VINCENNES 27th January 2019 Trainer of the day : Philippe Allaire (Race 4-13, R5-16, R7-4, R8 4 & 7) Driver of the day : Alexandre Abrivard (Race 2-15, R4-3, R5-1, R6-5, R9-5) Horse of the day : Face Time Bourbon (R3-7) Dark Horse : Ursa Caf (Race 6-1) Race 1 1. ETINCELLE DE ROCHA - Unremarkable and has no realistic chance 2. EOLE DU PHENIX - Decent type that keeps getting better. Won a Class D in fine fashion mid-month when barefoot for first time. With shoes off again looks good enough to score. 3. ERMES DE CORDAY - Has failed to finish closer than 4th since returning to competition in the autumn. Untested at this level and unlikely to influence the outcome 4. ELIXIR D'ANAMA - Just two wins in 33 starts under harness. Makes ridden debut with Raffin on board but still no more than a minor place prospect 5. EKEREN - Third on lone start over 2850m on the main track. Won Gr2 Prix Emile Riotteau superbly last month and in similar form can repeat 6. EVANGELINA BLUE - Close runner-up to (5) EKEREN in Emile Riotteau before heading (7) EXOTICA DE RETZ in a Gr3 earlier this month. Barefoot again and looks a serious proposition 7. EXOTICA DE RETZ - Quality filly that won Gr2 early December before missing out by little to (6) EVANGELINA BLUE three weeks ago. Arguably better over shorter but a player nonetheless 8. EASY DES RACQUES - Respectable third to (5) EKEREN on ridden debut before disappointing in the Leon Tacquet next time and unlikely to shake things up. Summary: Although occasionally undisciplined (5) EKEREN has nevertheless taken superbly to his new vocation. He won the Gr2 Prix Emile Riotteau with authority late December and going barefoot again can repeat. (6) EVANGELINA BLUE put on an excellent show to finish a close second that day before winning the Gr3 Prix Leon Tacquet a fortnight later and can also challenge for the win. Gr2 winner (7) EXOTICA DE RETZ was just headed by the latter earlier in the month and should again have a good hand to play but may first have to defer to groupdebutant (2) EOLE DU PHENIX who has never looked better. (5) EKEREN, (6) EVANGELINA BLUE, (2) EOLE DU PHENIX, (7) EXOTICA DE RETZ Vincennes Page 1 Sunday, 27Jan19

Race 2 1. BROADWELL - Decent type with form at this level but tends to prefer a flatter surface and can be passed over 2. TRANSCENDENCE - Blows hot and cold but reassured with a close second over longer here recently and is well placed to get in on the action 3. EVER PRIDE - Capable on a good day but has finished no closer than fourth in as many starts this term and chances limited 4. FLYING FORTUNA - Moderate Swedish trotter that has failed to make any impact since coming to France and even with the plum draw is still not an obvious choice 5. ELNINO MONTAVAL - Met no resistance two weeks ago over 2175m. Sanctioned next time but is clearly in form and can play an important role 6. EL VILLAGIO - Regularly undisciplined but is very effective over these shorter trips and with application should not be far off the mark 7. EPIC JULRY - Has done nothing but improve of late. Beaten only by a very good horse last time and must be taken seriously 8. ELISEO - Starts wide on the front line but has been impressive of late. Dynamic course and distance winner last time and a repeat is not out of the question 9. ETHIEN DU VIVIER - In decent form since the autumn but out of the picture in last two and the draw does not help his cause 10. PORTLAND - Quality trotter but unseen for ten months. Winner of two of three at the venue and with shoes off can get in on the action 11. CLASSIC CONNECTION - Hardy sort that goes over any trip. Not the easiest to handle but on good behavior can get a look in 12. VICTOR FERM - Never far off the mark when he can stay in stride. Good third to (16) ALCOY last time and from the same draw will be hard to ignore 13. VARIETA'LUIS - Capable but delicate sort that pleased here this day last year. Is clearly in form and going barefoot could be key to his redemption 14. EUGENITO DU NOYER - Mixes the good with the less good and not disgraced behind (8) ELISEO last time but still has more to find 15. EXCELLENT - Lived up to his name when second to (8) ELISEO here late last month and with shoes off again should figure prominently 16. ALCOY - Impressive in two of three over