Kia ora koutou Tomorrow is Holy Thursday. Jesus met with his friends, the Apostles, to have the traditional Passover Feast on this day over 2000 years ago. A feast celebrated by all Jewish people. They shared unleavened bread and wine together in the spirit of this tradition. This is always remembered as the first Mass, and our modern Mass is based around this tradition. Jesus talked about his looming death with the Apostles, and he washed their feet to show his love and respect for them. Jesus went with his friends to pray in a garden nearby, and this is where he was identified top the Roman soldiers, by one of his friends thus beginning his trial and death. Here are the Caritas Lenten Challenges for the next two weeks: Tomorrow, the children will present the story of the Stations of the Cross to all of you. Some parents have described concerns that I would like us to follow up, but they haven t written their name on the survey. Please be aware that if you do not write your name, we will not be able to follow up on your concerns, specifically. All responses, as always, will be carefully considered as part of our self-review process, in a general sense so that we can improve our practice: https://goo.gl/forms/enhiu2ufobr7cfa03 Safety Concerns Biking, Scooters, walking, cars Just a friendly reminder to look out for our children on their bikes / scooters.
