Rankings Rankings will be based on sanctioned tournament results only See age class booklet about sanction program Full points will only be received by teams who participate in the age class they re registered in

Rankings 2 If a team plays up they will still receive points toward their ranking in the provincial championship of the age class they re registered in Pts. earned while playing up can be transferred down for ranking in the age class the team is registered in However, 100pts will be removed from the total points earned when points earned from one tournament are transferred down for use towards provincial rankings in a lower age class

Rankings 3 Points cannot be transferred up Teams must participate in a minimum of two tournaments in the age category that they intend to compete in Provincial Championships Results must be submitted by tournament host no later than 12pm on the Wednesday following the tournament to volley.pc@sportmanitoba.ca All rankings are subject to final approval by the Competitions Committee

Ranking Scale Place Points 1 st 600 2 nd 540 3 rd 480 4 th 420 5 th 360 6 th 350 7 th 340 8 th 330 9 th 300 10 th 290 Place Points 11 th 280 12 th 270 13 th 240 14 th 230 15 th 220 16 th 210 17 th 180 18 th 170 19 th 160 20 th 150 If tournaments are not played in full, more than one team will receive identical point totals. Ex. If teams loose in the quarter final and don t play another game than 5 th -8 th place will each receive points for 5 th place (360pts)

Ranking Example Team X is registered at 15U and plays all but two of its tournaments at 15U Played UP in two 16U tournaments and came 1 st place in both Accumulated a total of 2000 ranking points between all 15U and 16U tournaments played Team X s 15U ranking points = 1800 2000 (100 x 2 16U Tournaments where earned pts have been transferred down) = 1800

Ranking Example Cont d For team X, every one (1) tournament played at 16U = 100pts subtracted from 15U ranking points Team X played two 16U tournaments therefore 200 points are subtracted from their total (2000) to find out their 15U ranking points (1800) Team X s 16U ranking points = 1200 2 first place finishes x 600 = 1200 Pts earned at 15U cannot be transferred up to 16U Since Team X played in two 16U tournaments they are eligible to play in 16U provs.