the distance here since returning to France. Has a tough draw but in similar form can impose 17. VIENVIA FONT - Got back in the game with a respectable San Siro victory last time but has no particular love for Vincennes and chances limited 18. SPICKLEBACK FACE - Not without merit but has been struggling of late and the draw only compounds matters. Summary: Second in a Gr3 over course and distance mid-december (16) ALCOY went on to win with ease under similar conditions next time and even though poorly drawn can still double his money. (8) ELISEO has been back at the top of his game this winter and after winning a Class B in style here late December returns fresh and is also capable of repeating. (15) EXCELLENT trotted a very good second to him that day and with shoes back off will also have his chances. Winner over 2175m on his first start barefoot (5) ELNINO MONTAVAL lost his action next time but nonetheless showed his form and from the 5-spot will be no pushover. (6) EL VILLAGIO is often a handful but is barefoot for the first time over his preferred distance and must be afforded respect. (16) ALCOY, (8) ELISEO, (15) EXCELLENT, (5) ELNINO MONTAVAL, (6) EL VILLAGIO Vincennes Page 2 Sunday, 27Jan19

Race 3 1. ZLATAN - Italian Derby winner last autumn. Prepped successfully at San Siro earlier in the month and can make a big impact 2. FRIC DU CHENE - Capable on a good day but disappointing of late. Has a decent draw though and should not be overlooked 3. FAKIR DU LORAULT - Fine colt that put in an excellent finish behind (12) FALCAO DE LAURMA three weeks ago. Is barefoot again and from the 3-spot can play an important role 4. ZE'MARIA - Runner-up to (1) ZLATAN in Italian Derby and encouraged on recent re-entry. Ideally placed behind the car and with front shoes off for first time looks a player 5. FLY WITH US - Classy filly but can prove undisciplined. Failed to fire in the race of reference but should not be too hastily judged. One to note 6. FOLELLI - Reliability not her strong suit but is a Gr1 winner. Out of the picture in the Criterium and needs to raise her game 7. FACE TIME BOURBON - Stamped his name as generation's leader with Criterium des 3 Ans success last month. Narrowly beaten next time but has hind shoes off and should set the record straight 8. FEND LA BISE - Seldom wins but regularly gives everything she has. Encouraged in the race of reference and will have her supporters 9. FERRETERIA - Quality filly that has shown more in the other code in recent months but has decent harness credentials and despite the draw could pick up some stake money 10. ZIGOLO DE BUTY - Not the most dependable but is a decent colt. Is first time barefoot and considerable improvement expected 11. FLO WOOD - Gives a good account for the most part. Quickly sanctioned over course and distance last weekend and must assure his initial strides 12. FALCAO DE LAURMA - Delicate but has bags of ability. Beat (7) FACE TIME BOURBON three weeks ago but is on the second line here and may have to play second fiddle 13. HOLY WATER - Consistent Swedish colt that finished third to (3) FAKIR DU LORAULT over longer late December. Not an easy draw but is barefoot and can get a look in 14. FIFTY KALOUMA - Not without merit but sanctioned in last four and needs to get his house in order 15. ZILATH - Derby Italiano fifth and recently second to (1) ZLATAN in Milan but has yet to make his mark here and can be passed over 16. FANINA DES RACQUES - Useful but untested under these conditions. Gets on well with Nivard but the draw does nothing to help her cause. Summary: After his Criterium des 3 ans romp mid-december (7) FACE TIME BOURBON tasted defeat for the first time when beaten by (12) FALCAO DE LAURMA in a Gr2 here three weeks ago but has hind shoes off on this occasion and should more than make amends. (1) ZLATAN can prove a handful at the start but is the latest Italian Derby winner and can play an important role if he can get off on the right foot. Second in the Derby and better placed on the front line than his compatriot (4) ZE'MARIA is unshod in front for the first time and should have a good hand to play. (3) FAKIR DU LORAULT finished a place behind the selection earlier in the month and over this distance will have his chances. (7) FACE TIME BOURBON, (12) FALCAO DE LAURMA, (1) ZLATAN, (4) ZE'MARIA, (3) FAKIR DU LORAULT Vincennes Page 3 Sunday, 27Jan19

