8. CHATEU TEBEAU WINERY and ANDREW MARTIN MAGIC SHOW Wednesday, October 4, 2017 4:30PM around 8:45PM $43.00 (Dinner included) Due at sign up REGISTRATION BEGINS: Monday, May 1 @ 8:30am Bob and Mary Tebeau would like to welcome you to a wonderful dinner including meatloaf, potatoes, green beans, roll, coffee, hot tea and dessert. They are closed on Wednesdays sooo they are opening up just for us! I have hired Andrew Martin to perform magic after dinner. Andrew Martin has been perfecting and performing his special brand of magic-comedy for over 25 years. Andrew s first paid performance took place at his local library when he was just 11 years old. In order to keep pace with the heavy demand for his services, at the age of 22 Andrew turned professional and dedicated himself entirely to magic. He has made his living at it ever since. There is something delightfully zany about Andrew. He has a natural flair for the comic as well as top rated magical skills. Currently he performs over 500 shows a year from stolling to full-scale stage productions. This will be a fun, relaxing evening! W o o d C a r v i n g Each Thursday beginning at AM Gerry Hill is in the house to help you learn to carve. You are welcome to stop by and see the projects that the participants are working on, all of which are absolutely amazing and ask questions. We will be following the Rules of 9-Wicket Croquet. Our purpose is to have fun but we do need rules to be fair. Please call AEC at 419-448-9774 if you are interested in being a part of this new endeavor. Keep in mind that you are not required to be there each week if your schedule does not allow. If you have a croquet set that you would let us borrow for the summer please call and let us know. The season will start Wednesday, June 14, 2017. If the weather is bad croquet will be cancelled. Remember that none of us are experts. We hope to see you there for a good time! Shortly after, she and her husband moved to Republic to raise their family of four children. Sue grew up on a farm and took care of many animals. As a young person she enjoyed time taking care of the sheep and riding her bike. As a retiree Sue enjoys mowing yards, reading a lot, spending time in her garden, enjoying her roses, and visiting friends. Also loves to cook her favorite dish - baked spaghetti! Sue heard about AEC from friends who are current AEC members. At the Center she enjoys Yoga, seeing all the people, watching crafts being made, and exercising. I asked Sue the following: If there is one piece of advice that you would give me as a 23 year old what would it be? RESPONSE: Enjoy each day because time goes by too quickly! In 1927 Ralph Peer, a record producer with the Victor Talking Machine Company, set up a temporary music studio. Over the next 12 days he recorded songs by 19 artists, including Jimmie Rodgers and the Carter family. These recordings launched the country music industry. In 1998 the United States Congress recognized Bristol as The Birthplace of Country Music. We will be staying in the Abingdon & Bristol area touring many things including the The Birthplace of Country Music Museum. In harmony with the music is the driving sound of race engines. Bristol is home of the World s Fastest Half-mile Bristol Motor Speedway, NASCAR s most popular track, as well as Bristol Drag way. We will be going to the speedway, downtown Bristol and much more. This is a special event, only on this date. Come join us! One highlight of this tour, is an evening with Grammy Winning Songwriter Richard Leigh, his friends and their music. This is an intimate evening with members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Filled with stories, songs, laughter and memories. These songwriters have written for Ray Charles, Connie Frances, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, the Dixie Chicks, Anne Murray and Perry Como to name a few. Richard has written 9 songs himself that rose to number 1 hits on the charts. I ll Get Over You, Don t It Make Your Brown Eyes Blue both performed by Crystal Gayle and others.
