XIV PAN AMERICAN MACABI GAMES- MÉXICO 2019 GOLF RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. ORGANIZATION 1.1 The sports committee is responsible for the Golf Tournaments of the XIV PAN MAERICAN MACCABI GAMES- MEXICO 2019. 1.2 The golf competitions will be held according to the rules and regulations of the United States Golf Association (USGA) and The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, Scotland (R&A), adopted by the Mexican Golf Federation (FMG), and endorsed by the Mexican Olympics Committee (COM). 1.3 The participation in the competitions is open to all athletes who are accredited with the credential granted by the Organizing Committee of the XIV PAN MAERICAN MACCABI GAMES- MEXICO 2019. All Participants must present and identify themselves before the tournaments at the registration table or starters. 1.4 The times for golf competitions will be determined by the sports committee and notified accordingly. The Sports Committee is authorized to modify the times of competition and their decisions are final. 2. REGISTRATION AND CATEGORIES 2.1 In each category there must be a minimum of 6 players, in the event that a category does not have the minimum number of players this category will be declared deserted and it will be up to the players to participate in the upper level category. In case of not having a superior category the case will be reviewed by the Sports Committee. 2.2 In TEAM competition there will only be 1 category and a maximum of 4 players will be considered per team, where the best 3 scores of 4 players will count for the team score each day. 2.3 Players who are 18 years old and up will participate in their respective categories. Players between the ages of 15 and 18 will participate in the junior category, in case of not meeting the minimum of 6 players in this category, then they will be allowed to compete in the Open category according to their handicap. 2.4 If the player is not on time for his tee-time, he or she will be penalized with a 2 stroke penalty and after 5 minutes they will be disqualified. Rule 6.3
2.5 No player can register under 2 categories, or another sport under any circumstance with the exception of the half marathon. 2.6 It is mandatory for each player to take his or her own caddie. Caddies will be provided by the Organizing Committee. IMPORTANT: ALL PLAYERS MUST REGISTER THEIR SCORE ON THEIR SCORECARD IN STROKE PLAY FORMAT AND THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE WILL MAKE THE STABLEFORD SCORING. 4. TIES 4.1 OPEN AND JUNIOR In the categories under OPEN and JUNIOR (Men and Women) ties for the gold medal will play sudden death on the hole designated by the Sports Committee. For tie break of the silver and or bronze medal in the OPEN and JUNIOR categories (Men and Women) Hole 16 (par 3) will be played. The first criteria for tie break being the score on the hole and in case of maintaining the tie, the second criteria of closest to the pin will be applied. 4.2 MASTERS In the categories under MASTERS (Men and Women) ties for the gold medal will play sudden death on the hole designated by the Sports Committee. For tie break of the silver and or bronze medal in the MASTERS categories (Men and Women) Hole 16 (par 3) will be played. The first criteria for tie break being the score on the hole and in case of maintaining the tie, the second criteria of closest to the pin will be applied. 4.3 TEAMS In the event of a tie between teams, the best round of each team during the last day will be taken into account, if the tie persists, the second best score card will be taken into account, continuing until there is a tie break.

JUDGES 6.1 There will be 2 marshals on the golf course.
7. GENERAL 7.1 These regulations are part of the General Regulations of the XIV PAN AMERICAN MACCABI GAMES- MEXIXO 2019 and must be read together with the instructions that apply to the regulations of each sport. 7.2 In case of there being discrepancies between the rules listed here and those that appear in the General Regulations, the regulations listed here will prevail. 7.3 The organizing committee of the XIV PAN AMERICAN MACCABI GAMES- MEXICO 2019, through their Sports Committee, is authorized to make changes or modifications that they consider pertinent in the technical bases of competition. 7.4 The cases not foreseen in these technical bases will be resolved by the Organizational Committee of the XIV PAN AMERICAN MACCABI GAMES- MEXICO 2019, through their Sports Committee.
