The following are philosophies and improvements planned or continued for 2007: Buying 20 New 2007 Yamaha Drive Golf Carts. These are new state of the art golf carts from Yamaha. Changing our tee sheet from 7 1/2 to 8 minute intervals. This small change should reduce the congestion on Hole #1 and Hole #4. Not implementing the 9 and Dine on the weekends. This way we can continue to shotgun backwards the Men s Gangsome and still let members and customers out early in the morning. We will adjust the starting time to try to accommodate both the Men s Gangsome and our members who try to get out early on the weekends. We ask for patience on both parties. Keeping the 2007 Membership rates the same as 2006. Adding a 2007 Senior Full Season Membership and a 2007 Senior Couples Full Season Membership. Maintaining three different Men s Gangsomes along with scoreboards. Maintaining Ladies Play on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings along with scoreboard. Maintaining the Friday Night Couples. This will be hosted by someone in the Golf Shop along with their spouse or significant other. This will be held every Friday night during the prime season. This 9 hole golf and social will be open to all Members and friends. Maintaining the Thursday Night Ladies League. This will be open to all ladies. Char ging $20 more for non full season members on one day tournaments and charging $40 more for non full season members on two day tournaments. This will help offset the green fee difference and make our full season memberships even more valuable. Having GPS and updated Yardage Books put on all carts. Putting split windshields on the majority of our golf carts. Keeping at least 10 covered carts during the winter months. Covered carts can be rented for an additional $10, $15 with a heater. Yearly cart rental members can upgrade to a covered cart for an additional. Then it only costs them an extra $5 each time they rent a heater. Allowing one high school team to practice at at a time. Not a l l o w i n g a n y h i g h s c h o o l p r a c t i c e o n Friday-Sunday. We are honored to have Kamiakin and Southridge Golf Teams practice here and call home. Of course Junior Members of will be able to use our facilities at anytime that they are open. Keeping the driving range on grass all year long. We will continue to use marshals and a starter during the busy times to keep the pace enjoyable for everyone. If you are interested in marshaling or being a starter, please see Mike or Matt. As always, we will continue to do our normal daily maintenance. Some bunkers will have sand added. Trees will be trimmed or taken out. Other trees will be planted. We will work on keeping our greens and golf course as one of the top golf courses in the state. We appreciate your input and support. Entry fee includes green fees, range balls, prizes, and meal. Must be a 2007 member of the Canyon Lakes Men s Club. Lowest handicap players will be captains and will choose teams at 8:00 am. All prizes will be paid in Golf Shop credit and will count towards the 2007 Leading Money List and the 2008 Match Play Championship. The Super Bowl Scramble is scheduled to be over before the Super Bowl starts. Deadline is Thursday, February 1. Entry must be paid at time of sign up. Credit Cards will be accepted. We ask that all players please reserve a tee time and check into the Golf Shop before you play. Our goal is to accommodate as many golfers as possible. We list all shotgun starts on our computer and the Monthly Activity Calendar. Any changes to the schedule are made immediately. Any time that we have a group booked in and they don t take up the full golf course, we will open up tee times for our members and customers. They are as follows: Regular Gangsome: Monday through Thursday at 11:30 am. One gross and one net game. Gross Gangsome: Friday through Sunday; 11:30 am on Fridays and 9:00 am on weekends and holidays. Two gross game. Two Net Gangsome: Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 8:30 am. Two net game. Couples: Sunday Mornings at 10:00 am. The times are all general guidelines. Please check the Monthly Activity Calendar for the exact times and latest changes or see the Golf Shop.
