I have to thank my great Board and give them all the credit for a great year! We accomplished much this year. Thanks to Rachel we had some new and interesting race courses that all enjoyed racing. Thanks to Matt we had some great social events, and Taco Thursday s after the races were awesome! Thanks to Linda our house was always well stocked with everything that we needed to have a great time. Thanks to Peg we had a great regatta and open house. Thanks to John we made some very nice improvements to the docks. Thanks to Chris we had excellent records of our meetings and a very good newsletter. Thanks to Bridget (and Matt) we had another great year of sail camp. And thanks to Diane for keeping us on budget and keeping LYSA in very good financial shape. And most important thanks to all of the great LYSA members that worked so hard to make our events and club a success! In addition we added ten new members, replaced our dead ice machine, bought a bunch of new chairs to replace the old white plastic ones, voted to start a Sea Scout program under the leadership of Richard Kleitman. Plus, and most importantly, had a lot of fun! Your new board for 2107, which was voted in during our annual awards dinner in October, is Brigitte Bowers Loeffler-Commodore, Tom Cooke- Vice Commodore, Jay Sousa -Past Commodore, Chris Martin-Secretary, John Larson- Dock Captain, Deb Hardin-Race Captain, Peg Larson-House Captain, Diane Sousa- Treasurer and Matt Loeffler- Cruise & Social Captain. This is going to be a very good board and I know that we will have a great 2107! Our next event is our Christmas Party on Saturday December 10 th at the Fish and Game building at the lake. Watch for E-mails about this great event. I want to thank all of my fellow LYSA members for making my year as Commodore a very rewarding experience! - Commodore Jay 2

What a great turnout for the End of the Season party. As usual Matt and Ed did a GREAT job with the trophies and Rachel did awesome with not only her recognizing her race crew but with her thoughtful gifts. Beautiful weather with great food topped it all off. Looks like we have a dedicated group for our new Board and I am looking forward to being House Captain, with Linda s advice and aid I sure it will be smooth sailing. Hope to see you all at our Christmas Party and at our next meeting, where we will be discussing the budget so if you have any ideas or concerns that would be an excellent time to bring them up. See you at the clubhouse! Past Commodore Peggy Larson House Captain Linda Sorensen Peggy Larson is now the new LYSA House Captain for 2017. Darrell and I have cleaned out the office / storage room at the house. We took ten of the brown chairs to Goodwill and threw five away that were too broken to repair. The oven and refrigerator are clean. The mouse count stopped with Thom Grimaldi, not my thing! Membership Meeting Join us! There will be a tree for our annual gift exchange, please make sure your gift is marked as adult or child. We will continue the Ugly ( Most Unusual ) Christmas Sweater Contest. I d like to thank everyone that has participated in our events. I d especially like to thank all those that have helped out in making them successful. I m not even going to try and list all the wonderful people that have stepped up with time and energy to do this because I know that I couldn t remember everyone. This doesn t just include those helping out at the club house, but also those that went on club trips, helped out in Junior Sailing activities; the list goes on and on. There were a number of people that aren t club members that have helped out in these events, parents and families of kids from the Junior Sailing. This thanks goes to all those that have come to our club events, like the Open House, and the Regatta. I think one of the best things about this club is all the people that I meet through it, either here or away. THANK YOU!
