SHOW RULES 1) The show will be held Saturday, October 3 rd, 2015 at Picket Hill Equestrian Centre, 50 Kingsley Road, Estey s Bridge, NB, E3A 6E3. The show will start at 9am in the outdoor ring, rain or shine. Please call Sarah @ 442-2299 or e-mail pickethill@hotmail.com for any information. 2) All exhibitors must be members of their provincial association, which can now be paid for online at www.nbea.ca. Proof of your NBEA membership needs to accompany your entry. 3) Entry fees are identified on the Class List 4) Entries must be received by 26 th September, 2015. Any entries received later than this will be subject to a $35 late fee. No exceptions. 5) Show committee may cancel or combine classes with fewer than 4 entries. 6) All classes will have ribbons to 6 th place. 7) All riders must wear an approved helmet. They must meet the standards of the ASTM and display the SEI seal. Along with all those showing over fences, helmets will be checked. 8) Stabling is very limited. Stabling will be provided if available on a first come, first serve basis, at $30 a stall. Provide your own bedding, hay, and buckets. Please come prepared to tie to your trailer for the day. PLEASE make sure to clean your stalls before leaving (stripping is not necessary) and keep your tack area clean and tidy all day. Please sweep in front of your stall and do not leave unswept while showing. 9) One horse and rider combination per entry form. 10) Division Awards will be awarded as identified on class list. 11) There will be a canteen on site provided by the barn parents, CASH ONLY. 12) Anyone showing disrespect or misconduct towards horses and/or others at the show will be asked to leave the grounds and will lose their entry fees. 13) Show attire is necessary. 14) Any falls in the ring, you must lead the horse out of the ring. There will be no re-mounting in the ring. You will be eliminated from the class in which the fall occurred. Medical personnel onsite will check you out and advise as to whether or not you will continue on in the show. 15) Warm up will be the inside ring, show will be in the outside ring. 16) Judge s decision is final. 17) PROOF OF UP TO DATE NEGATIVE COGGINS AND STRANGLES VACCINATIONS MUST ACCOMPANY YOUR ENTRY 18) PARKING - Due to limited room for parking exhibitors with horse trailers will be asked to park in the grass area at the bottom of the drive. Spectators and cars will be asked to park in the church and hall car park next to the drive way. 19) No stallions allowed. 20) There will be no refunds for no shows unless accompanied by a vet s letter, which will entitle a 50% refund. 21) Classes may be cancelled at show organizers discretion if less than 4 entries in a class. 22) Lunging will be allowed in the indoor ring ONLY if there are no other horses in the ring at the same time. If other horse/riders are warming up then lunging will not be allowed. 23) Please see our website for directions/location, www.pickethillequestrian.com 24) Show is open to horse/rider competitors who have competed at or under 1.15 m in 2015 25) Any cheques post-dated will be considered a late entry 26) Post entries on the day will be subject to a $3 fee per event CASH ONLY

EVENT INFORMATION ALL COURSES WILL BE POSTED ONE HOUR PRIOR TO EVENT X-RAILS FOR GREEN HORSES OR RIDERS ONLY CLEAR ROUND - HORSE AND RIDER CAN PAY TO RIDE THE COURSE WITH AN AIM TO GET A CLEAR ROUND. A CLEAR ROUND RIBBON WILL BE PRESENTED ON EXIT OF ARENA IF SUCCESSFUL. THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION. CLEAR ROUND AND JUMP OFF COMPETITORS WILL COMPLETE AN INITIAL COURSE OF JUMPS. ALL SUCCESSFUL CLEAR ROUNDS WILL RETURN FOR A JUMP OFF AGAINST THE CLOCK TO DETERMINE PLACING. POWER AND SPEED - COMPETITORS WILL COMPETE THE FIRST HALF OF THE COURSE (JUMPS WILL BE IDENTIFIED ON POSTED COURSE PRIOR TO THE EVENT) BASED ON STYLE AND CONTROL AND JUDGED ON THE BASIS OF REFUSALS, RUN OUTS, AND/OR RAIL KNOCK DOWNS. AT THE DESIGNATED PART OF THE COURSE COMPETITORS WILL COMPETE THE SECOND PART OF THE COURSE AGAINST THE CLOCK. SPEED CLASS - COMPETITORS WILL COMPETE ONE COURSE OF JUMPS AGAINST THE CLOCK. THE COMPETITOR WITH THE LEAST FAULTS AND FASTEST TIME WILL WIN. PUISSANCE COMPETITORS WILL ALL JUMP A SINGLE JUMP (WARM UP JUMP WILL BE PROVIDED AND IS OPTIONAL) ON A KNOCK OUT BASIS. THE JUMP WILL BE RAISED AFTER EVERY COMPETITOR HAS EITHER CLEARED THE JUMP OR BEEN ELIMINATED ON THEIR FIRST ATTEMPT. ONCE A HORSE KNOCKS A RAIL OR REFUSES THEY ARE ELIMINATED UNTIL ONE HORSE/RIDER COMBINATION REMAINS AND IS DECLARED THE WINNER. LIABILITY WAIVER Picket Hill Equestrian Centre Leap in Autumn Show It is hereby recognized that all equestrian sports involve inherent risk and that no helmet or protective equipment can protect against all foreseeable injury. I hereby accept the risk and hold harmless Picket Hill Equestrian Centre, the competition, their officials, organizers, agents, employees and their representatives. I acknowledge that the Equestrian Sport and its competitions are a high risk sport and that I am participating at my own risk and in full knowledge of the hazards and potential hazards which are inherent in this sport. I further acknowledge that inherent risks in riding and working around horses, which include bodily injury to both horse and rider which can result from normal use, competition or schooling. In consideration of being allowed to participate in this event, I hereby assume all risk and I hereby release and absolve the Organizing Committee, Picket Hill Equestrian Centre, Provincial, and Discipline Affiliates, the New Brunswick Equestrian Association and their Officials, Volunteers, Officials, Directors, Agents, Representatives and Employees and the Owners and Occupiers of the land upon which the competition is held, from all responsibility, liability or claims of any nature and kind which I may have arising from the participation in this activity, including but not limited to bodily injury or death to myself or my horse(s) and damage to property arising from any cause whatever, including the negligence of one or more of the individuals and organizations referred to herein. All riders, regardless of age or level or competition, must wear ASTM/SEI or BSI/BS EN approved protective headgear at all times at the event location.
