The Green Knights are looking for their third consecutive and fifth overall tournament title. Admission to the tournament is free. Start Me Up: St. Norbert s 8-0 start is its best beginning to a men s basketball season in 92 years. The Green Knights went 8-0 during the 1922-23 season, and also went 12-0 in 1919-20. Building a Winner: In his first eight-plus seasons, head coach Gary Grzesk turned the St. Norbert men s basketball program into an annual contender for the Midwest Conference championship, winning the MWC title four times in the last five seasons. The Green Knights have won 20 games four times in the last five years under Grzesk. In the program s previous 86 seasons, St. Norbert had 20-win seasons just twice. St. Norbert s 25 wins in 2014 is a school record. The Green Knights won 23 games in 2010, and also won 21 games twice (1984 and 2002). St. Norbert also won 20 games in 2011 and 2013. St. Norbert s 81-23 record from 2011 to 2014 marks the best four-year total in school history. Since starting the 2007-08 season 2-5, St. Norbert is a solid 142-38. St. Norbert reached its highest national ranking in the 13-year history of the D3hoops.com Top 25 with a No. 5 ranking the weeks of Feb. 17, Feb. 24 and March 3, 2014. Schwoerer Stuff: St. Norbert senior forward Andrew Schwoerer is a pre-season All- America selection this season by both D3hoops.com and DIII News. Schwoerer reached the career 1,000-point mark last season, only the third St. Norbert player since 1975 to do so during his junior season. Schwoerer has 1,153 career points to place 16th on the St. Norbert career scoring list. Gary Herold is 15th with 1,222 points from 1956-58. Romie Kosnar is 14th with 1,234 points from 1947-51.
