Questioning the committee members/director s choice of judges shall be done through proper procedure: Contact committee member/director before the pageant, or an hour before coronation. Bring your concern in writing, with your signature. The committee will review the concern and make a decision as to how the committee will handle the situation. Their decision is final. If continuance of complaints occurs (considered harassment) after the pageant because of this decision (or no action is taken at appropriate time), the committee has the right to request removal of attendance of contestant/parents/acquaintances from current and future pageants. Judges are hired to judge; committee members/director give the judge s instructions on filling out the judging form. Contestant information provided to the judges is that on the applications only. The committee never has access to the questions that the judge will be asking during interview and horsemanship; questions are prepared by the judge, from the many questions that can be asked and found online, thus one person does not have an advantage over another. The committee will support and stand behind the judge s decision.

COACHING/Assistance to Contestants The pageant director and committee members are here to help you on this journey and make this the best possible experience for all contestants. The director and members will also help you the day of the pageant, answering questions, fixing hair and makeup, tack, holding your horse, clothing, etc., but you need to request this assistance. Reminder - the lack of preparation cannot be fixed the day of the pageant! If a member/director agrees to coach one contestant they must be open to coach all contestants who contact and set up an appointment for coaching. HORSEMANSHIP Horses will be provided for the Queen and Jr. Queen contestants during the horsemanship competition and judged rodeo performance.
