TV Series Review Age 12 1/2 Rollicking Review & Age 9 & Age 12 Hey! This is Connor and Riley. We are going to talk about the Coaster Capital of the world, Cedar Point. The park has ten thrill roller coasters, but we will tell you about our two favorites! *Connor here, to tell you about: Millennium Force # 1...it has the highest drop in the park # 2...It goes so fast you are lifted from you seat for most of the ride. # 3...it is so crazy awesome it was on Xtreme Coaster on the travel channel, winning, Best Coaster in the U.S. *Riley here, to tell you about: Top Thrill Dragster If you want to be shot out like a plane on an aircraft carrier, this coaster is for you! The ride shoots you 120 mph in 3.8 seconds, up a four hundred twenty foot hill, then back down the hill in seventeen seconds. The best part is sometimes it will not make it up the hill and rolls back. I really like the racing theme. The hill was so high, that you could see the entire town of Sandusky. The speed was incredible. I was a little nervous at first, but once I went on the ride, it was awesome. If you go to Cedar Point, this is the one ride you can t miss. I hope you guys are as almost excited as I am for the eighth season of Doctor Who. If you don t know what Doctor Who is...already you are in luck! I will tell you all about the adventures of the time traveling Doctor and his TARDIS. The first question that popped in your head is What is TARDIS? TARDIS stands for TIME and REVELAVNT DEMENSION in SPACE. The TARDIS is a time machine disguised as an old phone booth. You could go anywhere in the TARDIS, even Pompeii, 79 A.D. You are also wondering about who the Doctor is. The Doctor is an alien from the Planet Gallifrey. He has two hearts, a sonic screwdriver and got to choose his own name. Whenever the Doctor dies he can regenerate! Sometimes the Doctor travels with a companion. The companion changes every couple of seasons. The Doctor and his companion fight off other aliens (for example, Daleks). Sometimes to help the Doctor, he has a sonic screwdriver that can reverse time and open a locked door, or open a door without a key. Overall, Doctor Who is my favorite TV show in the universe. It is really entertaining. I recommend it to anyone who lives for Sci. Fi., fiction and science. If you are interested in watching Doctor Who, it is on channel BBC America. Happy viewing! I hope you will like Doctor Who as much as I do. 3
Story Age 12 Traveling west towards Yellowstone National Park was a vacation to remember. There were so many memorable moments. The top four highlights of my trip were climbing Mt Washburn in Yellowstone, white water rafting in Montana, hiking to a hidden falls in the Grand Tetons, experiencing local wildlife. Hiking up Mt. Washburn was harder than I thought it would be. My family summited the 10,243 mile mountain. My 6 year old sister even made it to the top! We were in awe of the vast valley and clouds surrounding us. As we headed down, rounding the corner, a mountain goat appeared before us, almost posing for the camera. Driving back the buffalos were so close to the car! One male buffalo seemed annoyed my Dad s imitation of a buffalo call. You could say the buffalo has a bison-attitude! On the last day at Yellowstone, we headed north towards the white-water rafting in Montana. It was extremely fun when I got to ride the bull in the front of the boat. There was even a part of the river where we could jump in and swim. It was refreshing after an hour of hot sun beaming down on my back. Hiking at the Grand Teton was even more beautiful than Mt. Washburn, though it was a longer hike. At a steady pace we climbed up. When we stopped our eyes went straight towards the rushing waterfall that was leaping down the side of the mountain. It was breathtaking at the inspiration point looking out to Jenny Lake. One of the highlights of this hike was the golden-mantled ground squirrels. They would come scurrying around really close to you, looking for food one even touched me! (They look just like chipmunks.) We also saw an animal called the Pika, a relative of the rabbit. It was so cute! Finally, we rested at a beaver dammed, bubbling stream. Looking closely, my brother spotted some trout. Getting out his fishing gear, he caught two trout! Even better, I caught a trout too. I was so happy!! Before we left our campsite I was able to see the beach and the Teton peaks in the background. They were so stunning it took my breath away. I enjoyed experiencing all the falls and wildlife of Yellowstone, along with the peaks and lakes of Grand Teton National Park. Someday I want to go back with my own family so they can experience it too. Untamed West Art Age 12 4

