RULES: 1.1 This regatta will be governed by the 2013-2016 Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) with US Sailing prescriptions. Kaneohe Yacht Club (KYC) is the organizing authority. 1.2 The US Sailing prescription to rule 63.4 Interested Party will not apply. 2. ADVERTISING: Advertising shall be in compliance with ISAF Regulation 20. 3. ELIGIBILITY and ENTRIES: 3.1 Entrants must be a member in good standing of the El Toro International Yacht Racing Association (ETIYRA), an owner of an El Toro (as defined in the Class Rules), and a member, or dependent of a member, of a club affiliated with US Sailing or ISAF. 3.2 Eligible boats may enter by completing the attached form and submitting it with the required fee(s) to the El Toro International YRA at the address shown below by July 25 th 3.3 Late entries will be accepted at KYC prior to the end of the registration period. 4. DIVISIONS: 4.1 The Junior Division includes skippers who have not reached their 15 th birthday as of January 31, 2013. 4.2 The Junior Division will be split into Gold and Silver classes. 4.3 The Senior Division includes all other skippers. 5. FEES: 5.1 If received by July 25, 2013, the fee is $105 for members of US Sailing, and $120 for non-members. 5.2 A late fee of $10 will apply after July 25 th El Toro 2013 NA Notice of Race

MEASUREMENTS: Boats must hold a valid measurement certificate prior to registration. 8. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS will be available at KYC and on the KYC website after July 14 th. 9. VENUE: The racing area will be on Kaneohe Bay east of Moko O Lo e (Coconut Island). 10. COURSES: The courses to be sailed will be described in the Sailing Instructions. 11. SCORING:. 11.1 Three races must be completed to constitute a regatta. 11.2 No race will be excluded unless six races have been completed, this modifies Rule A2. 11.3 A DSQ score may not be excluded. 12. PRIZES: 12.1 The winners' names will be enscribed on Junior and Senior perpetual trophies held at Richmond Yacht Club. 12.2 There will be other awards as determined by the ETIYRA. 13. Kaneohe Yacht Club looks forward to your arrival for the North Americans. Please check in at the KYC Club Office upon arrival. You will be issued a guest membership for the duration of your stay. Guest passes will be available from July 25, 2013 through August 12, 2013. Registration will be Sunday, August 4 th from 1400 to 1600. Anyone who has not checked in at the KYC Office by that time may do so prior to check in at the racers' table. Your opportunity to reserve extra seats for the Awards Ceremony and purchase additional commemorative T-shirts is on page two of this letter. Please reserve and purchase before the July 25 cut-off to ensure that meals and sizes you desire are available. In addition, the price for the Awards Ceremony goes up after that date. Located on the windward side of Oahu, KYC is a family oriented yacht club with a very busy schedule of events. Please visit our website at www.kaneoheyachtclub.com for details. Here are some of the things going on in and around the time of the North American Championships: On the water: Every Thursday evening Happy Hour races. Boats leave the Bulkhead in a staggered start format starting at 6 PM. If you wish to join in, arrive by 5:45 prepared to sail. Someone will take you along! Friday evenings feature El Toro races. The races start in the basin at 6 PM. If your boat is ready to go, you are encouraged to join in! Saturday and Sunday, August 3 rd and 4 th : The Hawaii Laser Association will be racing on Kaneohe Bay. Boats from Hawaii Yacht Club will be visiting and on Sunday, KYC's Inshore Racing Fleet will race three races on Kaneohe Bay. On Friday, August 9 th an ocean race from Kaneohe to Nawiliwili will depart Kaneohe. Our shoreside social scene: The KYC bar is open daily from 4 PM weekdays and 10 AM weekends. Our food service features a Sail Away Barbecue on Wednesday and Friday evenings, Sit-down Dinner on Thursday, Sunday Brunch (reservations suggested for both), Prime Time Tuesdays (prime rib dinner) and snack bar lunches through August 8. These are subject to change and prices vary. The pool and tennis courts are available for use by all members and their guests.
