Final record: 38-36-6 (5 th, Atlantic Division) CHECKING IN ON THE P-BRUINS SINCE LAST REPORT: The P-Bruins went 5-1-0 since March 31, with a 3-2 win vs. Connecticut (04/01), a 4-1 win at Worcester (04/02), a 2-1 loss vs. Worcester (04/03), a 5-4 win vs. Portland (04/08), a 3-2 win at Springfield (04/09) and a 3-2 win vs. Manchester (04/10). TEAM LEADERS: With the P-Bruins season finished, here s a look at their statistical leaders: Goals: Jamie Arniel, 23 Assists: Zach Hamill, 34 Points: Jamie Arniel, 50 Plus/Minus: Steven Kampfer, plus-10 PIM: Nathan McIver, 176 Power play goals: Trent Whitfield, 7 Shots: Jamie Arniel, 262 Wins: Michael Hutchinson, 13 GAA: Anton Khudobin, 2.40 SV&: Anton Khudobin,.920 CALL-UPS: Michael Hutchinson, Anton Khudobin, Jamie Arniel, Jordan Caron, Zach Hamill, Lane MacDermid, Trent Whitfield, Yury Alexandrov, Matt Bartkowski and Steven Kampfer were recalled to Boston on April 12. Bartkowski, Kampfer and Khudobin reported to Boston while the others remain in Providence to train with P-Bruins coaches. KHUDOBIN SOLID IN NET: In 16 games played with the P-Bruins since being acquired in a trade on February 28, Anton Khudobin has gone 9-4-1 with a 2.40 GAA. FORTY-SEVEN: The P-Bruins have had 47 different players suit up for the team at one point or another this season. MISCELLANEOUS: Providence had identical home and road records of 19-18-3 The P-Bruins went 7-3 in shootouts this season, and were 23-0-1 when leading after two periods The team s power play ranked last in the AHL, with a 12.9% success rate. CHECKING IN ON OTHER PROSPECTS CANTIN AND THE MAJORS: Marc Cantin and the Mississauga St. Michael s Majors have swept their way through the first two rounds of the OHL playoffs and await the Niagara Ice Dogs in the Eastern Conference Finals. Cantin has 0-4=4 totals and 8 PIM so far this postseason. FIRST ROUND EXIT: Three Bruins prospects playing in the OHL were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Jared Knight and the London Knights lost four games to two to the Owen Sound Attack, Tyler Randell and the Kitchener Rangers lost to the Plymouth Whalers four games to three and Ryan Spooner and the Kingston Frontenacs were eliminated by the Oshawa Generals four games to one. ECHL PLAYOFFS: Boston s ECHL affiliate, the Reading Royals, are currently down one game to zero in the Eastern Conference semifinals to the Kalamazoo Wings. They defeated the Cincinnati Cyclones three games to one in the conference quarterfinals. Goaltender Matt Dalton played every game of the quarterfinals, going 3-1 and only allowing nine goals. He shutout the Cyclones on April 8. Goaltender Adam Courchaine and the Alaska Aces are up one game to zero on the Idaho Steelheads in the Western Conference semifinals. Courchaine has yet to appear in a playoff game this season. OUT WEST: Craig Cunningham and the Portland Winterhawks swept their first round opponent, the Everett Silvertips four games to none and now are up three games to two on the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Conference semifinals. Cunningham has 4-3=7 totals in nine playoff games this year.
