Players of the Game Nov. 27, 2012 at Troy High School #32 Samantha Gibson G Samantha came off the bench in the 3rd quarter and scores 6 points in the matter of minutes with her intense defense on the full court press. She also grabbed 4 rebounds and had 2 steals. Dec. 4, 2012 at L Anse Creuse High School #33 Kelsey Neal PG Kelsey was able to get a steal, almost at will against the starting Point Guard. She also had a game high 8 points and 2 assists. Dec. 7, 2012 at Clarkston High Middle School #20 Catie Carnaghi F Catie was aggressive, attacking the basket in the 2 nd half of the game. She shot 3 of 4 from the free throw line. Dec. 11, 2012 vs. Ford II High School #31 Kalya Dobies G/F Kayla had an outstanding game with 4 points in the 1st half and 10 points in the 2nd half. She also lead the team with 10 rebounds and led the defensive comeback and hit the game tying shot with 8 seconds left to force overtime.

Her hustle was evident from start to finish. Dec. 20, 2012 at Chippewa Valley High School #14 Harley Gorzelski G Harley played great defense on the full court press, leading the team to a 20 to 1 halftime lead. She scored 6 points on 3 of 6 shooting. Jan. 8, 2013 at Grosse Pointe South High School #50 Kelcie LaTour F Kelcie was 2 for 4 shooting and was 50% from the free throw line. She also played aggressive defense.

Jan. 11, 2013 vs. Romeo High School #3 Paige Nottingham PG Paige led all scorers with 15 points. She was perfect from the charity stripe. Paige was under control and had very few turnovers. Jan. 15, 2013 vs. Grosse Pointe North High School #23 Alexis Penzien G Alexis came off the bench and added a spark to our offense by attacking the basket. Her aggressive defense set the tone for the game. She scored 4 points and had 3 rebounds. Jan. 18, 2013 at Stevenson High School #22 Carly King F Carly was 3 for 6 from the field, scoring 6 points, and only committing 1 foul. Carly's defense added to the bench's intensity. She also grabbed 2 rebounds, and had 1 block. Jan. 22, 2013 vs. Port Huron Northern #31 Kalya Dobies G/F Kayla's lock down defense helped the team secure it's 3rd straight victory. She scored 8 points and had 5 rebounds while holding PHN's best player to 2 points in the 2nd half.

Jan. 24, 2013 at Utica Ford II High School #20 Catie Carnaghi F Catie added the post presence that helped defeat the zone defense. She scored 10 points and had 7 rebounds. Her court sense aided the teams ability to break the full court press. Jan. 29, 2013 vs. Chippewa Valley High School #12 Rachel Hintz G Rachel ran the point as well as the 2 guard position with confidence and poise. She scored 3 points and had season best 5 steals. Jan. 31, 2013 vs. Grosse Pointe South High School #33 Kelsey Neal G Kelsey vaulted the team to a huge 1st quarter lead with 13 points in the period. She also had six steals in the game and no turnovers. She finished with 15 points. Feb. 4, 2013 at Romeo High School #50 Kelcie LaTour F Kelcie played good defense on the Romeo's post players. She added 6 points, 1 block, 2 rebounds and 1 steal.

Feb. 7, 2013 at Grosse Pointe North High School #21 Callie Gipprich G Callie had 2 points and 2 rebounds in her starting roll. She helped lead the team to a win on the road. Feb. 12, 2013 vs. Stevenson High School #11 Anna Verchimak F Anna's play has improved greatly since the 1st game of the season. Her play vs. Stevenson was evidence that she has improved greatly. She has 3 rebounds and 1 steal in a big win over the Titans Feb. 14, 2013 at Marysville High School #44 Natalie Gentner F Natalie has played great defense for team. She sets screens when the offense is not flowing and plays smart at all times. Feb. 19, 2013 vs. Utica Ford II High School #54 Sawyer Sparks F Sawyer played a great game with a season high 4 points. She also had 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist. Way to go! Thanks for a great season!!!