Race 4 1. QAHAR Q.C. - Makes just second ridden start following a shocking run under harness and has no realistic chance 2. CORAIL D'AURE - Respectable sort with good references but at this level will have his work cut out 3. JULIO DE LUXE - Fine Swedish veteran that has never disappointed under these conditions. Imposed in style here last month and steps up in class with justified ambition 4. BEAU DE GRIMOULT - Highly impressive since the autumn when barefoot. Won a Gr3 over 2700m late December and will have his chances 5. BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY - Not easy to knock when applied but sanctioned in four of last five and others easier to trust 6. CLEGS DES CHAMPS - Superb type that has won five of last six including a Gr2 over course and distance. Missed out by little to (8) MINDYOURVALUE W.F. last time but is not incapable of turning the tables 7. SHADOW GAR - Has demonstrated excellent aptitude for the specialty and is proven here. In form but nevertheless faces a stiff test 8. MINDYOURVALUE W.F. - Exceptional trotter that has been impossible to fault of late. Kept (6) CLEGS DES CHAMPS at bay in the Gr3 Prix Sans dire Oui last month and can repeat 9. VOLCAN DE BELLANDE - Surprise third behind (4) BEAU DE GRIMOULT here a month ago before giving a decent account in a Gr3 a fortnight back but still needs to find more 10. ACCORD MARJACQ - Faithful servant that prepped modestly on the short course following a decent Gr3 effort late December and no more than a minor place chance 11. VRAI VOYOU - Remarkably consistent campaigner with excellent references over 2850m. Unseen since being trounced by (6) CLEGS DES CHAMPS late November and the handicap does not help matters 12. VELOCE DU BANNEY - Impressed more than once here last winter but has since lost his way and will have few takers 13. ARLINGTON DREAM - Winner of this race in 2018 and showed his form when unlucky last time. Front shoes off again and even though on the second line is still a serious player. Summary: A veritable steamroller in both codes since coming to France (8) MINDYOURVALUE W.F. held off the exceptional (6) CLEGS DES CHAMPS in the Gr3 Prix Sans dire Oui over course and distance last month before confirming in style under harness three weeks ago and looks just to have edge once more. The fabulous but temperamental (13) ARLINGTON DREAM had a Gr2 at his mercy last time but lost his action down the straight and even though on the second line here is still competitive. Lightly raced this term (3) JULIO DE LUXE steps up in class following last month's convincing success under these conditions and can challenge for a spot on the podium. (8) MINDYOURVALUE WF, (6) CLEGS DES CHAMPS, (13) ARLINGTON DREAM, (3) JULIO DE LUXE Vincennes Page 4 Sunday, 27Jan19

Race 5 Gr1 Grand Prix d Amerique 1. LOOKING SUPERB - Lived up to his name when winning the Prix Tenor de Baune. Not as classy as his two stablemates but can still pick up some stake money 2. BAHIA QUESNOT - Owes her place in this line-up to a fine Prix de Belgique second. Has just once disappointed when barefoot but still has a mountain to climb 3. ERIDAN - Very effective under these conditions. Youngest horse in the field but by no means the least talented and can get in on the action 4. DAVIDSON DU PONT - High-class trotter that was very impressive in first three B races. Shoes off this time and finishing in the thick of things is highly likely 5. DELIA DU POMMEREUX - Probably the best mare of her generation. Superb in first two B races and has beaten (4) DAVIDSON DU PONT but unlikely to spring any massive surprises 6. CHARLY DU NOYER - A total write-off for past 13 months and even though barefoot has no realistic chance 7. URLO DEI VENTI - Classy Italian type that has never been tested over 2700m here. Has a better chance in the Prix de France in a fortnight's time and not a priority 8. UZA JOSSELYN - Not always the most dependable and better over shorter. Has the Prix de France over 2100m as her main objective and can be ruled out 9. CARAT WILLIAMS - Has acquitted himself particularly well all winter and got into the race by the skin of his teeth. Can pick up a cheque