To all my past relationships, You gave me the will to sail on my own. To my love, you are the one I would withstand any rough waters with. 5

Rapunzel in a Light House People speak of towers and damsels hair full of flowers, Rarity the mind wanders to the a tower that sits at the edge of the abyssal sea, the maiden that sits and searches for one fit for she. Locked away searching yet blind, only wanting what she thinks she deserves to find. An able seaman to whom the seas are no match, and the currents never catch. Tucked away in her tower, the light searches through, the one she knows even if she cant see who. With knotted rope you climb her expectation s instead of the winding stairs, never she imagine them together, such an unlikely pair. 6

Without a thought, that her heart could get caught in the sailor s ever knotted heart that mate might belay her own heart Extinguish the light and a beacon of hope descend down his knotted rope He takes her hand, pulling her down the sand. 7

8

Dock waking up early in anticipation cool breeze send shivers the sun has not opened her eyes, Though you feel her warmth sink into your heart his hand tightens around your fingers, knotted he pulls you towards her she sways back and forth inviting us closer be careful not to loose your footing the fall into the cold water will ache you leap unto her bow his arms surround you sailing is easier with two 9

10

Smoothing Sailing Push Back Right Up Me Don t fight the current Let them sometimes win Compromise is key There will always be times of struggle We must give and take to be Pull Forth Wrong Down You Together. 11

12

Swaying Wind pulls and pushes us Rumors cloud and derange us Rainstorms pour and drown us Pettiness come and enrage us Sharks swim and frighten us We will not capsize We will not listen We will not let go We will not give in We will not let them We let it sink in We encourage them We surround ourselves We welcome them We let love seep in Sunshine shines and warms us Compliments motivate and empower us Sand creates and inspires us Kisses love and reassure us Water invites and soothes us 13

14

Your gleaming blue oceans You sit there, focused distraction of waves thrashing our stern. You lose yourself drowning in it, shimmering like sun reflected liquid. My eyes glance over every inch of your face, memorizing every wave, dip and curve. Your smile curves towards the stars like a magnet pulling you towards the heavens where you belong. My stare is miles away from your existence. You turn focus and hone it on my discernible stare. My heart leaps, I pull my eyes away. Like a receding tide, the caress of your hand anchors me back, gleaming with intensity that is mirrored through my own. Gentleness seeps through our kiss. Our hearts entwine again. 15

Losing Big dipper Together we saw the right way back The beacon of light guiding us to the future Our magnetic course seemed to fit The fog of rose from the depths of miscommunication Wind picking up Sailing blind into the storm on the horizon 16

Blaming one another silently Fixating on what should have been done Never checking the safety lines Never shaking down the foundation of the argument The fog rose, never one bolstering on our promise The sea ebbed back and forth more rapidly now...as the hurricane is almost upon us 17

18

Hurricane Hearts Harsh winds swirl around our unintentional regret. Pulsating pressure of coursing currents, Confusion spins the helm of our ship. Pain penetrates and panic fills our cavern, disillusioned accusations shatter our stern. Lies crack bend and break our sails. Ropes loosen and trap us in our dishonesty. Debris crashes into us, causing hurricanes to assist in our destructive never-ending battle. 19

Meg Kelleher 20

Sinking ship Screaming tsunamis of silence that never end vacant I love you as we drift, asleep never ending voicemails of where are you shards of broken dreams scatter all over the linoleum deck collected puddles on the shores of my eyelids lead lines derailed by suspicion in the foggy minds of jealousy you sit next to me talking, we both never say anything 21

22

Hadalpelagic Zone You pull me down, Lungs fill with sodium. Affection anchors me further. Depths light has never touched, creep into my concentration. Your pressure hurts my ears and my thoughts; release your knotted grip from my heart 23

24

Washed up ship wrecked The sand coated every inch of my scared skin Your torn edges cut me and left me forsaken Stretching out toward land The stern of the ship lay in pieces at my fingertips Its over What I thought was the perfect sail quickly turned the tide My mind melts; my tears wash away the crushed shells Breathe Shake off his hold, still a tight bunting knot Bolster your heart; the brig is in splinters Open your eyes 25

Meg Kelleher 26

The sun will rise again I sit here... On the edge of the calm sea I sit here... Hesitation possesses me in the sand I stand here... Watching the tide reach out to me I stand here... My feet surround with the cool blanket of seawater I float here... The sway of the current lulls me I float here... Satisfied with my own love 27
