TO ENSURE SAFETY TO ENSURE SAFETY WARNING Be sure to follow the instructions provided in the manuals when installing the product. It is recommended to use SHIMANO genuine parts only. If parts such as bolts and nuts become loose or damaged, the bicycle may suddenly fall over, which may cause serious injury. In addition, if adjustments are not carried out correctly, problems may occur, and the bicycle may suddenly fall over, which may cause serious injury. Make sure that the smallest sprocket and second sprocket are properly positioned. If the lock ring is tightened when the sprockets are improperly positioned, the protrusions on the smallest sprocket may be damaged during tightening and the force applied to the adjustable wrench used for tightening may dissipate suddenly, causing you to lose your balance. This in turn may cause severe injury. In addition, if the bicycle is ridden with the sprockets improperly installed, sprocket damage or chain skip may occur, and the bicycle may suddenly fall over, which may cause severe injury. Smallest sprocket Protrusion Second sprocket Indent Properly positioned state Improperly positioned state The protrusions on the smallest sprocket fit into the indents in the second sprocket along the entire circumference. There are places where the protrusions on the smallest sprocket overlap the indents in the second sprocket. 4

- TO ENSURE SAFETY Be sure to wear safety glasses or goggles to protect your eyes while performing maintenance tasks such as replacing parts. After reading the dealer's manual thoroughly, keep it in a safe place for later reference. NOTE Be sure to also inform users of the following: If the chain keeps skipping during use, replace the gears and the chain. Products are not guaranteed against natural wear and deterioration from normal use and aging. For maximum performance we highly recommend SHIMANO lubricants and maintenance products. For installation to the bicycle, and maintenance: The gears should be periodically washed with a neutral detergent. Always be sure to use the sprocket set bearing the same group marks; never use in combination with a sprocket bearing a different group mark. Group marks * Depending on the tooth combination, some may not have a mark. C HYPERG L I DE IMANO S H Always use CS-M9100-12 and CS-M9110-11 in combination with CN-M9100.