if he gets off on the right foot 10. VALKO JENILAT - Capable on a good day but age beginning to show. Unlucky in the Prix de Belgique but will nonetheless have little to offer this time 11. TRADERS - Tough individual that finished a valiant second in Prix de Cornulier last week but not as effective under harness and chances limited 12. BELINA JOSSELYN - Possibly the classiest mare in the country. Superb in the Prix de Belgique and has never looked better. Can win this at the third time of asking 13. LIONEL - Still useful which he showed in New York during the autumn but his owner in the sulky this time and unlikely to shake things up 14. BILLIE DE MONTFORT - Not as sharp as she was this time last winter and while not without merit still faces a difficult task 15. READLY EXPRESS - Winner twelve months ago. Looked solid behind (18) BOLD EAGLE in Prix de Bourgogne before pleasing shod next time and a second holy grail is well within his grasp 16. BIRD PARKER - Highly consistent and presently at the top of his game. No closer than sixth in three attempts at this race but could show marginal improvement 17. PROPULSION - Third twelve months ago with a superb run. Had a different preparation this time but is believed to be in flying form and can repeat 18. BOLD EAGLE - Twice a Prix d'amerique winner. Thwarted by (15) READLY EXPRESS last year but beat him in Prix de Bourgogne earlier in the month and will again be competitive. Summary: The first four home in last year's renewal of the race again look the principal protagonists however the order can be expected to change. A tentative nod goes to (12) BELINA JOSSELYN who won the Prix de Belgique in dynamic fashion before the stewards took it away from her and a similar performance may just be good enough to win this. (18) BOLD EAGLE had the measure of last year's winner (15) READLY EXPRESS in the Prix de Bourgogne but it was the latter's first race for 2.5 months and the Swede should be able to turn the tables. Unseen in France since trotting third to the selection in the Prix de France last February (17) PROPULSION is reportedly in excellent shape and can again make the frame. Three times a Gr1 winner (4) DAVIDSON DU PONT must be respected on his first start in the big event. (12) BELINA JOSSELYN, (15) READLY EXPRESS, (18) BOLD EAGLE, (17) PROPULSION, (4) DAVIDSON DU PONT, (16) BIRD PARKER, (3) ERIDAN, (1) LOOKING SUPERB Vincennes Page 5 Sunday, 27Jan19

Race 6 1. URSA CAF - Has shown marked improvement since starting to race barefoot. Very hard to fault over this trip and with Goop in charge can prove something of a spoiler 2. TESSY D'ETE - Not the most reliable but impressive over longer here late December. Has a good spot in front and could possibly double her money 3. CLASS DE LORIOL - On a good run of late and latterly fourth to (2) TESSY D'ETE. Returns to her preferred distance and from the 3-spot looks a serious proposition 4. BONNE COPINE - Pleased during the autumn but below-par in last two. Gets on well with Bazire though and given the draw should not be ignored 5. TITTY JEPSON - Classy mare that has been carefully prepared for this race. Has nothing to prove under these conditions and can have her way 6. CHICA DE JOUDES - In excellent shape this winter and latterly a Class B winner over longer. This trip may be just too short but should still acquit herself honorably 7. BEAUTE DE BAILLY - Very disappointing since last spring and can expect to have few friends 8. BILOOKA DU BOSCAIL - Regularly in the thick of things over recent months. Class C course and distance winner two weeks ago but no more than a minor place chance this time 9. UNIQUE JUNI - Won a Gr3 smartly over course and distance earlier in the meeting. Respectable in a Gr2 next time and barring the draw has ideal conditions here and looks competitive for a check 10. SONIA - Rarely far off the mark when she can stay in stride. Beat her personal best at Naples last time but the second-line start does nothing to aid her plight 11. UNCERTAIN AGE - Moderate type that has done nothing of note since coming to France and will have few takers 12. CREPE DE SATIN - Useful dual-discipline type but has no particular love for 2100m on the main track and can be ruled out 13. STELLA DI AZZURRA - Group class Italian mare