A copy of this certification is on file with USA-Swimming. FACILITIES DESCRIPTION: This competition pool is 50 meters, 8 lanes with non-turbulent lane lines. The water depth of the competition pool, when measured for a distance of 3 3.5 (1 meter) to 16 5 (5 meters) from both end walls is 13 6 and 8 and is compliant with USA-S Rule 202.4.9C. The pool is equipped with a Colorado electronic timing system. Spectator seating and swimming bleachers are available. Warm-up and cool down will be available throughout the meet in the separate lap pool. TIME TRIALS: Time trials will not be offered at this meet. ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION: The meet is open to all USA-S swimming athletes ages 19-under. Age of the first day of the meet, April 29, 2016 will determine eligibility. Deck entries will be accepted for open lanes only at the discretion of the Meet Referee. USA-Swimming and Oklahoma Swimming registration will be allowed at the meet and Registration forms will be available at the Clerk of the Course area. No swimmer will be permitted to compete unless the swimmer is a member as provided in Article 302. The meet host will provide assistance in completing the registration forms. The Meet Director will initiate a registration recon report to the OKS Registration Chair within 5-6 days prior to the event. The report will list all registration errors for athletes entered in the meet. The Meet Director will notify the attending clubs or unattached athletes of these errors. The error must be corrected or reconciled before the start of the first session in which they are entered or the athlete will not be allowed to swim. The Meet Referee and Meet Director will work with the cooperation of the Registration Chair to enforce and follow up on the swimmers noted in the registration recon report. DISABILITIES: Extreme Aquatic Team welcomes all athletes. Please alert the Meet Director of any special accommodations that may be required.
WARM-UP: DISTANCE: There will be one or two warm-up sessions with team lane assignments, dependent on number of entries. Teams will be notified of the time and lane assignments at least 48 hours prior to the meet. Afternoon warm-ups will begin fifteen minutes following the conclusion of the morning session, but no earlier than 12:30 pm. USA-Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA- Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition, and cool-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee shall assist the athlete in making arrangements for such supervision if needed. Any swimmer entered in the meet unaccompanied by a USA- Swimming member coach must be certified by a USA-Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from the water. It is the responsibility of the swimmer to swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. OKS warm-up procedures will be enforced. ALL FRIDAY EVENTS will require positive check-in and will be deck seeded. *FRIDAY POSITIVE CHECK-IN WILL CLOSE AT 4:30PM. All 400 Free events will be swum slowest to fastest, all girl heats and then boy heats. The 1500 Free will be swum fastest to slowest alternating girls and boys heats. On Sunday, the 400 IM will require positive check-in. *POSITIVE CHECK-IN FOR THIS EVENT WILL CLOSE 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SESSION. It will be swum fastest to slowest alternating girls and boys heats. All 50 sprint events will begin at the start end of the pool (deep). RULES: ENTRY FEES: DECK ENTRIES: 2015 USAS Rules, supplemented by appropriate Oklahoma Swimming Rules will govern the meet. ALL EVENTS are timed finals. Failure to show for a positive checked in event will result in the forfeiture the swimmer's next individual event. The Oklahoma Scratch Rule is in effect for this meet. It is the swimmer s responsibility to report to their assigned heat and lane prior to the start of their race. $5.50 per individual event* $11.00 per relay event* $11.00 per individual deck entry* $22.00 per relay deck entry* $20.00 facility surcharge *$2.00 to OKS Aquatic Fund Deck entries will be accepted for open lanes only at the discretion of the Meet Referee. Cost for deck entries are double the normal event fee. All swimmers must be entered in the meet to swim deck entry events (individual or relay) and are subject to the $20 facility surcharge. Friday Session: Deck entries will close at 4:30 pm Saturday/Sunday AM session: Deck entries will close at 8:00 am Saturday/Sunday PM session: Deck entries will close at 30 minutes prior to the start of the session. ENTRY LIMIT: A swimmer may enter a maximum of FOUR individual events and ONE relay daily, with a meet maximum of TEN individual and TWO relay events. Total athletes entered will be limited to 600 athletes. Teams will be entered by the Meet Director in the order that they are received according to date and time
