Miscues: The Cats committed 3 fielding errors last night for the second straight game and as a result, surrendered 4 unearned runs. The Cats 8 errors in their first three games puts them at the bottom of the NY- Penn League. Veteran Power: Offseason acquisition and former Jamestown Jammer, Jobduan Morales provided much of the Cats offense last night, recording 3 hits including a double and home run. The homer was Morales first of the season. Through 3 games, Jobduan is batting a scorching.625. Cats Streaking: Outfielders Andrew Aplin and second baseman Austin Elkins each had two hits to extend their streaks to 3-games. 1-2 Punch: As the 1-2 hitters, Aplin and Elkins are batting.545 and.417, respectively. With one steal each last night, the two have provided a strong spark for the entire Cats lineup. Strong Starting Pitching: Last night s starter, Juri Perez, went 4 innings, striking out three and walking one.
