Participants should wear close-fitting, comfortable clothing and bare feet. (Instructors: Graduating dancers of Guelph Youth Dance [Grades 3, 4, 5]) Note: In January, Guelph Youth Dance will return to this time slot with Hip Hop, also for Grades 3, 4, 5. Broadway Minis Musical Theatre This 10 week class is great for any children with any interest in singing, dancing and acting. They will have a chance to explore more movement styles and create dances of their own. We will work together as a group to create theatre stories as well as characters. Most of the lessons and exercises are learnt through games which allows kids to have fun in a comfortable environment. (Instructor: Courtney Riddell of Centre Stage Kids [Grades JK and SK]) Hip Hop Kids can learn to 'bust a move' while learning the basics of hip hop dance. Each class will include a warm up, dancing games and an introductory to choreography in a fun atmosphere. This class will get kids listening to the beat of the music and finding their creativity through movement. (Instructor: Courtney Riddell of Centre Stage Kids [Grades JK - 2]) Broadway Beginners Musical Theatre This 10 week program is for the kids who love to be centre stage. It will have elements of theatre, dance and vocal. We will work together to create a small workshop presentation for the last class. Each week the kids will get a chance to explore, create and develop their skills in dancing, acting and singing. We are still seeking ASSISTANT coaches! As the third adult, you will support the main coaches to run drills and keep score during matches. If you can help, please indicate on your child's registration e-mail. This is also a good way for youth to earn their required volunteer hours. Please pass on Coach Jenna's e-mail address (jenna.l.eardley@gmail.com) to any high-school or Grade 7-8 students you may know. If you would like to volunteer to coach/organise another sport or activity for after-school or our Saturday series, please e-mail!