stamp. Teams will be notified if their entries are received after the 600 athlete cutoff. Team entries will not be split. RELAYS: ENTRY FORMS: ALL relays will be MIXED gender and MUST consist of 2 boys and 2 girls. Each team will be allowed to enter a maximum of 4 entries per relay event. Swimmers may swim up in age for purposes of relays only. Relays cards will be due 45 minutes prior to the start of the session. All entries should be submitted electronically. Files compatible with Hy-Tek Meet Manager (e.g. C12, Sd3, hyv) is the preferred format. Any handwritten or printed entries must indicate the swimmer s name, sex, birth date, USAS #, event # (s), and seed times. All entry times must be in long course meters. A NO TIME for an event will be accepted. Please include the entry chair s name, phone #, and e-mail contact information. Each entry file will be followed up with an entry report for review and confirmation. Coaches or a team representative must certify that all swimmers entered on the team roster are members of USAS or have applied for membership by sending appropriate application to the club s registration chairman or the OKS Registration Chairman before the first day of the meet. Any entries received after this time should be turned in at the meet and handled as a deck entry. No exceptions to this timeline will be made. Each event will be heated and swam together (12 and under and senior ), but the scoring breakdown will be as follows 8 & under, 9-10, 11-12, these groups will receive ribbons for individual places 1-8 and for relay places 1-3 (10-under and 12-under). Any 12 and under athlete may swim in a SENIOR EVENT. Senior events will be separated in the following age groups for placing but no awards will be given for senior events: 12 & under, 13-14 15-16, 17-over. This meet will not be scored. Final results will be sent electronically to each team s representative within 24 hours after the conclusion of the meet via email. In addition to posting results on deck and in the spectator area, live results will be available online at www.extremeaquatic.org. Meet Mobile may be in use however, results posted there are NOT considered official. DECK CHANGING: As per USAS Rule 202.4.9, effective Jan. 1, 2016, deck changing is prohibited SAFETY: Activities in the competition area which may result in injury are prohibited. Marshals will be appointed to monitor the activities of swimmers and spectators during warm-ups and the meet. They are empowered by the safety rules of
Oklahoma Swimming to enforce the safety procedures governing this meet. Repeated violations or activities that are considered to be sufficiently dangerous may result in ejection from the meet. USA-S Rules of Conduct will be strictly enforced. Any individual who exhibits behavior of threatening, abusive, or derogatory manner toward an official or member of the meet operating staff is subject to immediate removal from the meet. It is understood and agreed that USA-Swimming, Oklahoma Swimming, Extreme Aquatic Team, and Mitch Park YMCA shall be free from any and all liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event. Rules regarding use of cell phones or cameras at OKS Sanctioned Meets: The use of equipment capable of taking pictures (e.g. cameras, cellular phones, PDA s etc.) will be banned behind the starting blocks during all meets sanctioned by OKS. USA- S rule 202.4.9 require that the use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Flash photography will not be allowed during the start of any heat. Individuals using flash photography near the start of a heat may be ejected from the meet facility. DECK ACCESS: Access to the pool deck area will be limited to athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers of the host team only. Parents wishing to observe the competition must do so from the spectator area. Non-Athlete Registration cards do NOT grant parents access to the pool deck at any time. Coaches must wear proof of current CPR, First Aid, and Coaches Safety Certification while on deck. The Meet Director and the Meet Referee reserve the right to limit deck access in the event of overcrowding, inappropriate behavior or for any reason concerning the safety or the efficient operation of the meet. Handicap seating is available in the spectator seating area and is accessible via elevator. HEAT SHEETS: Heat sheets will be on sale for $7.00 at the merchandise stand. MERCHANDISE: Swim merchandise and custom meet shirts will be available for purchase. HOSPITALITY: CONCESSIONS: A hospitality area will be available to Coaches, Officials and Volunteers who are working more than one session per day. A concessions area will be available to swimmers and spectators.
