5 HOW TO BE A GOOD COACH 1. Be positive at all times. Provide feedback, encourage and coach enthusiastically. Good, clear, positive communication is the key to success! 2. Establish an individual rapport with the players. Get to know their names and personalities as quickly as you can. Show interest in ALL players. 3. Teach the game through simple and brief explanations and demonstrations. Avoid interrupting the drill unless it is a point that cannot be ignored. Teach on the run. 4. Help the players enjoy their task-be competitive but also be warm, encouraging, approachable and do not be afraid to introduce fun to your trainings and games. 5. Be on time, every time. Always be neat and tidy. Dress professionally and coach professionally. Be prepared. You are setting the example for the players. Continued in future Sharks bites.
