USF tied the host school South Carolina, 1-1, on Friday night with Kennedy Selorm Adablah scoring his second goal of the year on an assist from Wesley Charpie to tie the game in the first half. On Sunday, the Bulls defeated the Kentucky Wildcats, 2-0, as freshmen midfielders Marcus Epps and Lindo Mfeka both scored their first career goals. Senior goalkeeper Brentton Muhammad posted his second shutout of the year after making five saves. Muhammad was named to the All-Tournament team along with defenders Ben Sweat and Ricardo Webb. Webb was also named Defensive MVP for the tournament. Adablah, Muhammad and Webb were all named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll as well for their performances last weekend. THE COACH George Kiefer USF Head Coach 12th Season George Kiefer, in his 12th season at the University of South Florida, has quickly become one of the nation s most successful and respected coaches. The 2005 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) South Region Coach of the Year looks to continue to build on the foundation laid over the past nine seasons in making USF one of the nation s top soccer programs. Kiefer has led USF to the NCAA Tournament in each of the past six seasons and in seven of the last eight. Under Kiefer, USF has won the Big East Red Division title twice and the Big East Tournament title once. The Bulls have also advanced to a pair of NCAA Elite Eight s in Kiefer s time as head coach.