Story and Art Age 9 Once upon a time, there was a girl named Lilly. She was eight years old. When she was bored from doing her homework she would play with her pencils. The pencils were people and families in her imagination. One night she wished upon a star, and her wish was that her pencils would come to life! The next day when she was at school, her teacher, said that the class would write a puppet show. It was going to be about Fall. After lunch, the class started to work on the puppet show. It was Lilly and two of her friends job to write the script. Another group mad the fall scenes, while the last group made the puppets. At the end of the day, the class was almost finished. The teacher told them to leave it all and finish tomorrow. That night her wish came true. All of Lilly s pencils came to life! They started playing in the scene that the kids left out. One of the pencils woke up the rest of the pencils that were lying out on the desks. They had fun and made homes from scraps and glue that were lying around. Their houses were hidden from the people and any class pets. The next morning the class started working on the puppet show. Lilly went to tell the teacher that their glue was gone. On her way to the teachers desk she fell over something. It was an empty bottle of glue. She found a trail of glue that led her to piles of scraps. She was about to pick up the scraps and a pencil walked out of one of the scrap piles! She was amazed and realized that her wish had come true! That s when she heard the pencil say, Hello. She was surprised and said, Who are you? I am Emily, one of your pencils, she said. Please, don t tell anyone about us, or where our homes are. Lilly agreed, then asked her teacher for more glue. Before Lilly left for the day, she walked to the front corner of the classroom, where she had see the houses of scraps. She saw Emily and ten other pencils. She asked Emily, Where did all the pencils come from? Emily replied, We woke up all the pencils we could find, made houses, and played in the forest of Fall trees. Lilly said, That is a scene for our puppet show. Emily was surprised because it looked like a real forest. Lilly asked if she could help with anything. Emily thought about her offer and said, Well...you could take us home with you, she said. Let me think about it. Lilly left for home and the pencils all came out to play in the forest again. On Monday, Lilly had decided what she was going to do with the pencils. After the puppet show, Lilly told Emily that she and her family could come home with her. When Emily, told her family about, Lilly taking them home they were excited. Lilly was very excited too. She took off her backpack so all the pencils could climb in. They lived happily ever after in their new home together. 6

When we got to the stadium it was huge. We took two escalators and finally we got to our seats. Then we went to this fun place, where you can run from one base to another, while it times you. After that we were hungry and we go healthy kids meals. My dad had a foot long hot dog. At the first inning, Sox hit a homerun and there were fireworks because of that. Unfortunately they lost 5 to 1, but I had fun with my family. 7
Guardians of the Galaxy Age 9 Hey, this is Connor and I will tell you about the movie, Guardians of the Galaxy. It was funny, awesome and Grooty. Groot is the giant tree man and Rocket Raccoon s sidekick! Rocket Raccoon is funny and sassy. He has a bunch of guns, blasters and tazers plus he knows how to make bombs. Gamord is a master assassin, being the daughter of Thanos and a living weapon. Drax was taken from the Nova prison. Drax s family were killed Thanos, so he takes his anger out fighting. Last but not least, Star Lord is my favorite of them all. He is a human, funny and sarcastic, who comes from earth. So not to spoil the movie that s all. Pokemon of Unova Art Age 9 Owl Art Age 12 Katy Perry Prism Concert Age 12 Hi, this is Riley! I had the chance to go to Katy Perry Prism concert. It was great! My favorite song Firework, because each audience member got a pair of glasses called Prism Vision, which made everything a rainbow. My favorite dress, was her first dress, which glowed in the dark. She changed costumes at least ten times! The best part was when Katy was talking to fans near the stage, while randomly taking selfies with them. The stage was set up like a prism. It lifted up for her entrance and it lit up. Her show lasted s little over two hours. It was AMAZING! 8
