PONY MEASUREMENT: Measurement of ponies will be conducted by appointment at the show. All expenses

related to the measurement will be the responsibility of the owner of the pony or ponies up to $100.00. Contact the Show Manager if you want to arrange to have a pony measured. Only measured ponies may participate in Pony Classes. Expenses may include vet travel time and trip fees, and any other expenses not normally associated with a dressage show. The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.) is offering ribbons and prizes to the high score Thoroughbred at each level in the CLASSIC show (Saturday Classes). Eligible horses must provide T.I.P. numbers to event organizer with entry. For more information, visit www.tjctip.com ENTRIES: Freestyle entries must be accompanied by a photocopy of test verifying eligibility (minimum requirement 60% at the highest test of a declared level from an USEF show or any test of a higher level). Freestyle music must be given to the announcer at least four hours before the scheduled ride time. Coordinate a sound check time with the announcer. Juniors pleast list your birth date. State qualifying where applicable. GAIG/USDF qualifying entries must include copy of USEF and USDF horse registration cards. State level on Test of Choice classes. Riders who are not US citizens please include a copy of foreign competitors license or USEF Card. GUEST HORSE: Non Competing horses are welcome. Send a completed entry form with a $25 user fee plus the $25 Office fee. Submit a current Coggins with entry and pay either stabling or day parking. Competing horses will take preference over guests if warm up areas are crowded. Make check payable to CTDA and mail with entry, USDF/USEF documents and copy of negative Coggins to Secretary. ARENAS: Air conditioned Indoor arena. Competition: 20 X 60 meters, two indoor, (side by side) one outdoor. Warm-up: One covered one outdoor, separate area for lunging. All outdoor rings are sand/quarter down mix. Indoor rings are clay/sand mix with coliseum seating. All arenas are open for schooling from Thursday noon until 8:00 pm. On Friday and Saturday from end of competition until 8:00 pm. Warm up arenas are open for schooling any time. HOSPITALITY: Concessions available on grounds. OTHER. Management reserves the right to combine or divide classes, add or substitute judges or make any changes as required by circumstances. OPPORTUNITY CLASSES: These classes are exempt from required USEF and USDF fees for horse, rider, trainer, etc. Entries in opportunity classes may ONLY cross enter into Introductory classes. All dogs must be leashed, no dogs allowed in coliseum. Youth Regional Team Competition Rules A Rider may compete as a Junior/Young Rider until the end of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 21. The USDF Youth Regional Team Competition is a unique show for Youth, featuring

team competition in dressage, educational programs, team medals and mounted awards ceremony. The United States Dressage Federation (USDF) is sponsoring a competition in each region so young riders everywhere can join in the fun! There are no qualifying scores needed to enter. A team can be 3 or 4 riders. You may enter as part of a team or as an individual, and be put on a scratch team. A team may represent a dressage club, farm, barn, instructor, Pony Club, 4-H club, any youth riding club, or be a group of individuals. Any individual or partial team needing team members is encouraged to send in their entry and a mixed team will be formed. To enter, send in the Team Competition Entry Blank. See www.tndressage.com or contact the secretary for a form...or fill one out at check in at the show. RULES: On the day of the Youth Regional Team competition while on the grounds (including the stabling area) the horse or pony may only be ridden by the Youth Rider that will be competing on that horse or pony. If the Team Competition is held in conjunction with an open competition, then on the day of the day of the Youth Team Competition the horse or pony may only be ridden by the Youth Rider competing it in the team competition. One whip is allowed and must be in accordance with the USEF whip rules. Horses and ponies are to be braided Parents are encouraged to participate. Awards Ceremony: Riders will be expected to be dressed in riding clothes and mounted for the awards ceremony. TESTS: Each competitor will ride two tests in their division. Riders competing in FEI divisions will only ride one test. All tests used will be current issue. TEAM NAMES : Have fun with this! Some examples are: Pony Power; Wild Things... AWARDS: USDF rider team medals on neck ribbons will be awarded for first through sixth place in each division. Standings will be determined by the average of each team s total score. Any division with more than six teams will be split. USDF Rosettes will be awarded to the Individual High Score Champion in each division. Riders will be expected to be dressed in riding clothes and mounted for the awards ceremony. USDF Shining Star pins will be awarded to recognize outstanding sportsmanship amongst USDF Youth Members (see USDF Shining Star Award nomination form for further details). SCORING: All scores from each team will be counted. No scores will be dropped. Total points from each team member will be added together and divided by the number of tests to compute team placing. Three and four member teams may be in the same division. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: There will be a team meeting on Friday evening (early) Details will be posted. All team competition will all take place on Saturday, August 25th There is no fee to compete on a team. In addition to your normal entry form, please submit a note indicating your intention to be on a team specifying the classes to include in team competition. Include team name and names of other members. If you want to be assigned to a team please indicate. We encourage all eligible competitors to join a team and join in the fun. If you need additional members to fill out your team we will arrange it as possible. Team Competition forms will be finalized at the Friday Meeting. Scores will posted in the secretary s office. Please check them early and often to see

