Primary School Hockey Festival Get In2Hockey The In2Hockey 2017 Primary Festival took place on the 9 th November on our Astroturf. There were 16 teams from 8 schools taking part in a sport that introduces Primary school children to the game of Hockey. The two top teams will represent the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead at the Berkshire Winter Games at Bisham Abbey. Our Olympic Council members from Y9 and Y10 (above) took part in In2Hockey training (from a former England Hockey player), which developed their leadership skills and understanding of the game. They took on a variety of roles from officiating, leading and scoring. They were exemplary students, and many Primary school teachers and Headteachers complimented them on their skills. The games were fiercely fought and it led to a very tight final between Cookham Rise A and Courthouse A. After full time the score was still 0-0 so the winning team had to be decided by a Golden Goal in extra time. Courthouse A were the first team to score and therefore were the winners! There was a play-off for third and fourth place and these were St Marys B team and St Edmund Campion B respectively. A fantastic morning was had by all, well done to everyone involved.
