The Bobcats most recent regular season loss was Oct. 23, 2015 to Clinton (36-18). The Bobcats have also won 14 consecutive TCC games entering tonight s league opener. SCORING RECORD Whiteford set a school record for points in a quarter (44) and half (57) on August 31 in a 64-0 win over Stryker, Ohio. The Panthers are in their first season of varsity football since the 1930s. It s losses have come to Clinton (8-0 at the time and Division 6 state finalist that season), Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes (12-0 at the time and Division 8 state finalist that season) and Muskegon Catholic Central in the Division 8 state finals (13-0 at the time). Whiteford starting quarterback Ty Eitniear (senior) is making his third career start at QB. In his first two games, he is 4-for-7 for 107 yards and three touchdowns. His TDs have gone to three different receivers: Zack Bertz, Hunter Lake and Braydn Clark-Gilmore. Bobcat Notebook Logan Murphy s streak of seven consecutive 100-yard rushing games came to an end in Week 2. However, he extended his streak of scoring a touchdown to 15 straight games. Murphy scored on a 43-yard run in his only carry of the game vs. Stryker. Hunter Lake s two interception returns for touchdowns in Week 2 was Whiteford s first defensive touchdowns scored since 2015. Whiteford and Summerfield have met in both the regular season and the MHSAA playoffs for each of the past three seasons. Whiteford has won all three playoff meetings between the two schools.
