Using the McDougal Little Test Generator with CPS 1. Launch the Test Generator (Faculty & Staff Apps>Instructional Resources>McDougal Littel Test Generator>Teacher) 2. Choose your test bank, and Click Open. 3. Create a new test by clicking the New Test button. 4. Add questions to your test by double clicking the sections to the left, and navigating to the questions you wish to add. Then Click and Drag the questions into the testing window. 5. Save your test by clicking on the save button at the bottom of the screen. Then navigate to where you want this test to be saved, and name the test. (Suggestion: save it to MyDocuments ) Click Save.
6. Now export your test to text by going to File>Export>Test to Text 7. You will be prompted again to choose where to save this text file. It is recommended that you save it in the same location you saved the original test file. 8. When asked if you would like to open this text file, choose Yes. (Note: This will open the text file in Notepad. You can also open this file manually in Word if you prefer.) Close Microsoft Word! Now you are ready to import into CPS 11. Launch CPS, go to the Lesson & Assessments tab, and choose Import. 12. Click Browse, and navigate to the.rtf file that you saved. You will need to select RTF as your file type to locate the file. (Make sure you have closed the document before you try to import!) When the import is complete, you will see your test/lesson listed in the Lesson & Assessments tab.
