November 2012 NO NOVEMBER MONTHLY CLUB MEETING ON NOV. 19 TH, 2012 We are cancelling the November Club meeting due to there not really being any club business other than getting the budget committee s proposals done and approved. If you have volunteered to help a committee chair with their proposals, please be sure you re communicating with them regularly. The board will be meeting this month to try to get the 2013 budget set. We are looking at cancelling the December monthly meeting as well as all we will be wrapping up is the coming year s budget and the shoot schedule, once we know when the ASA shoots are. If you have any questions or concern, please contact a club officer and will address as soon as we can. Thank you, Chuck.

MEMBER NOTICE FRONT GATE IS BEING LEFT UNLOCKED AND OPEN!!! Please make sure that every time you go in and out of the front gate, that it is closed and locked behind you. The only exception to this is if a Club Officer is meeting someone at the range to show it or during a club event or work party. There have been a number of occasions over the past month that the gate has been either left unlocked or open. Thank you for your understanding the importance of keeping the gate closed at all times. COWTOWN BOWMEN CLUB Q & A Email Questions to cowtowncowpatty@live.com This is a new section of our newsletter that we will use to answer frequent questions regarding the club, meeting, funding for projects, volunteer opportunities, and range and facility rules. Please email all questions that you would like published to the above newsletter email account and we will do our best to get them in our next monthly newsletter. Question: Can I take my dog/dogs to the range? Answer: Yes, but since our facility is part of a City Park, city leash laws do apply. A few of the Club Officers have been notified of a few occasions where pets were at the range and running free. As you can imagine, this has the potential to expose the club to liability issues if a pet wandered down range or was left un-supervised and someone was hurt. If you have any questions or concern, please contact a Club Officer.

Big Congrats to Tanya Bohannon on her Great Hog Kill. On the afternoon of October 6 th, 2012 Tanya took this 300lb+ Boar at 17 yards, with her Hoyt Alphamax 40#@ 25.5 draw. Gene said she drilled it and made his job of recovery very simple. Great shooting and great job.