that seldom disappoints at home but has never made the frame in five starts here and others preferred 14. BELLINE D'URZY - Delicate sort that reassured when third to (8) BILOOKA DU BOSCAIL here a fortnight ago but starts on the second line in better company this time and can be passed over 15. DEAR FRIEND - Fine Italian mare that trotted second over longer on Vincennes debut early January but has not been blessed with the draw and chances limited 16. BARAKA DE BELLOU - Completely out of the picture in last five starts and the draw only compounds matters 17. UNRESTRICTED - Quality Swedish raider making first foray south. Gr1 winner at four she has been drawn poorly but with some luck in running can figure prominently Summary: After a fine re-entry under these conditions mid-december (5) TITTY JEPSON freshened up at Mons next time and looks the horse to beat. (2) TESSY D'ETE imposed well over longer here late December on just her second start back and from the 2-spot looks dangerous once more. The versatile (3) CLASS DE LORIOL trotted fourth to her that day; she is well placed over a distance she adores this time and looks more competitive. (17) UNRESTRICTED has been handed a tough draw for her Vincennes debut but is currently in fine form and going first time barefoot can only work in her favor. (9) UNIQUE JUNI is not ideally positioned either but gave an excellent account under these conditions at the start of the meeting and must be respected. (5) TITTY JEPSON, (2) TESSY D'ETE, (3) CLASS DE LORIOL, (17) UNRESTRICTED, (9) UNIQUE JUNI Vincennes Page 6 Sunday, 27Jan19

Race 7 1. COPERNIC DE PLAY - Versatile type that comes here fresh. Has nothing to prove over the distance and from the inside line can put on a good show 2. DORGOS DE GUEZ - Tough individual with an enviable strike rate. Met no resistance in a similar event last month and is ideally positioned to repeat 3. SUPER FEZ - Never far from the action when barefoot. Went close in a Class A over longer here last time and from the 3-spot will have a lot to offer 4. DELLORO VEDAQUAIS - Good consistent type that was full of running when sanctioned here last time. Has never failed to fire over 2100m and with the plum spot in front can play an important role 5. CASH AND GO - Quality trotter that caught the eye here on just second start since last winter. Shoes off this time and looks a serious prospect 6. CHABLIS D'HERFRAIE - Better in the ridden discipline and here for reasons of conditioning. Disregard 7. DHIKTI VEDAQUAIS - Has never shown any aptitude for the harness code and is not about to shake things up 8. BALADIN HONGROIS - Unseen since 5th in a Mauquenchy Gr3 late November. Shoes on and not a priority 9. CICERO NOA - Pleased at the start of the meeting but well beaten in last three. Appreciates these conditions but the draw does him no favors 10. TINAMO JET - Capable on a good day but disappointing since the start of the meeting and can be ruled out 11. TARGET KRONOS - Moderate Swedish trotter that has never shown any liking for Vincennes and can be passed over 12. BEL AIR - Got back in the game over track and trip two weeks ago but in this company will have few takers 13. COBRA AR CARAC - Not as sharp as he was during the summer. Reaffirmed at Nantes last time but still not up to the task 14. GENERAAL BIANCO - Regular for the most part and confirmed under these conditions. Third to (16) COCKTAIL JULINO last time but chances more limited this time around 15. TESAURO - Has shown good improvement of late. Runner-up to (16) COCKTAIL JULINO over course and distance early January but again the draw does not help matters 16. COCKTAIL JULINO - Superb servant when barefoot. Won a Gr3 under these conditions earlier in the month but the draw limits his chances this time 17. DIEGO SAUTONNE - Mixes the good with the less good but reassured in a Class A here on new year's day. Stays shod this time though and no threat 18. SUPER NICE - Hardy sort with a fine record over 2100m here but has been handed a tough draw and will struggle to make his mark. Summary: An exceptional campaigner that won a Gr3 over course and distance in style mid- December (2) DORGOS DE GUEZ has had ample time to freshen up and from the 2-spot will take all the beating. Bold Eagle's full-brother (5) CASH AND GO caught the eye here three weeks ago and with shoes off this time looks the principal threat. (3) SUPER FEZ is another good proposition from the Bazire yard and going barefoot this time is very hard to ignore. (1) COPERNIC DE PLAY won his only start under these conditions and after a short breather should not be far off the mark. (4) DELLORO VEDAQUAIS has consistency on his side and returns to his distance of preference. (2) DORGOS DE GUEZ, (5) CASH AND GO, (3) SUPER FEZ, (1) COPERNIC DE PLAY, (4) DELLORO VEDAQUAIS Vincennes Page 7 Sunday, 27Jan19

