Date/Time/Opponent (PT Time) Probable Pitchers Los Angeles Angels (40-39) vs. LOS ANGELES DODGERS (51-26) RHP Ricky Nolasco (2-9, 5.23) vs. LHP Rich Hill (4-3, 4.73) Monday, June 26, 2017 7:10 p.m. PT Dodger Stadium Los Angeles, CA Game 78 Home Game 43 (32-10) Night Game 54 (34-19) TV: SportsNet LA, SNLA Spanish Radio: AM 570 (Eng.); 1020 AM (Span.) CROSSTOWN SHOWDOWN: Tonight, the Dodgers will begin a twogame set against their crosstown rivals, the Angels, in the annual Freeway Series driven by Lexus in the final series of their nine-game homestand (7-0). Los Angeles recorded its eighth series sweep of the season and their thirdconsecutive sweep following a 12-6 comeback victory over the Rockies yesterday. The club, which improved their National League best record to 51-26 (.662), also extended their season-high winning streak to 10 straight games for the first time since August 7-17, 2013 and have been victorious in 16 of their last 17 contests since June 7. Following the two-game set against the Halos, the Boys in Blue will head down the I-5 to continue their series with the Angels in Anaheim (2) and will follow that by heading further south to San Diego for three games. Los Angeles recorded its 21 st comeback victory yesterday, roaring back from a 5-0 deficit to keep its winning streak alive. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, the club is just the second team over the last 15 seasons to extend a winning streak to 10 games or longer by erasing a deficit of five or more runs since the Padres won 9-7 at Arizona in 2009. The Dodgers were able to erase the deficit by scoring five runs on wild pitches, becoming the first team in big league history to do so since at least 1920. The Dodgers became the first National League team to reach a 10-game winning streak this season and tied the Texas Rangers (10 games, May 9-19) for the second longest streak in the big leagues, trailing only the Houston Astros 11-game run (May 25- June 5). During the streak, the Dodgers own a +51 run differential, which according to Stats LLC., is the club s largest in any 10-game span since moving to Los Angeles in 1958. The club s last 11-game winning streak was from July 28-August 8, 2006. The Dodgers have won 11 consecutive games at Dodger Stadium, their most since recording 13 straight victories at home to open the 2009 season (April 13-May 6). The club is 32-10 (.762) at home this season, which is the best mark in the Major Leagues. The club is 43-11 (.796) in its last 54 games at the Ravine since Sept. 3, 2016, which is the best home record in the Majors during that span. The Dodgers lost the 2016 series against the Angels, 1-3, but have fared well against their SoCal rivals at home, winning eight of their last 12 games against the Halos at Dodger Stadium since 2012. Los Angeles has gone 2-1 in Interleague play this season and finished 10-10 against the American League each of the last two seasons. In 23 games during the month of June, the Dodgers own the best record in the Major Leagues at 18-5 (.783). The Dodgers +138 run differential is the best in the Major Leagues, 19 runs better than the Houston Astros (+119). THE SLUG CLUB: Kiké Hernández two-run blast in the third inning yesterday gave the Dodgers home runs in 17 consecutive games since June 7, which is tied for the longest homer streak in L.A. Dodger history (May 29-June 16, 1960). The current 17-game streak is tied for the second longest in franchise history, still far away from the Dodger franchise record of 24 consecutive games with a home run (June 18-July 10, 1953). Hernández recorded his career-high eighth home run of the season yesterday and his fourth homer during the month of June. 26 of his 37 hits this season are extra-base hits, collecting 17 doubles, a triple and eight long balls. The Dodgers, who rank fourth in the NL in home runs (106), trailing the Nationals (117), Mets (114) and Brewers (110), have hit 41 homers in their last 17 games since June 7. Los Angeles is averaging 2.35 home runs per game during that span, which is easily pacing the Majors: MLB, Most Home Runs per Game Since 06/07/2017 Los Angeles Dodgers 2.41 (41/17) New York Yankees 1.89 Texas Rangers 1.88 St. Louis Cardinals 1.83 Tampa Bay Rays 1.83 Source: Stats LLC Los Angeles is averaging 1.64 home runs per game at home this year (69 HR/42 G), which is currently the highest in Dodger Stadium history. The club record at home is 1.33 HR/G, established in 2000 (108 HR/81 G). Bellinger, who claims his second career NL Player of the Week Award (last: May 1-7), slashed.370 (10-for-27)/.400/1.037 with seven runs, three doubles, five home runs and 12 RBI over the seven game stretch. During the week, he recorded two-multi home run games, as he surpassed Mike Piazza for the most multi-homer games by a Dodger rookie in a season and sits at second all-time among big league rookies, trailing Mark McGwire, who collected seven multi-homer games in 1987. Bellinger becomes the first player in the Majors this season to garner multiple weekly honors. Including his two home run performance yesterday, Bellinger collected a career-high tying three hits (5x, last: June 19 vs. NYM) and recorded four RBI against the Rockies. The Arizona native is slashing.307/.367/.841 with 19 runs, eight doubles, 13 home runs and 26 RBI in 23 June games. Bellinger leads the Majors in home runs and in slugging percentage during June and his 13 home runs this month are tied for third most all-time by a rookie in a single month with Jimmie Hall, who hit 13 in August 1963 with Minnesota. Since his promotion on April 25, Bellinger leads the Majors in home runs (24) and RBI (55) while ranking second in slugging percentage (.679) and sixth in OPS (1.021). According to Stats LLC., Bellinger s 8.96 at-bats per home run is the fewest all-time among rookies (min. 200 PA) and is also the best mark in MLB this season, regardless of rookie status. Hill last pitched on Wednesday against the Mets, allowing just one run on four hits in 5.0 innings with eight strikeouts, as he recorded the win in the Dodgers 8-2 victory. In five starts at Dodger Stadium this season, he has gone 3-2 with a 4.09 ERA (10 ER/22.0 IP), while holding opponents to a.215 average and striking out 24 batters in 22.0 innings. Hill has been excellent with runners in scoring position this season as he is holding batters to a.128 (6-for-47) average in those situations, which is the third-best mark in the Majors, behind just the Mets Matt Harvey (.123) and the Nationals Gio Gonzalez (.107). ROSTER MOVE: Today, the Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Brock Stewart and outfielder Trayce Thompson from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed right-handed pitcher Brandon McCarthy (right knee tendonitis) on the 10-day disabled list and optioned right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling to Triple-A OKC. Stewart, who will make his second stint with the big league club, last pitched on Tuesday for the Dodgers, striking out one against one walk in 3.0 scoreless innings against the Mets and recorded his first career save. Thompson will also make his second stint with Los Angeles this season, after hitting.211 with eight doubles, four triples, seven home runs and 25 RBI in 62 games with the OKC Dodgers this year. Thompson has gone 0-for-8 in three games for Los Angeles this season. GO ON AND #VOTE BLUE: MLB revealed its fifth and final All-Star balloting update today and Corey Seager continues to trail Cincinnati s Zack Cozart for the top spot at the shortstop position by 258,074 votes.
