Qualifying Status: LIMHE will be submitted to NAMHSA to become a NAN qualifier for the next 4 year NAN cycle. LIMHE is a Region X Championship Show qualifier. LIMHE will also be submitted to Breyer for their Live Show Benefit Program. Raffle: LIMHE will have a raffle each day as well as a few two day raffle items. Winners need not be present to win, but must pay shipping on any prizes they win. Donations of models, services and related items are most welcome. Halter Divisions Rules: All classes are open to all scales. All classes are a limit of three models per shower, all divisions. Buy Ins are limited to 2 models per shower per class. Standard $1 each Buy In, due at time of entry. The judges and the show holder reserve the right to split, combine and cancel classes as needed. All judges decisions are final, if you have any questions about a placing, please ask the judge right after the class has finished. Each model is allowed one class for the day be it a Breed class or a Collectiblity class, and may show in ONLY one division. If your model does not place in its class, please do not change its Breed to show it in an additional class or try to show it in an other division. For all divisions, if you are unsure what breed class or even what division your model belongs in, ask the judge or show holder prior to the start of the show. Standard Original Finish Divison: All classes in this division are double judged, for Breed as well as Collectiblity. Models must be Regular Runs, or Limited Runs of 351 or more. In addition they must have been produced by the manufacturer as a realistic color, even if by today's standards they are not. For example the Breyer Red Roan was done as a realistic color in it's era and not as a decorator so it would show in this division. No realistically colored Peter Stone models may show in this division as they have their own. Collectibility Original Finish Division: Collectiblity Division is single judged for collectibitly only and open to all makes. Please note when it says Unrealistic color it means colors that were designed to be decorator or unrealistic by the manufacturer at that time. It DOES NOT mean colors that the manufacturer meant to be realistic but are not by today s standards. Modern means anything after 1975. Stone Horses Original Finish Division: Open to all original finish realistically colored Peter Stone models, any decorator or un-realistically colored or Fantasy Stones are to be shown in the Collectibility Original Finish Division. All Stone classes will be double judged on Breed and Collectiblity (workmanship in some cases maybe used in addition to or instead of collectiblity if need be). For all three Original Finish Plastic Divisons - to be judged for Collectiblity you MUST have documentation, which includes such things as year made, regular run, limited edition, quantity made, CoA's and the like. All Fantasy classes are JUST judged on Collectiblity or workmanship, depending upon division. For OF they are in the Collectibility Division, in all others they are in the Other Breed Sections. Custom and Artist Resin by Owner Classes: Custom classes are open to models created and finished by the owner. Artist Resin classes are open to all resins that are finished in total by their owner, no work done by an outside source. Artist should not have won any overall championships or sell their work. LIMHE Page 2
Collectors Class will be held first thing in the morning. Please be prepared to set up right away. They shall be set up in the Collectiblity rings. There will be two classes - Variety and Themed. They are open to all finishes. Each set up should have between 6 and 8 horses. Class will be judged on overall presentation as well as models used. For original finish models documentation and condition shall be taken into account. For artist resins and customs entries workmanship will be considered. Special prizes to first and possibly second in each class as well as commercial rosettes. Call Backs: All first and second place finishes from each class in each section will be called back for the Champion/Reserve of that section. All Champion and Reserves will then be called back at the end of the show for the Over All Champions of their Divisions, with each having a separate Overall. i.e. Breed, Workmanship etc. *UK includes Britain, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales ** Includes such things as Unicorns, Pegasus, Carousel Horses etc. +Covers TB/Standardbred/Warmblood as well as Carriage and Sport breeds. ^ Open to Gold, blue, and the like, solid body color. ^^Open to Gold, Blue, Black and the like, dappled body color. All classes must have 2 or more entries to be judged. Any classes with less will be canceled and your model can be placed in the Other Purebred Class at the end of your section. Performance Division Rules: All classes are open to all scales. Original