Maya Marenda 12/7/16 Secret Knowledge of Grown-Ups Rule #42 Rule: Don t stare and/or point at other people! Official Reason: It is very rude December 15, 4246 B.C. 1:15 p.m. - Washington D.C. This happened over millions of years ago, after the dinosaurs, on December 15, 4246 B.C. All humans, old and young, were polite and poise. Though that afternoon was one to never forget, (the government had to erase everyone s memory though) 9 year old Sally Woodchuck made the biggest mistake of her life on that breezy afternoon. She was walking down the sidewalk, in her new pink polka dot dress, with her mother. Sally was vain little girl and always bragged about her beautiful features, wealthy family, and expensive house. She was looking around to see if one of her peers were out and about, but saw someone else that was intriguing. That particular person looked to not have much money and she just stared at him with a judging look, which obviously is wrong. His name was Johnny Armadillo, he wore baggy pants with a worn out shirt and shoes with that looked about two sized too small. After a few seconds, Johnny looked straight over in her direction and their eyes met. Then it happened, BOOM, Sally blew up! First her eyes started to glow a fiery red, then she started to inflate like a balloon (her arms and legs got puffy, she became plump, second by second she got bigger and bigger and bigger), finally she...blew up. The government did not want to have memories of this accident, so they had to erase the whole town s memory of that day. They got a enormous drone that looked like a cloud, to fly over the city and drop special memory erasing liquid that seeped into the body through the brain.
Nearly hundreds of explosions were reported, after that devastation. To prevent this from becoming a normal habit, everyone was breed to have colored eyes based on their genes ( although really was based on the mood of that particular person. That is now passed on from generation to generation. This was a chart that was discovered on each eye color mood: Blue Green Black Brown Yellow They were under the weather (or they were feeling blue ) They were sick They were angry at someone or something They were ecstatic on that particular day When you were younger than 18 you would have yellow eye Until you turned 18 your eye color would be yellow. Throughout the years because of DNA issues eye colors changed. At birth you are given an eye color and you have to live with that color. Some entrepreneurs came up with colored contacts for citizens who didn t like there eye color the were given. Many uncivilized people still stare today, but even they are protected by their eyes. July 25, 4256 B.C. 11:50 P.M. - Washington D.C. Years passed without a disaster reported, OUR PLAN HAD WORKED!!!!, and citizens were back to being polite and poise ( well not everyone). Yet again devastation would hit D.C., but instead of civilians blowing up...well you will just have to waid and see. Teenager Lila Clister woke up, got dressed, and went to school, just like any other normal day. Lila was a sweet girl who fell into the wrong crowd during high school, she made
fun of people she once was friends with, laughed at other people's clothes, and did this all out of pure pressure. Today she made the worst mistake of all, pointed at the new girl s messy hair! To you this might not seem like a big deal, but you won t be laughing when you hear about the power of pointing. At lunch Clister and her friends were talking about how annoying it was to cheer for a team that always loses their games. Then when she turned around to sneeze, Lila spotted a new girl that was having a bad hair day. She thought is was funny to point it out to her friends. At that time it seemed like a harmless act. She heard her mom say not to point at other people because it is rude, but always ignored her mom. Once the long, bony finger stretched out toward the new girl, Lila s future was about to change. Her friends laughed at the girl and they didn t even acknowledge Lila. All her fingernails on each hand started to grow together at an alarming rate, they were twisting and turning in every direction. When they were done growing it was clear what the shape was, it was, it was... AN ARMADILLO (of course no one knew what an armadillo was back then), and it freaked everyone out. It opened it s eyes and looked around at the silenced room, then it leaped right off of Lila s fingertips and left no nail in its place. Her fingertips bleed and bleed, because of the missing nails. A sharp pain was the only memory Clister had of that day (because their memories had to be erased too). Before that day armadillos never existed, EVER, and after this occurred many times, merchants were intrigued by the exotic animal and started to breed the armadillos. This out-of-the-world catastrophe only happened to girls, surprisingly. One Friday evening in The Outback, one scientist will become famous to the government, because everyone s memory was erased again. To solve the problem, Australian animal scientist, Tina Tarantula Hekler, came up with the idea to paint your nails to protect them. A secret solution called nail Polish was created to keep them from
growing at alarming rates. Some girls do not wear nail polish and they are doomed. You have to put on polish at least once a year, although it is better to put it on every 4 months to keep yourself safe. Even though the nail polish and eye color technique works to keep everyone safe, we still have to have caution in what we are doing. Parents aka the government (well some are technically parents), came up with the rule Don t point and stare at people. All children, teen, young adults, adults, and elders think the rule is just so that we are polite, but the government, president, and now you, know the truth. Once every year an armadillo is reborn or someone is blown up, then everyone s memory has to be erased (again)! There is only one problem about the erasing process, it can only erase 500 memories at a time and sometimes they miss a few people. It all depends on the crowd at that particular time, there is one lady that has a metal plate in her head and her memory can t be erased. She was a witness of the explosion casualty. Here is her remark on the situation at hand. Of course I know about the rule and about the attacks, though I would rather forget. My daughter Sally Woodchuck was one of the first stare attacks which is what they called it, she was just an innocent little girl,,. Of course I feel guilty my daughter was that rude. I am so glad that they came up with a solution for the situation involving armadillos and explosions. It might be just me, because I was the only persons memory that was not erased, but I wish they would have came up with the solution sooner. My daughter was the one to start all this and now in some ways she is helping people's lives everyday. She risked her life, though she didn't know she was doing it, to have a concoction to fix this mess, said Sally s mother. We had her describe the day of the accident.
We were walking down the street, because we were off to the dentist. Yes, we were wealthy and I didn t want to brag about it. My daughter did not understand much about wealth, but thought that being vain was ok. There were poorer people than us walking and being the girl that she was, Sarah had to stare. Not many people were paying attention to us, which was fine, until she stared down at that man. When the light up sign turned to the walking man, then I saw something out of the corner of my eye. Sally s eyes were glowing a bright red and her stomach was unusually plump. Next thing I knew, she was as large as an exercise ball.
