We will be crowning a Division Queen and Princess (1 st RU) from each division. Division Queens will receive a Custom Crown, Embroidered Sash, Trophy and other fun prizes Tiny: 3 yrs. 4 yrs. Little: 5 yrs. 8 yrs. Junior: 9 yrs. 12 yrs. Jr. Teen: 13 yrs. 15 yrs. Teen: 16 yrs. 19 yrs. Miss: 20 yrs. 29 yrs. Ms.: 30 yrs. 39 yrs. Elegant: 40 yrs. + Princesses (1 st RU) will receive a Custom tiara, Embroidered Sash, Trophy and other fun prizes. Sweetheart Queen (any age with disabilities, 3 spots available) *If there are less than 3 contestants in any one division, divisions may be combined at the discretion of the director. How Do I Enter? Go to www.americanroyalspiritpageants.com. Go to the 2019 Pageant tab. Download the paperwork/information. Click on the Enter now tab and fill out the information on the tab. At the end of the form, hit submit and then process your PayPal payment for $100.00 by hitting the PayPal button. PayPal address is arspageant@gmail.com. $100.00 fee will cover all competitions. You will also have the option of instead of you paying the $100.00, you may obtain a sponsor for the $100.00. Your sponsor will be advertised in all our advertisements for the 2-23-19 Pageant. They would need to PayPal or Business check made payable to: American Royal Spirit Pageants. Other required items at check in include: A new toy worth at least $10.00 and/or at least 3 Children s books each for donation to our favorite charitable organizations: Bernie s Book Bank and Lurie s Children s Hospital Door Fee (per person) $5.00 www.americanroyalspiritpageants.com 3
Enter early to get the best position available in the contestant lineup! Additional (Possible) Costs 1. Any people attending the competitions need to purchase wristbands for $5.00 each. 2. Hometown Ambassador Crown and Sash an option to have a crown and sash waiting (to be crowned) in case a Division or Princess Title is not won. $40.00 check made out to ARSP that will only be cashed if the Hometown Ambassador is issued. The check will be ripped up if a Division or Princess Title is achieved - this must be done at check-in, in order to be crowned before pictures. Can also add after the pageant, but since the end of the pageant is busy, it has to wait until after pageant pack-up is complete. 3. Will have raffle prizes available. We may also have vendors with jewelry and possible other items for sale. 4. Dazzle Shots will be our photographer of the day. Deadlines and Other Important Information Deadlines The deadline to enter is no later than 2/8/19, no exceptions. All fees and paperwork are due. We cannot track down everyone for payment or paperwork. Enter early to secure the best spot in lineup! Non-refundable Deposit/Payments if for some reason you do not pay your entire fee by the deadline, you will not be able to compete or fail to attend the pageant, we cannot refund any monies you have paid to date. We do not carry over fees to the following year and cannot refund any fees. 1 HEADSHOT WILL BE NEEDED FOR PROGRAM BOOK. Pageant Information Below is the guide to all the competitions of the on-stage pageant. The pageant part of the competition includes a panel style interview with the judges, an onstage introduction, a Red, White and Blue outfit of choice modeling, and a formal wear modeling competition. INTERVIEW - 30% Contestants will be asked questions off their contestant sheets by a panel of judges at one table. Contestants will be in a chair facing the judges. Questions will not be political or controversial in nature. Each contestant will be judged on poise and speaking ability, eye contact, personality and delivery of answers. Dress for Interview will be as follows: Interview style dress or interview suit. Suit not necessary and only for older contestants please. Just present a professional, clean appearance. Interview Timing During interview, the contestant will be escorted in and out of the interview room and a timer will be in the room at all times. If the contestant is midanswer when the time is exhausted, the contestant can complete their answer. On Stage Introduction - 10% On Stage Introduction is the judge s first look at you on stage. It will include the following items: Name Division Hometown A quick fun fact about you Each contestant will do their introduction and will walk off the stage followed immediately by the next contestant. The competition will be done in the Red, White and Blue outfit of Choice. Scores are based on the following: Stage presence and confidence, personality and poise, communication skills for the age. Once introduction is done, the lineup for Red, White and Blue Outfit of Choice Will Start. www.americanroyalspiritpageants.com 7
RED, WHITE AND BLUE OUTFIT OF CHOICE MODELING - 20% This modeling routine will be done wearing any type of Red, White and Blue wear. It is a fun fashion modeling. Anything goes for an outfit just NO full glitz or swimsuits or formal gowns. Please still make sure it is age appropriate. Modeling routines must not exceed 45 seconds. There is no formation to walk, so this is a freeform modeling routine (music is provided). Red, White and Blue outfit of choice scores will be based on: modeling ability, creativity, personality, stage presence and fit and appropriateness of outfit. Contestant should remain on Stage until the emcee has repeated her name and contestant number for the judges. www.americanroyalspiritpageants.com 8
FORMAL WEAR - 40% This modeling routine will follow a slow T-formation. Deductions could occur for not following the walking pattern. The guidelines for dresses are: Tiny: T-length dresses or formal length with dress shoes with socks or tights. Little, Junior and Junior Teen: A long formal gown with straps. Only the tips of the shoes should be seen. If a short gown is used, a deduction may occur. Teen, Miss, Ms. And Elegant: A long formal gown. Only tips of shoes should be seen (if any). If a short gown is used, a deduction may occur. Please Check choice of shoes and heel size for age appropriateness.
