A. PARTICIPATION: 1. Registration is due by Saturday, August 15, 2015. Late registration closes on Saturday, August 22, 2015. NO ENTRIES TAKEN AFTER AUGUST 22, 2015!!! 2. No refunds will be given after August 22, 2015. Cancellations should be given at least 7 days prior to the parade. 3. Entries MUST conform to the parade theme Mi Raza Linda 4. All entries must have a Release, Waiver of Liability, and Indemnity Agreement signed and on file or entry will not be allowed to participate in parade. 5. Any children under 12 years old participating in parade must have adult supervision. 6. Reviewing stand will be located at 800 W Northern Ave. (Bessemer Park) Parade entry does not include State Fair gate admission. 7. Entry numbers are on first come, first served basis. B.GENERAL: 1. Up to four (4) vehicles per entry will be allowed in the parade. Additional vehicles will NOT be allowed into parade unless a separate entry fee is paid. NO EXCEPTIONS! 2. No additional vehicles will be allowed in the assembly area to drop off participants, decorations, or other items for any reason. 3. All entries are responsible for their own transportation and decorations. 4. Participants are not allowed to sell food or beverages. 5. No entry will be allowed to stop at reviewing stand and/or along parade route. 6. Please have make sure contact person is available should entry win an official Fair Award. C.SAFETY EXPECTATIONS 1. Nothing may be thrown to spectators along the parade route (candy, pins, pamphlets, etc). 2. Each entry shall exercise all precautions for safety. Each entry is responsible for making their float safe for the participants, spectators, judges, and volunteers. 3. No more than two (2) car lengths will be allowed between parade entrants. 4. The driver of each entry must be available at all times to move unit in the event of an emergency or relocation. 5. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by participants during line up or parade is strictly prohibited. 6. In order to properly and safely line up parade entries, please list any animals, sound effects, or loud noises will be used. 7. Discharging of firearms, fireworks, or any other incendiary devices is strictly prohibited. 8. Directions issued by Parade officials, Fiesta volunteers, and/or law enforcement must be strictly adhered to. 9. No water guns. 10. Music with obscene or vulgar lyrics is prohibited. Any violations of any of the general or safety requirements may result in dismissal from parade, ineligibility for awards, and/or ineligibility from participating in future Fiesta Day parades. D.ADVERTISING: 1. Participants wearing signs or clothing with political advertising and/or supporting controversial social or religious issues WILL NOT be allowed in the parade (i.e. CANNOT say Vote for or Elect ). No exceptions!! 2. Identification of firm or organization sponsoring entries IS encouraged. 3. The use of 20 x 36 signs to identify sponsors is recommended. These signs must be supplied by the entrant. E.FLOAT AWARDS: Entries will be judged in the following areas: Most Traditional Judges Choice Most Creative Most Fitting Parade Theme Best Costumes 1.All entries are to report to their designated position no later than 7:30 am 2. Judging for entries will begin PROMPTLY at 8:00 a.m. with all floats being staffed as they would appear during the parade. LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE JUDGED. NO EXCEPTIONS. 3. Floats must be NO HIGHER than 13, NO WIDER than 10, and NO LONGER than 65 4. Trophies will be awarded to the winner in each of the five (5) categories immediately prior to the start of the parade. An advance banner during the course of the parade will designate each of the winning floats. OFFICIAL FAIR AWARDS: The Parade Panel will judge the following entries during the course of the parade. Trophy winners will be announced at 3:30 p.m. at the Coke Family Park. As much advance notice will be given to each winner. Winners not present may forfeit the right to win future awards. Car clubs and custom vehicles MUST participate two (2) cars abreast during ENTIRE parade. 3. BOUNCING AND HYDRAULICS will be PROHIBITED during parade.
2015 RELEASE, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT Colorado State Fair Fiesta Day Parade, Pueblo CO IN CONSIDERATION of the right to participate in the Colorado State Fair Fiesta Day Parade and/or activities relating to the parade (hereinafter referred to as the Parade ), the undersigned grants to the City of Pueblo, the Colorado State Fair, the CSF Fiesta Committee, its successors and assigns; the right to record, broadcast, photograph, and use any such media taken of my entry and its participants in promotion the Parade. FOR THE SAME CONSIDERATION, the undersigned, for myself, my organization, my fellow members of this organization, their employees, volunteers, agents, successors, assigns, heirs, and next of kin (hereinafter referred to as Parade Entry ) assume all risks associated with participation in the Parade and: HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE all of the following (who are hereinafter called the indemnified parties ) namely the City of Pueblo, the Colorado State Fair, the CSF Fiesta Committee, Parade sponsors, and/or all parade participants and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, successors, assigns, members, and volunteers from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney s fees, arising out of the Parade Entry s participation in the parade, including without limitation, any personal injuries or damage to property which the Parade Entry may incur as a result of participation in the Parade. HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the Indemnified Parties and each of them from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to the presence of the Parade Entry in any way observing, or working for, or for any purpose participating in the Parade and whether caused by the negligence of the Indemnified Parties or otherwise. HEREBY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OF BODILY HARM, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE due to the negligence of the Indemnified Parties or otherwise while observing, or working for, or for any purpose participating in the event. I acknowledge and agree that the activities at the Parade may be dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage. I further expressly agree that the forgoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the laws of the State of Colorado, and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ AND VOLUNTARILY AGREES AND ACCEPTS responsibility for all statements/requirements above for each and every individual regardless of age assigned to or participating in or with the Parade Entry. The undersigned also represents authorization to sign this document on behalf of each and every individual regardless of age assigned to or participating in or with the Parade Entry.
