SO MUCH COOL STUFF SO LITTLE TIME!! COST: $$ STILL FREE GEARHEAD GAZZETTE IT S ALL THE GEARHEAD NEWS YOU CAN USE" VOL No. 7 NOVEMBER 2007 ISSUE No. 11 EDITOR: JIM BRANDAU ROAD RUMBLINGS Greetings Gearheads, Well here it is November already and can someone please tell me where the year went!!!! Boy they re going by faster and faster. Seems like we were just dusting off and waxing up our rides to bust out and go cruisin. Some of you have probably started Christmas shopping already AARRRGGGHHHH!!!! As you check out this issue, you will see that I have cleared out the cruise nite section. I know some of those cruise nites may still be going on all year long, but to make sure the GAZZETTE has good info to share, I took them all out. Now if you are putting on or know of a cruise nite that is happening during the winter months(die HARDS BABY!!) send it to me and I will list it again. For those cruise nites that will happen in 2008 when the weather warms up, as you solidify your plans & events, send me the info and we ll get it listed for all to see. Thanks goes out to all the clubs, groups, folks & business s that do sponsor and hold cruise nites, whether they are weekly or monthly or 2 times a year THANKS!!! It takes a lot of work to make that happen and happen smoothly and on behalf of all the PUBLISHED: WHENEVER I CAN DO IT OR ONCE A MONTH MOST OF THE TIME GEARHEADS I want to recognize you for your efforts. Without all of you, all of us wouldn t have a cool place to cruise to to show off our rides. Thanks. Check out the COOL HAPPENINGS IN YOUR GARAGES section for a couple of TOO COOL rides in this months issue. Check out the events section for all the info on the KRIS KRINGLE car show, that is happening Nov 10 & 11 at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center in Franklin Tn. Tom Akers and his crew have put together over 70 Classics, Customs, Hot Rods, Trick Trucks & a few surprises for this years edition of the show. If you ve never been before, don t miss it. A little bit of everything from 1900 on is on display. It s a great mid Fall classic that helps keep the Gearhead Spirit going as the weather cools down. If you haven t seen or heard about it, GOODGUYS 2008 schedule is out and it has some new events on it. The 3rd Nashville Nationals event will be June 27-29 th at LP field. The other event from GOODGUYS that we can take in that s close is the 1 st annual Nostalgia Nationals being held in Bowling Green KY at Beech Bend Raceway. In my opinion, along with others, NHRA made a big mistake when they moved the NHRA Reunion from Bowling Green. This new event from GOODGUYS should be awesome. It will include a car show and Vintage Drag Racing, GOODGUYS style. More info to come later, but ere s hoping there is a Cacklefest and all the good stuff that goes with the Nostalgia Nationals. Make your hotel reservations now as it is sure to fill up fast like 2 years ago. As your club or Organization plans your event for 2008, make sure you send us the info so we can get it out there for ya to have a successful event. With November comes Thanksgiving. Please keep our Military folks especially the ones overseas in the war zones in your thoughts and prayers. Thank them for what they give to us the freedom to fight over who has the better ride CHEVY, FORD or MOPAR. May you and your families & friends have a very Happy Thanksgiving. Now cut the Bird and pass the gravey!!! Until next issue, keep it between the lines. Jimmy B. As always, if you want the GAZZETTE direct instead of forwarded 2 nd hand, let us know. All you need to do is send me an email at gearheadgazzette@aol.com. You can also always check out the current issue of the GAZZETTE on line at www.gearheadgazzette.com Remember we re here for a good time not a long time Enjoy the Ride.