Race 8 1. ALADIN EFFE - Good consistent Italian type with fine speed. Has the inside line here and should not be too far off the mark 2. AL CAPONE STECCA - In the frame in eight of ten to date. Well-drawn on the front line and will have his supporters 3. GUILLERMO SPORT - Won his first three before being trounced by (7) GOLDEN BRIDGE here last weekend but has a good spot in front and should not be discounted 4. GET HAPPY - Quality individual that has twice held his own at Gr2 level over past five weeks. Takes a dip in class and from the 4-spot will have a lot to offer 5. GEE - Hardy filly that seldom disappoints. Unlikely to get off the mark but is well placed to get into the action 6. GAIA OLMENHOF - Already a winner under these conditions and solid Gr2 fourth two weeks ago. Starts in front and can trot into the money 7. GOLDEN BRIDGE - Classy colt that has swept almost all before him to date. Flew up over 2200m here last weekend and looks the pick of the field 8. GOOD MORNING - Has shown considerably better aptitude for the inner course. First time in an autostart event but still a serious prospect 9. GUERRIER ROYAL - Is not without merit but regularly displays a lack of discipline. Has failed to fire at a superior level and breaking wide does not help his cause 10. ATLANTIDE - Handy transalpine raider that has raced just once past a mile. In very good company here and chances limited 11. IN YOUR DREAMS - Useful Italian filly that finished ahead of (5) GEE early December on Vincennes debut. Has not been seen out since but will still generate interest 12. ORKAN VON HAITHABU - Debuted modestly in a Gr3 here late November. Unseen since and the second-row draw does him no favors. Summary: Outstanding to date and twice a winner from three over the short course (7) GOLDEN BRIDGE looks another serious Philippe Allaire colt in the making. Unbeaten with Yoann Lebourgeois he can make his step up in class a winning one. Stablemate (4) GET HAPPY has shown he is no slouch either and drops back to a more reasonable level with an excellent spot behind the car. (8) GOOD MORNING starts wide but has talent in spades and returning to the inner track should see him more competitive. (5) GEE has yet to lose her maiden tag but is confirmed on the short course and could yet trot her way into the frame. (7) GOLDEN BRIDGE, (4) GET HAPPY, (8) GOOD MORNING, (5) GEE Vincennes Page 8 Sunday, 27Jan19

Race 9 1. FLOWER BALL - Moderate type that has previously imposed over course and distance but twice thrashed at this level and needs to find more 2. FLORE MERITE - Delicate but has ample ability. Close to (11) FINE COLLINE earlier in the month before being sanctioned next time but is unbeaten with Nivard and looks dangerous 3. FALDARA - Pleased during the summer but less effective since the break. Still had gas in the tank when sanctioned last time but others still preferred 4. FLEUR ROSEE - Returned to winning ways over shorter here mid-december. Unseen since but goes without hind shoes for the occasion and in similar form could get a look in 5. FACTICE MONTAVAL - In the thick of things for the most part. Surprisingly sanctioned last time but is first time barefoot and can more than make amends 6. ZUFFLE WISE AS - Useful Italian filly making first appearance in France but in very good company and chances slim 7. FERIA DIBAH - Justifiably well-regarded but can prove tricky. Reassured behind (10) FALLING IN LOVE recently and must be respected 8. FUN DESTINEE - Quality individual that is unbeaten on the short course. Imposed well under these conditions early January and can confirm 9. FORAYA DE CAHOT - In the frame in all but one to date - including a win over course and distance last month. Hind