Instructins fr use High Flw Oxygen Therapy Fitting guide AquaNASE 1. Select crrect size f AquaNASE prngs 2. Apply AquaNASE and secure neck strap as shwn 3. Insert humidificatin chamber nt heater plate and spike water bag. Cnnect heater cable and temperature prbes 6. Turn n heater and select NIV mde 7. Set flw at 1l/min and select prescribed FiO 2 fr 2 minutes 8. Increase flw t 30l/min and mnitr PaO 2, Step 1 Fit the lped neck supprt strap by placing ver patients head and sliding dwn arund the neck as shwn. 4. Attach circuit as shwn a-d SpO 2 and respiratry rate 21% Step 2 Adjust the lped neck supprt strap by pulling ne strap thrugh the clamp as shwn. 8 7 1 4a Step 3 Place the elasticated strap arund the patients head. 2 4d 4c 4b 3 Step 4 Adjust the ends f the elasticated strap t secure the device. 6 4

Cnnect heater cable and temperature prbes sizing gauge, DO NOT APPLY MASK UNTIL 6. Set flw at 40l/min and select prescribed FiO 2 gauge, DO NOT APPLY MASK UNTIL POINT 8. Turn n heater and select NIV mde POINT 7 7. Apply mask as per IFU 2. Insert humidificatin chamber nt heater 6. Select mde f ventilatin as prescribed 2. Insert humidificatin chamber nt heater 8. Cnnect breathing circuit t mask plate and spike water bag 7. Apply mask as per IFU plate and spike water bag 9. Adjust flw t achieve CPAP, cnfirmed by 3. Attach circuit as shwn a-d 8. Cnnect breathing circuit t mask, ensure CO 2 3. Attach circuit as shwn a-f manmeter reading 4. Fitting guide Step 1 Use sizing gauge t select apprpriate size f mask. Place gauge tip t the bridge f patient s nse. Align chin t scale t indicate crrect size fr patient. If in between 2 sizes, use smaller size fr a better fit. V2 TM Face Mask Step Adjust tp and bttm velcr straps by pulling slightly t hld the mask in place. Adjust the straps at the crwn f the head t create a secure, cmfrtable fit. Step 2 Remve mask frm packaging and release the bttm tw quick release strap clips. Label shuld be facing utwards and readable. Step 6 Mask and headgear shuld lk like this when fitted crrectly n patient. Step 3 Place patient s chin in chin cup and gently rll mask up t cver muth and create a seal ver the bridge f the nse. Step 7 T remve the mask, discnnect the bttm strap clips and lift the mask away and up frm the patient s face. Step 4 Slide headgear ver patient s head and recnnect bttm strap clips. 8 9
MAXBlend TM Oxygen sensr calibratin prcedure Heater setup Heater Functin Indicatrs MAXBlend TM shuld be calibrated befre its first clinical use. Thereafter, the manufacturer, Maxtec Inc, recmmends weekly calibratin. Optin 1. (Based n MAXBlend TM peratr manual) Cnnect the xygen supply line (pressure alarm will sund). Verify that the xygen sensr is lcated in the sensr prt and cnnected t the sensr cable. D nt cnnect medical air supply line at this time. Using the ON/OFF key, ensure MAXBlend TM is pwered n. Red lights will flash t indicate warning. An alam will sund t alert a user t a fault. SEE MANUAL Serv Cntrl Green lights will flash t indicate: - Nn-Invasive mde - Invasive mde - Heater plate active. Rtate the FiO 2 cntrl t 100%. Allw tw minutes fr the reading t stabilise. Unlck the screen. Press the CAL key ; the text CAL will be displayed at the tp f the screen mmentarily, fllwed by a T unlck the frnt panel T lck the frnt panel flashing % icn. Press the r key t adjust the display O 2 After the value is set, press the CAT r LOCK keys t return t nrmal peratin. SEE MANUAL UNL.K Serv Cntrl Press and hld fr 3 secs t unlck fr 60 secs. UNL.K will appear in the display. Change between Invasive and Nn-invasive SEE MANUAL LOCK Serv Cntrl Invasive mde display Press and hld fr 3 secs t unlck fr 60 secs. LOCK will appear in the display. Nn-invasive mde display Optin 2. (Based n MAXBlend TM peratr manual) Alternatively, MAXBlend TM can be quickly calibrated t rm air (20.9%) using a shrtcut cmmand. This functin saves time by setting the calibratin valve t 20.9% withut scrlling the display. T use this functin: SEE MANUAL Serv Cntrl Press and hld fr 3 secs t unlck fr 60 secs. T view patient airway temperature SEE MANUAL C37.0 SEE MANUAL C31.0 Serv Cntrl Chamber 37⁰C Patient 40⁰C Serv Cntrl Chamber 31⁰C Patient 34⁰C Suspend the xygen sensr in rm air. Press the LOCK key t unlck the keypad. Press and hld dwn the CAL key. When the % sign starts t flash, press the key t set the calibratin value t 20.9% Release bth the CAL key and the key. The unit will autmatically enter the LOCKED cnditin and return t nrmal peratin. SEE MANUAL UNL.K Press and hld fr 3 secs SEE MANUAL A40.0 t unlck fr 60 secs. UNL.K will appear in the Serv Cntrl Serv Cntrl display. Serv Cntrl Ensure the heater is un-lcked, t view heater plate and chamber temperature, cntinue t press and release the SEE MANUAL H 9 functin buttn. This SEE MANUAL C 37 will enable yu t scrll thrugh the varius temperature displays. Serv Cntrl After secs press and release t display patient airway temperature. Repeat t display heater plate and chamber temperature. T lck display n a reading, press and hld the functin fr 3 secs t lck the screen. 10 11
