The first activity of the 9th Interbank Offsite was the Workshop Market Risk Management Best Practices and Trading System. With more than 200 participants and experts from domestic and regional markets, the Workshop discussed extensively about market risk management practices at commercial banks, insurance companies, securities companies, fund management companies, the appplication of electronic trading, new products in the Vietnam financial market and the trend of the market in the later half of 2017. After the Workshop, hundreds of Interbank Offsite participants took part in the exciting Interbank Pool Party with funny gameshows and contest. On the 10th of June, a series of sporting and entertaining events took place including: Thanh Ha Potter village and Hoi An Tour, VBMA-Saxo Interbank Golf Tournament, Interbank Tennis Tournament, Interbank Football Match, Interbank Poker Tournament and the Gala Dinner in the evening. At the Gala Dinner, participants had the opportunity to enjoy unique, well-prepared Interbank Got Talent performances as well as performances put up by professional singers and dancers. Several lucky audiences of the Gala Dinner received 4 pairs of international round-trip tickets, 3 pairs of domestic round-trip ticketss from Vietjet Air, 1 ipad 128 GB and 1 iphone 7 Gold after the Lucky Draw programs. Also at the Gala Dinner, the charity auction including live auction and silent auction raised VND 192 million from Interbank philanthropists. Tentatively, these fund would be used to support the construction of a bridge for people of Ban Sao hamlet, Vinh Quy Commune, Ha Lang District, Cao Bang Province These activities in this Interbank Offsite greatly helped enhance the solidarity between financial markets players and created good conditions for networking and experience-sharing. Also this was an excellent opportunity for the interbank community to support the poor ethnic people in a mountainous area of Vietnam
The VBMA Interbank Pool Party, part of the 9th Interbank Offsite. In the evening of the 09th of June 2017, after the end of the Workshop Market Risk Management Best Practices and Trading System, the VBMA Interbank Pool Party was held at the Ocean Pool, Furama Resort. Here Interbank Offsite participants not only enjoy entertaining performances but also demonstrate their own enthusiasm and liveliness in the cocktail drinking contest, swimming contesst and the Pool Party King & Queen Competition. From 6 attending couples, the judges and audiences chose the most Mr. Hoang Viet Anh (Maritimebank) as King and Ms. Do Thi Thu Hueyn (VPBank) as Queen of the Pool Party. The winning couple was awarded 2 iphone 128 GB. Interbank s Got Talent performances at the Gala Dinner, Interbank Offsite 2017 At the Gala Dinner party of the 9th Interbank Offsite, participating organizations contributed 9 special, carefully prepared Interbank s Got Talent performances, namely: 1. The Symphony of Light - Hello Interbank 2017 Agribank team 2. Modern dance "BIDV Spirit" BIDV team 3. Dramatics "Starfruit" MB team 4. Modern dance MSB Team 5. Sing & Dance "Co gai mo đuong" BacA Bank & National Citizen Bank 6. Sing "Make you feel my love" Le Bao Khanh & Pham Thi Ngoc Thao - Techcombank 7. Modern dance HDBank team 8. Sing and dance "Beo dat may troi" Lo Thi Anh Tuyet & Tran Thi Quynh Hoa - EVN Finance 9. Hawai Dance VPBank team The judges of the Gala Dinner worked diligently to grade the performances based on 4 criteria Number of participants, Uniformity, Presence annd Uniqueness. Final results, Modern dance "BIDV Spirit" from BIDV won the Champion, The Symphony of Light - Hello Interbank 2017 from Agribank came in Second, and Hawaii Dance from VPBank came in Third. The Football Tournament, within the 9th Interbank Offsite In the afternoon of the 10th of June 2017 VBMA organized the the Interbank Football Tournament within the 9th Interbank Offsite. Four footballs teams namely Peak, Short, Long and Trough were established to compete in the tournament. The Short and Trough teams met each other in the finale. At the end, the Short team won the final match with the score of 2-1 and became the Champion of the Interbank Offsite 2017 Football Tournament
The Tennis Tournament of the 9th Interbank Offsite In the morning of 10th of June 2017, VBMA organized the Interbank Tennis Tournament as one of the sport activities of Interbank Offsite 2017 at Tuyen Son Sport Complex, Da Nang City. Fourteen pairs took part in the Tournament were divided into 4 divisions. The final results are as follow: Champion: Mr.Nguyen Khuong Duy (Citibank) and Mr.Ngo The Trieu (Eastspring Investments) First Runner-up: Mr.Le Hong Phong and Mr. Le Phuoc Thoai, both from Bac A Bank Second Runner-up: Mr. Phan Dang Thanh and Mr.Nguyen Dinh Duy both from Baoviet Fund; and Mr. Dang Nguyen Truong Tai (Dai-ichi Life) and Mr. Truong Thanh Thuan (Prudential) The Poker Tournament, within the 9th Interbank Offsite In the after noon of Saturday 10th of June 2017, within the scope of the 9th Interbank Offsite, VBMA hosted the Interbank Poker Tournament at Pullman Resort, Da Nang City. In the first round, 70 players were divided into 7 tables to choose 7 best players to take part in the final round. After a 4-hour competition, Mr. Hoang Minh Thanh from Quant-Edge corporation became the Champion, Mr. Lam Trong Hai from Asia Commercial Bank and Mr. Pham Duong Hieu from ANZ came in second and third, respectively. The VBMA-Saxo Interbank Golf Tournament, within the 9th Interbank Offsite In the morning of Saturday June 10, 2017 within the 9th Interbank Offsite, VBMA with the sponsor of Saxo Capital Markets organized the Golf Interbank Tournament in Montgomerie Links Vietnam Golf Club. There were 60 Vietnamese and foreign golfers participating in this tournament, divided in to 03 Divisions: A, B and C. Mr. Vo Huy Tan Duy Mr. Tran Đinh Vinh 14 The Most Admired Woman Mrs.Nguyen Quynh Hoa VTV Da Nang KPMG VBMA Standing Committee met in June 2017 On the 27th of June 2017, VBMA Standing Committee met to discuss and agree on the following issues: Preapring to comment on the draft Decree amending Decree No. 90/2011 on corporate bond issuance, the procedure of collecting members comment on legal documents, collecting members comment and preparing assessment report and proposal on the plan to establish CRA, awarding VBMA Office compensation for having successfully organized Interbank Offsite 2017 VBMA worked with bond experts from World Bank From 12 th to 23 rd of June 2017, VBMA Legal Committee and Corporate bond sub-committee had meetings with bond experts from World Bank to discuss the draft Decree amending Decree No.90 on corporate bond issuance. Besides, VBMA also arranged meetings between World Bank and market members and Vietnam Securities Depository to talk about the secondary bond market in Vietnam.
