In cooperation with GeoCenter Møns Klint, XTERRA Nordic proudly presents Denmark s toughest, wildest and most beautiful off-road triathlon race. In one of the most spectacular places in Denmark in the middle of a unique piece of nature you will be challenged by the classic XTERRA distance. Additionally, you are able to find your number at sportstiming.dk. You are able to collect your race number at the race venue: Thursday 14:00-18:00 Friday 14:00-19:00 Saturday 08:00-16:00 Sunday 07:00-09:00 We recommend that you make it your first priority to collect your number in advance, preferably the day before the big race. You are allowed to get another person to collect your number. The following items are provided in the envelope containing your race number: Race number for the run Race number for MTB Sticker for your bike Sticker for your helmet Sticker for your bag at the transition zone Safety pins Strip ties for assembling your number to your MTB Time registration chip Velcro band for registration chip You MUST bring all of the above on Sunday the 3 rd for XTERRA Denmark. You will be provided with instructions on how to assemble race number and stickers. Side 3 af 10

On race day you will be provided with the following: XTERRA swim cap Large transition bag for the transition zone You MUST wear your timing chip AT ALL TIMES during the race (during the swim, bike and run) and it is your own responsibility to make sure that you are wearing it and that it is applied correctly. No chip no time! Your race number must be worn in front on your torso and your race number for MTB must be applied in the front of the bike on the front wheel. Race number is not worn during the swim. The transition zone is closed off and will be supervised during the event. To gain access to the transition zone you must show your race number. Notice that your bike must hang by the saddle on the bike rack the bike is not allowed to lean on the rack or stand by stabilizers. PARKING We recommend that all participants arrive early for bike check-in. It is therefore important that you follow the supervising officials instructions when you arrive by car. RACE VENUE At the race venue you will find an aid station for filling and refilling of water bottles and there will be toilets to use before the race. Additionally, there will be medical service, food catering, and display and sale of many products from our suppliers in the EXPO area. Side 4 af 10

Map of the race venue and the courses BIKE CHECK-IN Bike check-in in the transition zone must be before 09.00. You are only able to check in your bike on race day (not the day before). As a minimum you must check in your bike and your helmet. Both items will be checked for security reasons (breaking abilities and helmet bruises). You are not allowed to participate if your equipment does not pass the security check. Additionally, you must install your stickers on the bike and helmet before checking in your bike. And remember, you are only allowed to compete on MTB. That means, no cross or regular bikes! Luggage and equipment in the transition zone: In the transition zone you are only allowed to bring the clothes and equipment you are going to use during the race. All items must be kept in the transition bag you have been provided. LUGGAGE ZONE In the race venue there will be a luggage zone where you are able to store your luggage during the event. Remember in the transition zone you are only allowed to bring the clothes and equipment you are going to use during the race the rest must Side 5 af 10

be stored in the luggage zone. Storage of luggage is on your own responsibility; however, the area will be closed off. RACE BRIEFING Race briefing will take place in the cinema in the museum at the GeoCenter on Saturday evening at 20.00 and also on race day, Sunday at 09.15 at the race venue. Race briefing is mandatory for all athletes, as we will be taking you through all the important details of the race. Therefore, you MUST be present at one of the two briefings. AID STATIONS & CATERING In the aid stations on the courses we will serve water and energy drinks. You are not allowed to have your own energy or drinks in the aid stations. Remember your drinking bottle for the MTB course. You are allowed to ride with a camel bag or other fluid containing bags. When you finish the race we will provide your with energy bars, snacks, drinks and a finisher meal. You find the aid stations for XTERRA Denmark here: Aid stations on the courses. Drawing of an aid station, seen from above. TOILETS There are toilets in the event area and nearby the transition zone. Toilets are not provided on the courses. Side 6 af 10

HEAD SWIM COURSE The swim course is 2 laps of each 750 m on a triangle course. There will be no Australian Exit due to rocks/stones at the shore. The race will start with a water start, meaning all athletes must be in the water at the start line, at least 2 min. before the start. You must wear the XTERRA swim cap we have provided you with during the entire swim. No cap no start! You are NOT allowed to swim with supporting tools such as paddles, pool buoy or swim feet. If you are experiencing trouble during the swim and need help just raise your hand. Kayaks, paddleboards and motorboats will be following the swimmers. TRANSITION ZONE T1 Be attentive and show respect for the other athletes in the transition zone. Everyone is interested in having a good race and racing a good time but, this does not exclude the fact that you must take care of each other in the transition zone. There will be officials in the transition zone. You are allowed to run in the transition zone, however, you are NOT allowed to bike. Your helmet must be fasted securely before you leave the transition zone. Read the rules here: www.xterranordic.com/rules As mentioned, it is not allowed to bike in the transition zone. You must first mount your bike when you have passed the mount-line, which is clearly marked. The same applies for re-entering the transition zone; here you must de-mount your bike before passing the mount-line and drag your bike in the transition zone. SPECIALIZED MTB COURSE MAP OF THE MTB COURSE The course is 2 laps of 15 km The marking of the MTB course The course will be marked and ready for test drives from Saturday 26 st of august. The marking will consist of small flags along the entire course and also arrows at every turn. The course will be further marked with more arrows and flags a few days before the race. SALOMON RUN COURSE The run course takes place in Klinteskoven - one of the most beautiful and naturally hilly areas in Denmark. The course is a variation of paths, beaches, limestone and stairs. The course is 2 laps of 3,75 km and 1 lap of 2,5 km. Approximately 1 km before the finish line you will reach the beach for the final part of the race and then 497 steps to the top of the cliff and across the finish line. Side 8 af 10

The course is 2 laps of 3,75 km and 1 lap of 2,5 km. FINISHER ZONE When you finish the race you will run into the finisher zone where all athletes will be handed their well-deserved XTERRA medal. Here you can catch your breath, get some fluids, snacks or energy and off course give a high-five to the other finishing athletes. Remember to hand in your chip before leaving the finisher zone. TRASH ZONE It is FORBIDDEN to throw trash in the nature! Although we try to control the littering on the course it is difficult. Therefore we encourage you to put your trash in your pocket and put it in the market trash zones. On the bike and running course there will be trash zones. This is the only place you are allowed to throw you trash. The trash zones will be in connection to the aid stations. COLLECTING YOUR BIKE AND EQUIPMENT AFTER THE RACE When you finish you can collect your bike in the transition zone. Access is limited to officials and participants with a race number. You MUST keep your race number and show this to enter the transition zone and collect your equipment. Please notice that Side 9 af 10

others might still be racing and please show extra caution and do not stand in their way. Our officials will be controlling if your number and the number on your bike and other equipment are alike. Making sure that you get the right bike home with you. PRIZES XTERRA Denmark Møns Klint European Championships is classified as a GOLD race at the XTERRA European Tour. This means that there will be a total of $ 25.000 US dollars in prize money and 51 qualifying slots for the world championship in XTERRA in Maui. Prize money is only for professional XTERRA athletes. There will be awarded prizes to the best athletes in both ELITE and AGE GROUP races. Additionally, there will be lots of drawing prizes. PICTURES/VIDEO At XTERRA Denmark our always faithful media team, Rebal Media House, will be taking lots of cool photos and videos which will be available on XTERRA Nordic s Facebook page a few days after the race.
