USEF regulations limit dressage judges to eight hours per day. This equates to approximately 60 rides per day. Entries will be processed in postmark order. Entries received after the show is full, even if postmarked before the closing date, will be put on a waiting list. Classes may not be scheduled in the order published in the class list. Class order and tentative ride times will be determined after close of entries and posted on the website http://www.northwestheritage.org no later than Sunday, March 25, 2012. FINAL class schedule and ride times will be posted at the show office on Wednesday, March 28 th. Responsibility for obtaining ride times from show management remains with the competitors. All riders, when schooling for and competing in dressage, must wear an ASTM/SEI equestrian helmet, properly secured and with harness fastened. Protective headgear is optional only for adults mounted on horses that are only competing in FEI tests. Please carefully read the Dressage chapter in the USEF rule book. DR121 has several changes effective 02/01/2012. Exhibitors are reminded that many commonly used pieces of equipment, such as draw reins, neck stretchers and the like, are illegal in dressage warm-up and competition rings. Please carefully read the Dressage chapter in the USEF rule book. For example, DR121.7 applies when warming up for a dressage class: Driving or long lining is prohibited A lunge line must attach only to the bridle, halter or cavesson and go directly to the hand If you re accustomed to schooling in a Western saddle, you should remember that DR121 requires an English type saddle for dressage competition and schooling. Maximum spur and whip lengths apply for both competition and schooling. www.usef.org.attention COMPETITORS..... Each competitor is responsible for supplying management with correct association numbers (USDF, United States Equestrian Federation, AHA) for horse, owner, rider, and trainer, before the day(s) of the competition. The scores of competitors who fail to supply correct numbers may not be counted toward national awards. Class list as of 01/30/2012 /2012
