Monday Junior Warhammer Club with Mr Sayer Maximum number: 10 Warhammer is the world's leading tabletop game. Players battle using miniature models and practise their Maths skills by adding up dice rolls. We will focus on Warhammer 40,000 which sees different armies fight against each other for control of the galaxy. In the club, pupils will assemble, paint and play with the models. There will also be opportunities to create and paint scenery for use in the battles. Cost: 85 per term (12 weeks) or 12 with ASCAPS Junior Colouring Club with Mrs Wynne There are some amazing new designs for the children to colour and a range of giant dot to dot puzzles and pictures to be discovered. Cost: 6.10 per session or no charge with ASCAPS Ballet & Tap Y3 & Y 4 Minimum 10 Maximum 20 Encouraging children to use their imagination while learning basic ballet & tap skills based on the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) syllabus. Developing ballet and tap techniques, co-ordination, musicality, balance, posture and rhythm. This will be a regular club, eventually leading to examinations. Children will need to wear black plimsolls for the first few sessions, but will then need to buy appropriate clothing (please see list overleaf). Due to the uniform requirement for this hobby, priority will be given to those previously registered. Cost: 109 per term (12 weeks) or 36 with ASCAPS Badminton with Mrs Bridgstock Maximum number: 12 This fun and exciting racket sport for ALL will help develop your hand eye coordination and introduce you to a variety of new strokes, techniques, and fun tactical and competitive games. A great game for all levels of player. Cost: 109 per term (12 weeks) or 36 per term with ASCAPS. Chess Hobby with Mr Willis A fun game that is played throughout the world. It is a game that develops good strategic thinking and forward planning, both necessary skills that can help in later life. Senior Science with Mr Wilkinson Lots of experiments in the Lab which may get a bit messy...boilersuits essential! (ASCAPS After School Care Advance Payment Scheme)

Pike Fishing Club with Mr Crossley and Mr Edwards This club will run until half-term only due to light restriction beyond that point. The children will learn how to fish for pike understanding techniques and habitat in particular. For the most part we will be using the School s stretch of the River Wensum in addition to Taverham Lakes. Importantly, you will need to be more than fair weather anglers given the weather will be very different to the Summer Term and therefore warm clothing and waterproofs will be essential. Fishing equipment would be desirable but not essential. Please note the later finish time of 18:30 Cost: 9.15 per session or 3.05 per session with ASCAPS (6 weeks) Hockey with Mr Martin All levels welcome. Practise and learn new skills and play games. Tuesday Hama Bead Hobby with Mrs Rust Create designs and patterns from Hama Beads - choose your particular design or use your own imagination! Select a pegboard and choice of coloured beads and away you go! It s as simple as that. Table Tennis with Mr George Luong and Maximum number: 12 Learn correct technique, the tactics and practise playing against opponents, George and even the ball machine. Cost: 109 per term (12 weeks) or 36 with ASCAPS. Netball Club with Mrs Hood and Come and work on your netball footwork, passing and shooting skills as part of our pre-season training, and prepare for Spring term 2018! Card Games with Mrs Hambidge There are numerous card games that are entertaining and develop skills such as turn taking and manual dexterity. As time progresses and games become more complex you will need to draw on your maths skills, memory and strategic thinking. Drama Production Rehearsals (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) CAST ONLY Rehearsal schedule to follow. Y6 to Y8 Model Club with Mr Forsey Maximum number: 8 Build realistic model kits (including radio controlled kits) that represent real vehicles and machines. You are welcome to bring your own motorised or static kits to build during the sessions and you ll learn how to use basic workshop tools and paints to finish your models. Cost: 94 per term (12 weeks) or 20 with ASCAPS. Wednesday After School Club Cost: 6.10 per session or no charge with ASCAPS. Part of the School day included in the termly fee. Thursday Junior Supported Prep with Mrs Hearn Maximum number: 6 An enjoyable Junior Prep session in which Mrs Hearn will be on hand to assist Year 3 and 4 pupils with their prep. Where possible school resources will be used to support the children's learning. Junior STEM Club with Mrs Hamilton Maximum number: 10 STEM club is open to children who wish to take part in a practical science hobby that will work towards accreditation. Launched in 2007, CREST SuperStar Awards are usually completed by 7-11 year olds. They are well regarded, high quality and a tangible recognition of success. CREST SuperStar supports children to solve real-life science, technology, engineering and maths challenges through practical investigation and discussion, giving them the chance to participate in hands-on science through enquiry-based learning. Cheerleading with Norfolk Cheer Athletics and Minimum number: 10 Maximum number: 15 All-star cheerleading combines stunting, gymnastics, jumps and dance. It helps build self-esteem and promotes self-discipline, team work and commitment. This hobby welcomes boys and girls, places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. Cost: 121 per term (12 weeks) or 48 with ASCAPS. Tennis with Mr Stocker and Maximum number: 12 From novice to professional the tennis coaching team will help develop your child s tennis skills, serving and match play. Cost: 121 per term (12 weeks) or 48 with ASCAPS. Football with Community Sports Foundation and Minimum number: 12 Maximum number: 18 For football enthusiasts, this hobby aims to develop football skills and game play in a range of competitive and skills-based sessions. Run by external, qualified coaches. Cost: 109 per term (12 weeks) or 36 with ASCAPS. Rock Band Hobby with Mr Hamilton Maximum number: 6 Rock Band Hobby is for competent musicians willing to learn a piece of music in their own time. Numbers may be limited and priority will be given to those who learn an instrument at school.

Woodland Fun with Mr Hyatt Y6 to Y8 An extension of some of the activities covered in Forest School. Children will have an opportunity to explore the woods, build dens, play games and learn some elements of bushcraft skills. This club will run until half-term only due to light restriction beyond that point. English with Mr Hyatt Y7 & Y8 This club will run after half-term only An opportunity to hone some of the skills required for pupils aspiring towards academic scholarships or for those simply looking to improve and practise extension activities within the subject. Cricket with Mr Findlay Y7 & Y8 Maximum number: 12 This is an ideal opportunity to fine tune your technique in the winter months, in preparation for the 2018 cricket season. This hobby will be based around improving the technical skills of batting, bowling, and fielding, as well as enjoying some fun practice and games. Year 8 CE & Scholarship Maths with Mr Wood Y8 only This hobby is for Year 8 pupils only. Further enquiries to Mr Wood please. Friday Junior Fun Swim Session Maximum Number: 15 This will be an activity for any children wanting to have fun in the pool. Cost: 80 per term (10 weeks) or 20 with ASCAPS This hobby will not run on Friday 1 December due to the Festive Fair. Junior Lego Club Create a pre-designed model or release your inner builder and make something completely unique.

Prep School Hobbies Autumn Term 2017 Please indicate which hobby you would like your child to participate in by ticking the appropriate box on the Booking Form. Costs quoted in the brochure are based on a 15:40/16:40 finish and are shown with and without ASCAPS (After School Care Advance Payment Scheme). Hobbies will commence on Monday 11 September 2017 and finish on Thursday 14 December with exceptions where stated. For termly hobbies your child will be expected to commit to the hobby for the whole term. If your child does not attend a hobby for any reason or chooses to cancel the hobby part way through the term NO refund will be given in respect of any missed sessions. Please be advised that hobbies will only run if there are sufficient numbers. Please find the Booking Form on inside front cover. Please return this Form to the School Office, or alternatively email the Form to enquire@taverhamhall.co.uk no later than: FRIDAY 7 JULY 2017 Bookings received after this date CANNOT secure a place for week commencing 11 September or the remainder of the term.
