Information of these members is recorded in the office. 2. Vice President No report 3. Secretary Correspondence No correspondence this past month 4. Executive Committee 5. Membership Website update continues. Membership continues to work on the website update with our pro and members. Added since last report is a single PDF with membership and application insert. Todd s friend will update the video of the course and Dean Herrick will provide photographs. Membership continues to work with the committee and staff to identify membership data elements that can be included on the website. The Committee is cognizant that member privacy must be addressed and observed. One Example, each member would need to approve having his/her email posted. Other data elements such as cell number, M/F and DOB. A separate email for couples is needed for Golf Genius. Membership Maximum/Cap a. It appears that in the past a Board policy was implemented to limit memberships to 375. At that time, memberships were over 400 and it was difficult to make tee times. A waiting list and initiation fee were 2
used. At that time, a social member was at the top of the waiting list if he or she were to join as a full member. b. No final decision was made going forward and the issue remains open. Youth Golfers The Committee supports and recommends youth golfing activities. Volunteers are needed to assist and because of limited space, number of participants is limited. Other suggestions include Family Day with children under 18 playing free. A parent (s) coordinator (volunteer) is needed to work with the golf shop. Focus is to introduce children to golf. 6. Treasurer Revenue $548,900 has been invoiced for member dues. With all the work that has been accomplished on the Club files, the treasurer is confident that the POS will enable us to have accurate financial statements and reports. Guest Passes - The Guest Pass Program has evolved over the years and continues to evolve. Rick provided the history of the program and some recommendations for implementation next year. Further discussion to take place and the issue remains open. Corporate Memberships entering the 2018 season, there is a good indication that corporate memberships should be the same as 2017. The Board reached consensus that the Club should not grant exceptions for delayed payment of annual dues. In the past we have allowed delayed payments for a few members and it has been abused. The Office Manager has been researching use of social media for marketing membership. Although the BOD supports using social media, the president suggested we develop a plan before moving forward. 7. Greens Blue Tees on holes 1 and 3 will be re-sodded this spring using sod from the course sod farm. Steve Solsky will begin prep work for the blue tee on #7 by cutting trees and brush along the ride side of the tee area. As soon as we have funds in the budget Steve will complete 3
construction of the tee. Rough Mower Steve Solsky has not yet found a used rough mower. Rick has done paperwork with BSPA National Bank and the Club is in the process of procuring the loan. Tree removal - Money from the sale of logs will be used toward the rough mower In response to discussion from previous BOD meeting, a salter for the truck will cost $2500. Driving Range Trees along the right side of the range have been cut back closer to our property line. The stumps have not yet been removed. The poles down the left side of the range must be moved to the left closer to the tree line. The new net will then be hung. As requested by the membership, the fairway in front of the tees on #3 and 18 will be cut back closer to the tee and will be ready for this season. 8. Restaurant and Infrastructure Restaurant Chair and committee members are working with Dave Foster on the menu for 2018. Next Committee meeting scheduled in March. Arrangements have been made to install the new cooler (beginning of March). House 9. Golf Chair Roger Laime is coordinating the following activities: Railing for handicap ramp to the deck has two sections that need to be replaced.