Rider must be a current Tennessee GMO member in good standing a score is earned well as a current GMO member when the show takes place. 2. Qualifying Season: August 1, 2012 August 1, 2013. Championship qualifying scores must be earned during the current qualifying years prior to the closing date for entries. 3. Scores earned at any USEF/USDF recognized show in any state may be used. 4. Only scores using current USEF approved dressage test count. (Dressage equitation, Dressage suitability and USDF Introductory and Opportunity classes do not count. ) 5. Qualifying scores are for a single horse/rider combination, they cannot be earned separately. 6. In order to establish your qualification for championship classes, list your qualifying scores and attach photocopies of the front cover of the qualifying tests to the entry form. Also enclose all copies of required USEF/USDF memberships and registrations. 7. Championship classes will be run under USEF/USDF Championship Rules, in that Championship classes must be ridden from memory, and whips are not allowed. Additionally, at no time during the show may a Championship entered horse be ridden by anyone other than the rider entered on that horse (with the exception of a groom walking on a loose rein). Any horse entered in Championship competition must be ridden by the same rider throughout the entire competition. We will not be closing competition arena gates during tests. 8. Horse/rider combinations may enter two levels, but may only ride in one division (Open, AA or Junior/ Young Rider). Each horse entered must be ridden by the same rider throughout the competition. 9. Horse/rider combinations winning Championship Show classes may not compete at that level in future championship classes (except FEI). 10. Tests selected for championship classes are at the discretion of show management. Training - Fourth Levels will ride the two highest tests of the level. Championship scores will be calculated by averaging the percentages earned in the two test ridden. FEI, Freestyles, Quadrille and Pas de Deux Championship classes will be judged by

two judges and the two scores averaged. 11. AWARDS for Tennessee State Dressage Championships: Competitors are required to be present, dressed in show attire and mounted to receive awards. If scheduling conflict occurs, rider must have a representative collect the award, with horse, or get permission from show management to miss the award ceremonies. Awards for championships are Ribbons to 10th place. Champion and Reserve champions will receive an Award and neck ribbon. $100 Cash Award for Tennessee State Championships will be awarded to the one highest scoring rider in the entire State Championship classes. (Not divided by level or status. Excludes MFS, Pas de Deux and Intro) FREESTYLE, PAS DE DEUX : 1. Open to all riders who have met the qualifying score requirements. 2. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. GOLF CARTS AND ANY MOTORIZED VEHICLE STATEMENT: All golf carts and motorized vehicles on the show grounds must be driven only by those having a valid state driver s license. All liability associated with any motorized vehicles is owned by the motorized vehicle driver, owner and lessee. Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside, will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of ANY kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against of the above in accordance with Rule 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. USEF Article GR901.29. USDF Membership Benefits: USDF is dedicated to education, the recognition of achievement, and promotion of dressage. For details on member benefits, including educational programs, awards, and other opportunities, refer to the USDF Member Guide or the USDF website at www.usdf.org. This competition is recognized by USDF for 2014 Membership Requirements for USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized Competitions: Owners and riders, including foreign riders and owners who are not residents of the US, wishing to participate in a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition as a rider or owner/lessee, must have either a USDF Group Membership, Participating Membership (PM), or have a USDF Non-Member (NM) identification number and pay the USDF NM fee. (Note: USDF business members can own horses but cannot compete as riders with their USDF BM.) Individuals cannot compete at a USEFlicensed/USDF-recognized competition with a USDF Education Membership. Horses competing at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competitions must have either a USDF Horse Identification (HID) number or a USDF Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR). Proper credentials or verification certificates must be presented to the competition secretary. Riders and owners wishing to participate in a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition, and not able to present the competition secretary with verification of a USDF membership or NM identification, and USDF LHR or USDF HID, must complete a USDF Competition Affidavit Form and pay the $5 affidavit filing fee. A copy of a completed affidavit form from another competition may also be used for verification purposes for up to 60 days. (Exception: Affidavits cannot be used at Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships.) Exceptions: Horses competing only in Individual Breed Classes (IBCs) at DSHB competitions, sires and dams of horses in DSHB group