SOAR 17 July 3-July 7, 2017 Your Cost $400 ($100 deposit required by June 1 to reserve your spot) (Includes SOAR registration, t-shirt, lodging, lunch/dinner, transportation, and special activities.) EARLY REGISTRATION OPTION: Register and pay your $100 deposit by March 1 for $20 off Point System for SOAR 2017 (This is for those involved in Oak Park s Youth ministry) 300 points are required to fully cover the cost of your trip after $100 deposit. How to earn points: Regular Services (Beginning March 1) TOTAL possible = 52 points Sunday School 1 points (17 weeks=17 points possible) Wednesday Night Youth 2 points (18 weeks=36 points possible) Fundraisers TOTAL possible = 500+ points UALR Basketball Games Youth works=20 points per game/with parent +5 points Chili Cook-off Helping setup, serve, clean and take down points will be calculated based on participants and $$ raised Traveler s Games (16 games) Youth works=20 points per game/with parent +5 points Other fundraisers as needed points will be calculated based on participants and $$ raised Special Events TOTAL possible = 85+ points Helping with Graduates Sunday Reception (May 3-5:00 PM) 10 points Serving at MEGA Sports Camp (June 5-9-7:30 AM-5 PM) 50 points Church Camp (6/19-6/22) & GMA Camp (6/13-6/16) 25 points This system is a way we can provide for people that want to go to SOAR and at the same time hold people accountable to help raise the funds and be involved in what is going on. If you do not have the 300 points required, your balance due will be prorated according to how many points you do have. NOTE: All visitors who are not participating in any of these events are required to pay $400 to participate in this event. Page 2 of 7
Below is the tentative schedule for our SOAR 17 trip: Monday, July 3 Tuesday, July 4 - Meet at the church at 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 AM Depart for Dallas, TX - 11:00 AM Lunch in Rockwall, TX - 1:00 PM Arrive at Six Flags - 10 AM-2 PM SOAR Serves* Wednesday, July 5-8 PM-9:30 PM SOAR Conference Session 1-12 AM Midnight Missions Meeting - Conference ends at 11:00 a.m. - Load up and head home - 12 AM Midnight Missions Meeting Thursday, July 6-9:30 AM-11 AM SOAR Conference Session 2 - Afternoon Activity - 7 PM-8:30 PM SOAR Conference Session 3-9 PM-10 PM Jordan Feliz Concert Friday, July 7-9:30 AM-11 AM SOAR Conference Session 4 - Conference ends at 11:00 a.m. - Load up and head home Dress Code for all Youth & Children Trips/Events/Activities. 1. All shorts and/or skirts must be no shorter than 4-6 inches above the knee. 2. All shirts must be long enough so that when you raise your arms above your head your stomach does not show. 3. All swimsuits must be modest and one-piece 4. No tank-tops/muscle shirts are permitted. Must have at least a 2-in wide strap to be considered a sleeveless shirt. The shirt must cover so that you do not see armpits if you lift your arms. 5. All clothing must be worn as it is made to be worn. (i.e. no rolling down shorts to make them shorter.) 6. Hats are not to be worn to indoor services and/or worship services. 7. All pants must fit around the waist. No sagging pants will be permitted. 8. Modesty is what we want because on every trip you are not only representing our church, but you should also be sharing your Christian witness with everyone you see. NOTE: If there are any questions about these rules for the dress code, they should be addressed before you come on the trip. Page 3 of 7

I authorize transportation by Oak Park Baptist Church. We understand that the activity does present the risk of injury, or even death, to the participant, and we have advised the participant of those possibilities. We represent to you that we and the participant assume the risk of any such injury or death, and hold you, your agents, employees, and representatives harmless from any liability for injury or death to the participant while engaged in this activity which is caused or contributed to by the conduct of the participant, and agree to indemnify and defend you against any claim or liability asserted against you for any such injury or death to the participant. We also hold you, your agents, employees, and representatives harmless from all liability to any other person or entity arising as a result of the conduct of the participant in this activity and agree to defend and indemnify you, your agents, employees, and representatives against any claim or liability arising as a result of such conduct. If we are not personally present at these activities in which the participant is to participate, so as to be consulted in the case of necessity, you are authorized on our behalf to arrange for such medical and hospital treatment as you may deem advisable for the health and well-being of the participant. The activity begins at Oak Park Baptist Church on July 3 at 6:00 a.m. and the participant should return between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on July 7, 2017.
