Swimmers and Coaches must be registered and in good standing (Swimmers with SNL and coaches with SNC, NLSCA, CSCA. Deck entries may be accepted depending on lane availability. Billeting will not be available at this meet. There will be a canteen upstairs during the meet. Pat.kearney@bellaliant.ca Events and Seeding: This is an invitational meet and open to all swimmers registered with SNL. The races over 50m will all be timed finals. The 50 meter races will have prelims and finals. Notes: Due to severe allergies please ask your team members not to bring products containing peanuts to this facility. All Entries must be uploaded onto the meet entry system at www.swimmeet.ca/meetlist.aspx no later than 7:00pm November 23, 2013. However it would be appreciated if entries can be made earlier. Late entries can not be assured acceptance. A $100.00 penalty will be applied to all late entries. Heat Sheets will be provided to coaches Wednesday November 27. Entries: Time finals races will be open seeded and results provided by age group. Prelims will be swum open seeded, and finals age group seeded. Meet manager reserves the right to combine heats and events when numbers warrant. Entries will be based on gender and age groups 10 and under, 11 and 12, 13 and 14, and 15 and over. Entry fees are set at $32 per swimmer. ($20.00 meet fee, $7.00 SNL Clock fund, and $5.00 SNL Swimmer Development Fund.) Payment to the Gander Lakers 2
Scoring Swim Club is due at the first meet session. Scratch forms must be completed by the finish of the first warm-up of each session. There will be no refund for scratches received after 6pm Monday November 26, 2013. There will be a brief coaches meeting during the warm-up of the first session. Coaches will be notified of the meeting time. Swimmers can race in 6 events over the meet (excluding relays and 50m final). No limit per session but at least one event (excluding a 50 m final) per session must be swum. Relays: There will be no age restriction on relays. The age of the oldest swimmer will determine the age category of that team. Relay entries including swimmers names must be submitted with entries. Changes to names are permitted 30 minutes prior to the start of that session. Relay names will not be printed in any programs. Swimmers may swim in all relays. Individual: Points will be based on age groups 10 and under, 11 and 12, 13 and 14, and 15 and over. Finals will be scored 1st through 6th, using the following point system 7, 5, 4,3,2,1. Awards Team Award Relays will be scored using the following point system 14,10,8,6,4,2. Only the fastest relay from each team per age group will score. Place Ribbons will be awarded for 1st- 6th place. Top Achiever Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be awarded for the overall top aggregate point winners in each age group. Place Ribbons will be awarded for 1st- 6 th place relay teams by age group. There will be team awards based upon age group champions for male and female combined. 3

It is incumbent on all participants, i.e. meet management, coaches, swimmers, and officials to comply with these procedures. Non compliance with these procedures will result in a warning or removal of the swimmer from the warm up pool, and possible further reporting to meet management and the Referee for action under rule SW 2.1.1. Meet management shall designate Safety Marshals to actively monitor the warm up period in the competition pool and ensure compliance with these procedures. Safety Marshals should be notified of any disabled swimmers who are participating in warm ups. Safety Marshals shall be responsible to the Referee for all aspects of safety related to conduct during the warm up period.. and shall ensure that all appropriate warm up procedures are followed. (CSW 2.13.1.5) General Warm Up Rules: Swimmers shall enter the water FEET FIRST in a cautious manner. No Running on the pool deck or Diving from the side of the pool. Meet Management shall designate lane use during warm-up. Diving Starts are only permitted in the designated Sprint Lanes (at the deep end only) during the warm up period. 5
Lanes shall be open primarily for Circle Swimming during the General warm up period. Coaches and swimmers shall allow Backstrokers & SWAD the right of way for safety purposes. Meet Management may designate a Sprint Lane(s) and/or a Pace Lane(s) throughout the general warm up period. Specific/Sprint Warm Up Period: Sprint and Pace lanes must be opened for at least the last 30 minutes of warm ups or as designated by meet management. Outside Lanes should be designated as Sprint Lanes. Only one way swimming shall be permitted in Sprint Lanes. Sprint Lanes, Pace Lanes, and Circle Swimming lanes shall be clearly marked with signage. The following statement shall appear in the meet information and in posted notices: "SNC WARM UP PROCEDURES WILL BE IN EFFECT AT THIS MEET". Equipment: FLUTTER BOARDS and PULLBUOYS are allowed. HAND PADDLES and FLIPPERS (ZOOMERS) are NOT ALLOWED. SNC Board Approved July 6, 2005 6