classes, where those sires or dams are not actually competing in the same competition, horses competing only in breed restricted dressage or DSHB classes at Regular Competitions (e.g. all Arabian, all Friesian, or all Morgan classes), or in USDF Introductory Level tests, pas de deux, quadrille, FEI Para-Equestrian classes, are exempt from this requirement. Also exempt are horses ridden in leadline, exhibitions, games and races, classes for 4-H members, walk-trot, academy and opportunity classes. Riders and owners/lessees competing only in classes which are exempt from the USDF HID requirements are also exempt from the USDF NM identification number and NM fee requirements. Also exempt are handlers of horses competing in DSHB In-Hand or Group classes. Memberships Defined Participating Membership (PM): A membership issued to an individual directly by USDF. The membership year is December 1 through November 30. PMs are available for 1-year ($75), 5-years ($300), or life ($1,500). A USDF Youth Participating Membership (YPM) is available for individuals who have not reached their 21 st birthday by December 1 of the current membership year ($60). A PM allows the member to compete at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competitions and to participate as a rider and/or owner/lessee for all Adequan /USDF Year-End Awards, Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals and the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championship program. Group Membership (GM): A membership issued to an individual by USDF when the member name and dues are submitted to USDF through an affiliate Group Member Organization (GMO). The GM year begins December 1 and ends November 30. A GM allows the member to compete at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competitions and participate in the USDF Rider Awards program. Business Membership (BM): A membership that runs December 1 through November 30 and is issued to a business or organization directly by USDF. The USDF BM ($200) offers a wider variety of advertising benefits. BMs satisfy requirements of horse ownership only. Education Membership (EM): A membership issued to an individual directly by USDF. This online education only membership expires 12 months after the date joined. This membership type does NOT allow an individual to compete at a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition. Non-Member (NM) Identification Number: For each USDF NM owner/lessee and USDF NM rider there will be a USDF NM fee of $25 and a USDF NM form per competition that must be collected by the show secretary and submitted to USDF along with the USDF Report of Fees document and the $5 affidavit fee if the person cannot provide a copy of their USDF NM card. Owners/lessees or riders exempt from the NM number requirements are also exempt from paying the USDF NM fee. If there are multiple owners of a horse and all are NMs, only one of the owners must pay the NM fee. If the horse has at least one owner who is a current USDF member there is no NM fee assessed. Competition management will be invoiced for all applicable USDF NM fees not received with the USDF post competition paperwork, along with a report listing all USDF NMs. Competition management is then required to submit the NM fees within 30 days to the USDF. An individual with a USDF NM identification number is not eligible for any USDF membership benefits. Once a USDF NM number has been assigned, a USDF NM card can be obtained from the USDF website. Horse Identification (HID) Number: A one-time tracking number for horses ($25). Scores earned by a horse with an HID number will be recorded, but will NOT be counted towards Adequan /USDF Year-End Awards. A horse with an HID number is not eligible to compete in Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional qualifying or championship classes or Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals. An HID number can be upgraded to a Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR) for a fee of $70. If a horse has a USDF LHR it does not need an HID number. An HID number is a one-time fee that does not need to be renewed. Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR): A horse with an LHR ($95) is eligible for Adequan /USDF Year-End Awards, and eligible to compete at Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals and Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional qualifying and championship classes, assuming requirements for the owner and rider are met. 2014 USDF/Dover Saddlery Adult Amateur Medal Program The USDF/Dover Saddlery Adult Amateur Medal Program is designed to specifically recognize and encourage adult amateurs riding at Second Level. Awards 1. USDF/Dover Saddlery Medal Recipient The eligible rider with the highest score of 60 percent or better in the designated Second Level Test Three class or applicable test of choice USDF/Dover Saddlery Adult Amateur Medal class at a participating competition will receive a handcrafted USDF/Dover Saddlery pewter medal and neck ribbon. Winners will receive a $20 Dover Saddlery gift certificate for the first three USDF/Dover Saddlery Medals they win during the competition season. 2. USDF/Dover Saddlery National Merit Award A USDF/Dover Saddlery National Merit Award will be awarded to riders winning three USDF/Dover Saddlery Medals in the same competition year. 3. Year-End Awards The USDF/Dover Saddlery Medal National Champion and Reserve Champion are determined from the average of the top three winning ride scores during the competition year. 2014 Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships A single Regional Dressage Championship program organized by the United States Dressage Federation (USDF), and recognized by the United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (USEF), will be held in each of the nine USDF regions.
