting and said at eir arena, on Sand Hollow Rd, is available if it was someing at would fit our needs. It's 60x120 feet, not totally enclosed but wi mesh on e East and West ends, doesn't have a lot of parking, but could probably fit us comfortably. 4-H'ers have steers ere in e Spring, but availability is pretty much open. There are no arena lights and a portable baroom would be someing to ink about for possible events. Prices may vary as e owners are new to is game. Nampa Sanctioned Show awards: The decision to choose what e awards for our club's sponorships would be was tabled at e last meeting and is time decided at for bo e High Point You B Mini and AMHA Amateur Level One would be a harness bag. Jane made a motion to accept and Pam seconded.

Felicia had a receipt for an ink catridge at she had to buy for printing last year's newsletters and wanted to be reimbursed e $22.xx. Pam made a motion to accept and Heaer seconded. Riata Riders sent a ank you note to our club for helping em support eir IQHA Horse bowl team and Hippology team. The card will be in e secretary's box. It was mentioned at e Mountain West club wants to know about our clinic dates so at ey can attend! New Business: Warm-Up shows: Des Arab has eir first one on February 10 at e High Desert Station, ISHSA is February 16 at Birt's, and e WHIPS has eir Desensitizing clinic on February 24 at Birt's. (Same day as e ISHSA Year End Awards, but will be done by 4pm.) Hope to see you ere! Club clinics: It was decided to have a driving clinic earlier in e day on September 16 before e driving playday began. Oer ideas were to also have a erapy horse clinic, one about showmanship, harnessing, points sheets, etc. Pam also has some Lana Grieve Star Point Horsemanship DVD's at she is willing to lend out. There are also YouTube videos and ese videos/discs cover A LOT!!! Pam has calendars! They are $12.50, so let her know if you want one! Donna spoke on behalf of e WHIPS club to let us know at ey are willing to work wi e mini group on flexibility of rules, etc. (To a certain safety standard.)for clinics and shows because ey want more of our attendance! A Dressage driving clinic could possibly be on March 24 and a show on e 25, but Donna will get an affirmative on at. Maria mentioned she had e receipt for e trophies for e End of e year Awards and it was a total of: $104.27. Pam motioned for e club to pay her back and Felicia seconded. Kaerine brought up e idea of having a raffle at continues for more an one show until we pick a show to give it away at and she would donate it. (Someing to ink about.) For e Good of e Club: Door prize was won by Rick Anderson and he plans to bring e next one to e next meeting. Next meeting will be February 15 at e Sunrise Cafe in Middleton, ID at 6:30 pm. where we will talk about new possible locations for meetings. Meeting adjourned at 7:38 p.m. Respectfully submitted by Valerie Marshall, Secretary Thanks to Robin Willeman's hosting, several Miniature Horse owners gaered at her home to view some of e DVDs in Lana Grieve's Starpoint Showmanship Series, to eat a scrumptious salad, and to socialize. Several viewers were impressed enough at one enusiast contacted Lana during e viewing to bring a clinic to e Boise area in May. What a fine opportunity for us and all Miniature Horse owners and handlers near here! Watch for details soon! Would you like to see new photos on e website pages? Send a photo to Pam for at purpose. Informal photos of you and your Miniature Horses are welcome.
