2013 CEAD MILE FAILTE Dear Friends, A very warm welcome is extended to you Tir Na nogs second Ramstein Feis. Ramstein is ideally situated in Germany to accommodate dancers from all over Europe. Our nearest airports are Frankfurt Main and Frankfurt Hahn. If you have dancers coming to Hahn make sure to let us know and we will do our best to arrange an airport pickup. When choosing our date in September we thought it would be a great start to the Irish dance year of competitions. It proved successful last year with many of our younger ages moving up a lot quicker at the start of the past dance year. We have a famous dance master from Kerry adjudicating, Mr. Jimmy Smith. So those preparing their traditional sets for the All Irelands will be watched under his watchful eye. We are presently seeking our second judge and it will be announced soon. Ramstein Feis is also good preparation for our Qualifiers that will be held in November, a chance for Opens to try out their new steps and sets learned over the summer. Our venue is a local hall with a beautiful stage and it has hosted many dance shows, like Dance Masters, Spirit of Ireland and Dance of Desire. It is located across from Ramstein train station. We will be running a 2 stage, 2 day feis offering as many dances as we can and combining ages enabling dancers to move up. If numbers are big we can increase to a 3 stage feis. We are currently trying to work a special deal with one or maybe two of the local hotels. Watch out for more details on our website. Included is a provisional timetable, a final timetable will be issued to all entered schools, and will also be published on our web site once all the entries have been received. We look forward to seeing you all in September, and thank you in advance for your support! Safe travels, Mary Murray Sweeney ADCRG Shane McAvinchey TCRG
