Munster Inter-county Football Tournaments Saturday, July 13 th 2013 JIM POWER U14 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT at Dungarvan, Co. Wateford HUMPHREY KELLEHER Fé 15 PEIL at Knocknagree, Dromtarriffe, Millstreet, Co. Cork MUNSTER U16 FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT at Rathkeale & Adare, Co. Limerick

On Saturday, July 13 th, the Cork Rebel Og Academy football squads at U14, U15 and U16 level, travel across Munster for the annual provincial tournaments. At U14 level, two panels of 24, under the banners of Cork West and Cork East will travel to Dungarvan, Co. Waterford for their first taste of inter-county action. Cork East includes players from Seandun, Imokilly, Avondhu and Duhallow, while Cork West features players from the four western divisions, namely Carbery, Berara, Carrigdhoun and Muskerry. The teams will be managed by Kevin O Donovan and James McCarthy, respectively. These players have come through a selection process over the last six months, attending divisional and regional trials and were among over 80 players invited to a training camp at the Old Mon fields at St. Vincent s, last week. In advance of the next academy camp in August, a county panel of 30 players is to be formed based on performances at the upcoming tournament. Meanwhile, it is proposed to also set up four / five regional panels who would play in competitive inter-regional tournaments during official academy dates. Mentors Mick Lucey, Dave Carroll, Brian Herlihy, Stephen Quinn, John Holly, Denis Lordan and John Magner will oversee both panels. Finally, the Cork U16 footballers will make the trip to Rathkeale in Limerick, again carrying two panels of 24, this time under the Cork and Corcaigh banners.
