Air Capital Corvette Club Newsletter Volume 45 - Issue 1 January, 2011 Air Capital Corvette Club Officers: President............. Glen Bailey 316-721-5518 Vice President........ Barry Hoofer 316-733-2168 Secretary..........Barbara Brotton 316-722-2632 Treasurer............. Art Warren 316-944-0281 Message from the Prez... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! Hope your holidays were great, and you received all those coveted new corvette accessories. We want to thank Daryl and Cindy Burbach for hosting the annual December Drive and Eat/Christmas party. On behalf of all the club membership, we also want to thank all those that showed up early to set up the event. We also want to thank Betty Henderson for providing the wonderful Christmas decorations, everyone that brought the tasty food, Gary and Cindy Dyke for cooking the meat, and those helping in the clean up effort. The club collected $284 to be donated to The Lord s Diner. The Lords Diner does a tremendous job providing nutritious hot meals to anyone in our community who walks thru their doors. We hope this donation will help continue the good work that their organization provides. This was a great start to the holiday season, and a nice way to end the year. I want to thank the E-Board for having confidence in me, and electing me to the position of club president. Dale Brotton did a fine job and his shoes will be hard to fill. I also want to welcome our new VP, Barry Hoofer; and Art Warren the new treasure to the board. Officer at Large....... Mike McKee 316-806-3531 N.C.C.C. Governor... And as always, Kent Michael continues to amaze everyone with his skills managing the newsletter and e-mails, among other things. The next drive and eat is January 8th, Saturday morning. Dale and Barbara will be hosting, and I m sure we won t be disappointed. On January 14th at the Petroleum Club, our annual Awards Banquet will commence at 6:30pm. The cost is $25 per person. If you have not paid, please do so by the January meeting. The banquet is a great time to be had by all. This should be a great year, and I m looking forward to all the events we have scheduled. As always, if you have any ideas for club events or places to go, please share them with me or an E-Board member. I hope to see everyone at the monthly meeting, February 5th at Don Hattan Chevrolet.
