SECTION 3 STUD CATTLE (cont d) A Trophy has been donated by Bruce Scott MP, Member for Maranoa, for Competition in Stud Beef cattle at the following Shows: Taroom, Wandoan, Miles and Chinchilla. Points will be allocated in each class to competing Studs at each show. Every Breeder must have competition in a class to score points 1 st 3 points, 2 nd 2 points and 3 rd 1 point. The Winner will be the exhibitor with the highest aggregate of points at the above shows for any one specific Breed. The Trophy will be presented at the Chinchilla Show. REGULATIONS 1 - Stud cattle exhibits from herds classified as tested negative (TN) or confirmed free with respect Brucellosis. 2 - All male stock over 12 months must have nose ring fitted. 3 - The age of all cattle must be actual age at 1 st April 2012. 4 - All animals entered MUST be registered in a herd or calf register of the respective Breed Society, and MUST be the bonafide property of the exhibitor. 5 - All animals MUST have a brand, either tattoo or fire. The brand MUST be stated on the entry form. 6 - All animals, which in the opinion of the stewards, are not in a fit state to be exhibited, may be rejected by them and debarred from competition. Such animals must be removed from the grounds as soon as exhibitor is notified. 7 - In the event of the Judge deciding that the exhibit in any Class or Championship is not worthy of the prize, no prize shall be awarded. 8 - For Senior Championship Prize, all First Prize winners (except those for Classes for animals under 21 months of age) of the sex and breed are eligible to compete. After selecting the Champion, the Judge is required to select an animal for the Reserve Champion, which will take the place of the Champion in the event of his being disqualified for any cause. The Reserve Champion shall be selected from the remaining First Prize winners, together with the Second Prize winner of the Class which furnished the Champion. 9 - Junior Championships will be awarded to animals under 21 months of age in the same way as Regulation 8 10 Dehorned cattle may compete in Stud Section if conditions are acceptable to their respective Breed Society. 11 The Wandoan Show Grounds is Tick Protected. These competitions are designed to determine the Parader who presents and parades an animal before a Judge most effectively. Paraders will parade their animals in a clockwise manner as is normal in a Cattle Judging Ring at the discretion of the Judge. (1) Competitors must be over 15 and under 25 years of age on the 1 st May in the year of the State Final. (2) Competitors under 18 years of age must have the approval of a parent or guardian to compete. (3) Competitors are to be resident in Queensland for at least three months prior to competing or attending an educational institution in Queensland unless they qualify under Rule (4) (4) Competitors residing over the border who can prove an affinity with a Queensland Show are allowed entry provided they satisfy one of the following criteria (a) Their address has a Queensland postcode. (b) They have a Queensland phone number. (c) The competitor or their parents are active working members of that Show. (4) Paraders must wear a white coat and not display any name or logo. (5) Paraders must be willing to swap animals if required. (6) Prior to commencement of Judging, Stewards are to consult with the Owners of Beasts to ascertain if there animals can be switched between handlers. (7) Stewards are to advise Judges that switching of animals is only to be considered if agreed by Owners and where absolutely necessary to achieve a result.
