Friday will be Cattle only and a small fee will be assessed. Please Call for Appointments. On Saturday we will be clipping swine, lamb, and goat projects from 9-12. Do not bring any cattle this day! Clippers will be available to check out as well for you to do your own. Meat Pen Rabbits TNLS Tattooing 4-H Rabbit Project Members that need their rabbits tattooed for Trinity Neches will need to bring rabbits to the AgriLife Extenion room from 6pm-7:30pm on Friday March 25th. TNLS Home Economics: Arts, Crafts, Food & Horticulture New rules in for the Trinity Neches Home Economics Division Please Read!! ** All Grand Champions in Each Division will have the option to Sale at the Friday sale. All exhibitors who placed for their sale in the food division must provide two items that are fresh on the day of the sale. One for the sale and for they buyer. The item will need to be in a decorative container for presentation to the buyer** This is a great opportunity for those who are not exhibiting livestock and looking to participate in the TNLS. TNLS Rodeo Sweetheart and Team Named Lets Congratulate the following 4-H members as they will represent the 4-H Rodeo Team at this years TNLS Rodeo. Results are : Steer Riding- Cade Sutherland from Big Sandy 4- H, Rescue Race- Brooke Thomas and Cameron Thomas from Livingston 4-H, Poles and Barrels-Katelyn Vestal from Livingston 4-H, and Straight Away Barrels- Kenzi Leggett from Livingston 4-H will be the 4-H Sweetheart. Lets cheer them on as they practice for the end of March. No Pass No Play for Trinity- Neches Livestock Show 4-H members should keep their grades up in order to be eligible by U.I.L. rules to participate in extracurricular activities. 4-H members must pass the six weeks prior to the Trinity-Neches Livestock Show in order to be considered eligible to show your animal. P A G E 2 Buyer Contracts Parents and 4-H members may start picking up Buyer s Contracts for your prospective buyers at this year s show. Buyers for each animal should have a completed buyers contract turned in prior to the sale on Friday night of the Livestock Show. TNLS Buyers Dinner Prior to the auction held on Friday night, April 1, 2011 there will be a dinner to honor the buyers for the TNLS. We will need 4-H members to help provide desserts for this dinner. Cookies, Cakes, pies, Ect, will be accepted. Please make sure they are delivered to the Arena by 5 pm. Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will take place March 1st 20th. Our National 4-H HLSR Beef Quiz Bowl Invitational Team Cara Leslie, Sterling Brodie, Alyssa Gilbert & Alex Hicks will participate as our Polk County Beef Quiz Bowl team on March 2, 2011. Polk County Needs our Help!!! Come Clean Lake Livingston is an area wide event that focuses on two goals: Cleaning up Lake Livingston and its surrounding lake front areas Bringing to the communities surrounding the lake an awareness of the importance of keeping Lake Livingston clean The main event is a lake-wide clean up on the morning of April 2, 2011. Teams of volunteers led by community and organization leaders will clean up designated areas around Lake Livingston, while another team of expert volunteers will be on the lake itself cleaning problem areas by boat and barge. After the morning clean-up session all volunteers will gather at the Onalaska Fire Hall at 2:30 p.m. to be thanked with lunch, a Come Clean Lake Livingston t- shirt, and a brief program. Another important element of this effort is a month-long campaign to educate and create awareness around the health and beauty of our greatest local natural resource: Lake Livingston.