Finish is open to factory finished models, all makes, and CM/AR is open to customs done on any manufacturer and finished Artist Resins. Class Limits: All classes are a limit of TWO models per shower. Due to limited judging space, LIMHE will be following the NAMHSA guidelines with the maximum size of any set up being 18" x 30". In harness, exceptions shall be made for oversize hitches. Time Limits Between Classes: A timer will be used between classes if need be, again due to the amount of judging tables LIMHE has available we will not necessarily be able to be setting up one class while another is being judged, in that case you shall have 10 minutes between classes. If we are able to utilize other rings between a class then you shall have 5 minutes between classes which shall be announced when the class is called. Champions: All Champions shall be done by call back of all first and second place finishers of each class in each section. Judges discretion to use straight points or merit. Versatility Champion and Reserve shall be chosen by points, showers must keep track of their horses placing's and present the model and all ribbons won when called up for this award. As always the judges and the show holder reserve the right to split, combine and cancel classes as needed. All judges decisions are final, if you have any questions about a placing, please ask the judge right after the class has finished. The show holder, judges and the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County can not be held responsible for any loss, damage, theft or injury to participants, their property, or their guests. Un-sportsmen like conduct will not be tolerated. LIMHE Page 3

Long Island Model Horse Expo - Addendum Proxy Showing: Proxies are welcome. Pricing is as follows - base cost of $5 plus $2 per horse. Proxy Shower must be a paid entrant for the day they are proxying horses in. All proxy horses must fit on proxy showers table. Ribbon Recycling: LIMHE will be doing ribbon recycling. If you wish to recycle your ribbons to help keep cost down for future shows (or you just do not want em) you are more than welcome to turn them back in. A box shall be on the main table for you to place any ribbons you want to turn in. Lunch: We will be offering a "catered" lunch both days. Cost is $5 per person, open to both showers and their guest. Food shall consist of cold cuts, rolls, salad, macaroni salad, coleslaw, hot soup and possibly other dishes. Desert and water will be included. If you wish something else to drink, please feel free to bring it. More information will be available the week of the show and you may pay show day if you wish. You are more than welcome to bring your own food, there are no restrictions for the hall in regards to that. There is a small fridge but it also has GSSC Camp supplies in it so space is limited. While the nearest classic fast food is about 10 minute drive (aka Burger King) we have a ton of local pizza, Chinese and deli's in the area that deliver or can be gotten to in five minutes. Hotels: Due to Islip MacArthur Airport being in my backyard so to speak we have many nice hotels in the area. If there is a certain hotel you wish me to check out for you let me know. Most of them are located on Veterans Highway, by the airport, Most are a 15 to 20 minute drive depending upon lights. The following are all hotels that folks have stayed at and been happy with we have more, some to stay away from so ask first if not using these - Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, Ronkonkoma, 3845 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Ronkonkoma, NY, 11779, United States of America, 888-950-5062 La Quinta Inn & Suites Islip - MacArthur Airport, Bohemia10 Aero Rd, Bohemia, NY, 11716, United States of America, Hotels.com Expert: 855-238-1593 Rodeway Inn Macarthur Airport, Ronkonkoma3055 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Ronkonkoma, NY, 11779, United States of America, 888-950-5062 Again any questions or need me to check something yell! Ferries: My preferred method of getting back onto the Island from New England. Unless you are coming in on Friday the Ferries do not run early enough to get to the show hall on time but do make it easy to get home. There are two, The Port Jefferson Steamboat which comes in at Bridgeport CT, website here - https://www.88844ferry.com/default.aspx. While you need to buy your tickets in advance, Port Jeff has a ticketing machine at the dock. The other one is the Cross Sound Ferry, which is out of New London, CT and comes in at Orient Point, LI. They advertise some great rates, but those are only limited times and days. Their site - https://www.longislandferry.com/ Both need reservations made in advance. I have made my Port Jeff reservation and shown up early and gotten on the boat. Questions, comments or concerns, please contact me ASAP! LIMHE Page 7