shoes off for the first time and could pleasantly surprise 10. FALLING IN LOVE - Went close over track and trip before giving a fine account on the main track when first time barefoot. Just front shoes off this time but not to be ignored 11. FINE COLLINE - Serious sort that comes here fresh following a fine effort on main track debut. Already a winner over the distance here and looks a serious proposition 12. FIPSIE DE GUEZ - Placed in a Gr2 last spring but completely off the boil this term and even with shoes off can be confidently disregarded 13. ZANIAH BI - Very disappointing since winning across town during the summer. Has just one race in her since the break and chances limited 14. FROSTIE LOVE - Just one success in 14 attempts and most recently missed out by little in a Gr3 over shorter. Is proven on the inner track and will have her supporters. Summary: Winner of four of the six races in which she was not the focus of the stewards' scrutiny (8) FUN DESTINEE showed a good turn of foot to win over course and distance three weeks ago when unshod behind for the first time. She races with the same configuration on this occasion and can double her money. Principal opposition can be expected to come from (11) FINE COLLINE who secured her only start under these conditions. (2) FLORE MERITE finished a length away from her on the main track earlier in the month and can again go close. Regular for the most part (5) FACTICE MONTAVAL lost her action last time but with application can redeem herself and get back in the game. Race 10 1. BOY DU PLESSIS - Has demonstrated good consistency of late. Stays shod this time but can still make his presence felt 2. VOLVIC SAINT JUVIN - Sprang something of a surprise when 4th at 120-1 at Nantes earlier in the month but a repeat unlikely 3. ALTONICO - Capable in this branch of the game but stays shod for the occasion and others preferred 4. BRIO DE TILLARD - Enjoying a productive streak in recent months. Brilliant too early last time but back to a more suitable trip and can play a leading role 5. BACCARAT DES PRES - Just two ridden races to his name but impressed on the long course last time and in similar form can pick up a cheque 6. ARGAN DU LOULAY - Has got back at the top of his game this winter. Nothing to prove under these conditions and at this level looks the one to beat 7. BALL TRAP - Won smartly last time under the saddle. Prepped under harness earlier in the month and if applied can go far 8. ANGE KARLANN - Second in this race last year. Drops back in class following a moderate attempt in better company and will be one to note 9. VIVARIO DU BELLAY - Returns to his code of preference after some poor showings under harness and with shoes on will have limited chances 10. ACTEUR DU HAMEL - Has obvious ability but has not been seen out for almost two months and unlikely to shake things up 11. ART D'ERABLE - Can prove a handful but when applied seldom fails to fire. Has good Vincennes credentials and will not be far off the mark 12. BAD JULRY - On a fine run since the autumn and is proven at Vincennes. Shoes on this time but must still be respected 13. BARON DU BOURG - Has decent ridden references but latest efforts insufficient to be considered a player 14. BARACK - Kicked the season off with a good course and distance third but out of the picture in next two and must reaffirm 15. ALAIN D'OCCAGNES - Has done nothing of note in either code for some time and can be ruled out 16. BUSTER DE BEAUFOUR - Has made little impact since coming second in a tough Class B here late November and must get his house in order. Summary: (6) ARGAN DU LOULAY has been on something of a roll this winter and most recently put in an excellent performance over the long course. He drops marginally in class and should have his way this time. (4) BRIO DE TILLARD is another quality and in-form trotter and can more than make amends for his over-zealous attempt earlier in the month. (7) BALL TRAP does not always do what is asked of him but with application will not be far from the action. Proven under these conditions (11) ART D'ERABLE is hard to knock when focused and must be taken seriously. Seldom seen under the saddle (5) BACCARAT DES PRES left a very good impression last time and must be afforded respect.
